Potty training...........a vague distant memory............I did mine one at a time, Thomas was always first to do anything, followed by Rebecca, then last but not least..James. I did the same thing with all three, took off nappies and followed them around for 2-3 days, no nappy at night time either, just lifted them as I went to bed, it worked for all three! Thomas was 2yrs 8ths, Rebecca, 2yrs 11ths, James 3yrs and 2 ths! Never looked back, lucky I think!

Chopster · 24/01/2008 16:28

wow Ive never heard of anyone doing night time at the same time.

triplets · 24/01/2008 16:35

Really? Well I just thought I would be confusing them by putting a nappy on at night when they couldn`t during the day! Also felt I suppose it would take twice as long the other way! I guess I was lucky!

TripleyTigger · 24/01/2008 16:50

Chops it seemed forever until the first one started to use the potty, they were behind all of my smug lovely friends kids!!
But as soon as Molly went,it happened really quickly with the others, i would say they were all using their potties within a month of Molly.
I used to do the thing where I left the potties in the bathroom and totally ignored them until one of them asked and then say something like Are you sure? potties are for really big children?
If they think its not for them, they will actually want to use it!!!!!!!

As for nights, for some reason my kids have always been dry(thank god) through the night, even when small. I just took them off in the end to save money!!!

FG I've got thrush too, argh, I went to the Boots medicine counter and the pharmacist said 'I can't sell you anything over the counter you have to get a note from your midwife' - I thought well great I only see her in 3 weeks time I'll just walk around John Wayne style till then shall I?

Hohum. Any home remedies?

Cheers Tigger

How much/often and how long for?!!! Wash it off after?

Damn those hats

TripleyTigger · 24/01/2008 21:27

I have been told, that if it is quite bad you can dip a...ahem...tampon in the yogurt and.....you know!!! Oh bloody hell!! Wheres a grown up?

I would say apply it as and when you need to,couple of hours then wash off and start again?
Prepare to feel a bit squelshy, but it really does give relief.
And don't do what I did and go into a small shop and ask them if they sell live yougurt 'cos those people know!!!!!

Country folk now them kinda secrets

Chopster · 25/01/2008 07:39

lol at tigger's links. I could do with some of fg's medicine. Thank god it friday.

The yoghurt thing does not work! All it does it make a yucky yucky mess. Pazza, go to a different pharmacy, most will give oyu somthing especially if you tell them you get it all the time and you aren't going to try to ram the applicator up as far as your throat.

Have put dt1 in pants agin this morning, but still not sure whether to send him to preschool in them.
