Shabster, that drives me mad, when you start phoning the doc's at the time they say they're open for business...it's engaged for ages and then when you get through there's no appointments left. on your behalf. Hope your DS feels better soon.

Pixi, hope you are resting...happy moving day (but try to do as little as poss .

Leo, a belated happy birthday to your lovely DTs (sorry I forgot to say the other day). Hope you had a lovely day and a fab party on Sunday .

Chopster, I had one of those shopping trips yesterday - DD1 and DT1 pretending to be mannequins in M&S etc. I would normally have found it funny and cute - they weren't actually being naughty but just having fun. But I was stressed and hormonal and so a bit too strict - story of their lives this week, they are all looking forward to going back to school - it's not been a great half-term for them.

FG, you made me laugh so much last night when I read your message - I was exhausted so didn't reply at the time, but went to bed singing . So today, I'm having my nails done this morning, then going to the pub where we're having the reception to check it's all arranged properly and put out the place cards etc (which DD1 has written in her best 4.6 y.o. writing, bless). Then home to iron my dress (am a bit scared about this bit, but it's got to be done), bath and shaving etc. I'm feeling excited, nervous, stressed, knackered (DT2 up at 1.30am with diarrhoea, DP up at 5.40 for work), ill (had runs myself last night) and a leetle bit worried that AF hasn't arrived yet but not thinking about that till Tuesday.

Will see you all later for my hen night - well I'm not letting you do it without me now .

Tkb - I bet you are getting so excited!! Good luck for tomorrow, cant wait to see some piccies! I tried to find you on FAcebook as I know your real name, and couldnt......are you on there?

Nh101 - my DH was born in the UK but his parents emigrated to Aus when he was 4. They lived in Grafton in NSW, but he moved to Brisbane to go to uni so thats where he regards as home. His Mum and one of his sisters live there still so thats where we always go on holidays. I love it there, I never want to come back to the UK!!

Oh and Estar - I was only joking you know!!

Would you believe DH was away in London last night and DD slept through!! Ha ha, she is officially a little darling today, bet she doesnt do it again tonight though!!

Just got back from pigging doctors. Have been there and in pharmacy about 3 hours!!! Doc just said (after checking him over) its not a virus just a bad cough.

Gave me some calpol type stuff and I asked for a good cough medicine. 'We dont give cough medicine on prescription' and the best bit 'none of them are of much use anyway'.

So into the pharmacey to pay for the cough medicine and have to elbow my way through the druggies bringing their syringes back in exchange for new ones - the druggies that I KNOW have never worked a day in their lives cause I have known them since they were teenagers and.......................................................

shabster · 22/02/2008 13:22

Anybody know an exact time that triplets is back? She will have some ace stories about her mum, her DH and the three sprogs - COME HOME TRIPS

frumpygrumpy · 22/02/2008 13:34

Hey Momma, show me the holes and I'll fill them right up [innocent]

How cute is that about your babes! I took my DTs to their gym thing yesterday. On the way there, they were both singing "Roary the Racing Car" at the top of their voices and laughing. When they did the verse, they took line about and dissolved into fits about it. Special times.

I think Mars is back this weekend. We'll just share her wine around at the hen night right? No point in saving it for her, I'm sure she said she doesn't drink ......

frumpygrumpy · 22/02/2008 13:41

shabster, thats crap. GPs have this great knack of making you feel so stupid! Cough medicines do help certain coughs. Remember an extra pillow for your DS tonight as it will help stop the phlegm running down the back of his throat and making him cough even more. I hope last night was his worst one and that he improves soon. I have hideous tonsils atm and ache in lots of places. Its not nice. I love Vick, works wonders. My chest does too.

HarrogateMum · 22/02/2008 13:44

arent we doing champers sweeties for the hen night? Us unicorns dont drink anything else y'know......

frumpygrumpy · 22/02/2008 14:12

HM, is the unicorn chat a facebook thing? I still had a black & white telly with a dial until I was well over 20 so facebook will come to me in my retirement I think.........and I don't like microwaves and mobile phones. I do shave regularly though

frumpygrumpy · 22/02/2008 14:13

Ooh and I have limes and lemons. And skips.

HarrogateMum · 22/02/2008 14:29

nooooo FG - Shabster and Snorris were talking about the diff between a pony and a horse and Shabster decided she was a pony as she is 4ft 11in, so I asked what I am as I am a whole foot taller at 5ft 11in and someone said I would be a unicorn, a description which I rather liked and will harp on about until you all tell me to shut up - no jokes about the horn!

HarrogateMum · 22/02/2008 14:34

sorry, not SOMEONE said I was a unicorn, the very lovely and youthful Tripley Tigger said it!!

And Shabs the reason she looks about 16 on her profile is probably because she is - are you sure those kids are yours Em???!!!!!

shabster · 22/02/2008 15:20

HMum - I also likened you to one of those elegant white horses that dance - No I havent had any apple juice yet - YET.
The horses are either spanish or italian or some other european place and they do all the fancy moves - thought they were called appaloosa horses. I just googled them and they arent the right ones - snorris where are you, help???

Tell you what - sod it - I like unicorns very much and they are easy to google.

TripleyTigger · 22/02/2008 15:25

HM during the day

shabster · 22/02/2008 15:25

Ta frumpy - I agree GP's are bobbins!!

We did the extra pillow thing last night - and I ended up bringing him downstairs and we both slept on our comfy sofas. However, I just noticed two of my posh cushions (and we havent got much that is posh!) are covered in a rather delicate chicken curry pattern!!! Yuk - throw them away or reheat for tea only joking.

Its hard also to tell my doctor that yes I know he just has a cough but at 2 am when he cant stop being sick I think that something really, really awful is going to happen to him. Illogical - yes. I should know better. I am a cockeyed optimist (I know everything will be ok just not sure when)

HarrogateMum · 22/02/2008 15:26

Shabs - you should see me dance. I dont think you would call me an appaloosa then! Come on put your name down for the meetup, persuade trips to come and you can share a room and you can see my great galumphing-ness when I dance (thats a new word by the way)

TripleyTigger · 22/02/2008 15:26

HM on a night out

shabster · 22/02/2008 15:27

Triptigger - that is ace - lmao

Find one of those dumpy shetland pony things that the cartoons are based on - cause I reckon thats me

HarrogateMum · 22/02/2008 15:27

Tigger - my bum IS that hairy!!

TripleyTigger · 22/02/2008 15:28

for shabs

shabster · 22/02/2008 15:28

HM - DH (also stands for Richard Cranium) wont allow me out until he gets a new key for my chastity belt.

If I assure him no men are there he will say that me and trips are lesbians - and I have only kissed her a couple of times with tongues

TripleyTigger · 22/02/2008 15:30

Shabs having lunch
