Think Shabs is right (as ever...). Don't give them too many details but it will probably help for them to know he has to have a test done for something. OK they will worry I am sure, I know I did when my dad had the same thing, but I was glad he told us (admittedly I am a lot older than your three).

ChopsTheDuck · 06/03/2008 13:33

I agree with shabs too. We all want to protect our children, but they are old enough to be told he is jsut going for some tests. I think you NEED to get the appointment done asap, you can't keep dragging it out and worrying about it. xxx

I wish I was closer, I'd be over in a shot! Can your mother help out?

Chops why are you a duck?

shabster · 06/03/2008 14:14

Pardon me speaking on Chops the ducks behalf. HM was cooking duck and Chops was just interested how she was cooking it.

HM came on (all Jamie Oliver like) and started her post with 'Chops the duck' there was a suggestion made to Chops that she should change her name to it. I think it sounds really cute.

I can imagine your face is like this now but you would have been amused by it at the time

Hi!

Hope y'all OK. The last 1000 messages pretty much passed me by. But now I am on holiday for a few days I will be able to MN to my heart's content! Of course I might actually make it off the life support machine laptop and go out if the sun comes back at all.

So what's been going on? Vaguely picked up something about duck a la cider??!?

Pazza xxx

PazzaPlusTwo · 06/03/2008 15:02

This might amuse you, I instigated a swear box at home so that I can reprogramme my foul Mancunian mouth before the innocents arrive.

Only started a week ago and I am 18 QUID lighter already!!!

ChopsTheDuck · 06/03/2008 15:03

£18!!!

What constitutes swearing then? One of the dts' first words was 'bugger'!

PazzaPlusTwo · 06/03/2008 15:10

Almost everything that comes out of my mouth by the looks of it!

Mind you I did get stood up by the gas man again so that was quite expensive.

for your dts'!!!

at this rate our dts will be getting a gold-plated buggy with hot and cold running water and drinks cabinet

p'raps i should take a monastic vow of silence

shabster · 06/03/2008 15:26

Right girls, have started new thread for advice on tandem feeding (bottles). Can any of you help me out here.

Thank you kindly!

Oh, and hello to everyone .

Got to get back to those babies, I think there is some puking going on (just harmless milk, so much nicer than toddler puke...).

PazzaPlusTwo · 06/03/2008 15:52

Maybe you can suggest some!!! We need something that's pronouncable in English, German, Spanish and French. Eurotrash family!

Shortlist at the mo:
Eva Carmen Carla Jacqueline Isabelle Anais Lucia Isadora Ines Sasha

Surname is Boettcher (delightful, no?! ), DH refuses anything German or Russian. Guess what he said when I proposed Anais (which is still one of my faves) "no way it sounds like anus/penis/cannabis"

Pregnancy is fine, had my 28 week scan they look sooo cute, dt1 needs to turn round though ... and then they showed us the forceps at antenatal class ...

those are beautiful names! I wouldn't worry about what they might get called, kids will make a play on anything if they want to!
I do wonder if Akshay is going to get called Astray at school, but we loved the name, and he mostly gets called Shay anyway.

I think with that surname, the shorter ones are less of a mouthful. Love Eva, and Lucia.

shabster · 06/03/2008 15:58

Love Isabelle (if my granbaby, due on 10th June, had been a little girl that would have been the chosen name) like Sasha as well.

I love the name Martha but I dont think it goes very well with your surname.

Oh pazz.....back away from the forceps....dont even make eye contact with them.

So glad everything is going well. Just think, I found out I was having TWIN boys on the 18th December, 1981 and I delivered them on 28th December, 1981. I got to 38 weeks and then they induced me.

frumpygrumpy · 06/03/2008 15:58

Mmmmn, I like it

Helloo Momma, you did a valiant job of the cleaning

shabster · 06/03/2008 15:59

frumpy - it takes a lot to make me laugh out loud - BUT you and Mr Peter Kay have got it! Whatever it is

Hiya my lovley
