The club where they film Pheonix Nights is about a mile from our house. Its called St. Gregorys social club. We had eldest DS 21st birthday party there. All the extras are real old biddies who go in that club. Peter Kay paid them £25 quid every time they appeared on Pheonix Nights. Cause we know them all it was hysterical to watch.

Believe me Peter Kay makes none of his stories up - life in Bolton is exactly how he describes it.

Oo yes pass the Doritos, I love the cheesy ones, in fact I am quite peckish, and I know I`ve got a bag of choc nuts in the fridge, but after catching sight of my ageing neck today in a shop mirror I am not touching them............then again........

Aw trips - you look ace. Took DS to barbers today. Barber is about 21, young Asian lad - he is beautiful (know thats not the right word to describe a man but its the right word for him) I have watched Ubi grow up and know him well.

Sat waiting for him to finish cutting DS hair and he was talking in urdu to his friend. I said 'come on Ubi - in English!!' He said 'I was just saying to my mate I love English women over 45 they are ace, they know what to do, what not to do, they are confident and beautiful - oldies but goldies' I accepted that as a compliment and I dont care what other people think of what he said. I walked home about an inch above the ground.
