Chops our shower broke 3 weeks ago! We are still waiting for it to be fixed, i am hating the bath

Sure the hoze can be fixed.

Chopster · 24/01/2008 12:39

I'm going to try that today thanks momma. Fingers crossed for the hose, dp is going to look in B&Q at lunchtime.

Dare I whisper it - dt1 has been in pants all day and no accidents! I've decided it has to be easier to do one at a time. Dt2 is loving it, he gets a choc button every time dt1 does a pee!

Chopster · 24/01/2008 12:40

anyone else finding today is really dragging.

PazzaPlusTwo · 24/01/2008 12:56

Chops maybe wrap gaffer tape round the split? Won't look too sexy but should let you have a few showers till you get a replacement.

I agree today is pants. I've taken the day off work cos I've already been to Slough once and Croydon twice this week for work so I need a rest. I bought myself two massive bunches of roses (pink and red) yesterday at the station to cheer myself up. They look fabulous in and are totally having the desired effect

Hmm I can't remember what to do with a day off!

Pazza x

TripleyTigger · 24/01/2008 13:29

Chops today is dragging. I am so unmotivated too!!!!

I did my three one at a time when it came to the potty. The one who was the most interested went first, then when the other two saw her using the potty they wanted to be the same. Although Brandon did go straight onto the toilet because he didn't like to sit so close to his poo and was afraid his wee would overflow!!!! Which I think is totally understandable, those pottys aren't actually that deep!!

theslownorris · 24/01/2008 13:32

Am I the only one who wants the day to drag? I have a child-free afternoon and have loads to do . (Probably shouldn't be here then ).
Dh potty trained my two,but they were nearly four so it only took a week each!

TripleyTigger · 24/01/2008 13:33

Oh and can I just say "Hands up I win" on the shower debate!!!!

My shower has been in my shed, boxed for nearly five years now.

If i want a shower I have to fight with one of those horrible little 'on the tap' rubber ones, that fly off if you try and run the tap faster than a drip and either scold you or freeze you, when you are stood naked and cold in the bath!!!!!

TripleyTigger · 24/01/2008 13:36

Goodness Norris!!! How on earth did you handle doing nappies until then!!!

A three years old poo was bad enough for me!!! I would of had to have strapped a potty on their bum!!!!!!!

TripleyTigger · 24/01/2008 13:37

Sorry though you said they were four!!

Chopster · 24/01/2008 13:40

you are supposed to spend it on mumsnet and facebook. Cept facebook refuses to work on my pc any more. Very annoying!

tigger, how long a gap did you leave between starting each one? I really want to get them out of nappies, and I think dt1 is going all the way this time.

Pazza, I will have to try something like that if not. God knows how long it will take the landlady to sort it out, and I am not going near the plumbing. Last time I tried to change a light fixture I ended up calling an emergency electrician!

Chopster · 24/01/2008 13:42

its the poo that does my head in! And the cost of nappies for multiples.

I used to have one of those little rubber thingys! Wouldn't really work here though, the shower has some sort of electric pump in it because the water pressure is non existant. I will be stuck with baths if I can't do soemthing with it.

theslownorris · 24/01/2008 13:43

Doh! I got it wrong . It was just after their 3td birthday.

HarrogateMum · 24/01/2008 13:44

Norris - I think my DT1 is going to be nearly 4......he is 3.2 and resolutely refuses to go near a potty or the toilet......it really does my head in but people keep telling me not to stress about it....

Chopster · 24/01/2008 13:45

hm, what about dt2? I'm not sure my dt2 is ready, but I'm jsut hoping he will copy dt1.

theslownorris · 24/01/2008 13:46

3td??? What the hell's that? 3rd
Don't talk to me about pooh-we call M "toxic bum" . I used cloth nappies too [smug smile].

theslownorris · 24/01/2008 13:51

Dt2 was a bit like that,HM. That, why I was glad dh took on the task. Although that was because I was sspending half my time in hospital with dd4. I'm sure there may have been a fair bit of bribery involved and the promise of Dora knickers .

HarrogateMum · 24/01/2008 13:55

Chops - DT2 was done in October, a month before his third birthday, he is brill (but still in pull-ups at night - when do you know to take them out of those?)

Chopster · 24/01/2008 13:56

Ive promised fireman sam kickers. Just been on ebay hunting for them, panicking in case they didn't have any!

theslownorris · 24/01/2008 13:56

Pass! Mine are still in pull-ups!! I'll be interested to know the answer to that one.

Chopster · 24/01/2008 13:58

Hmm maybe I will have to elave dt2 a bit. Might give him a go next weekend. He is willing, jsut not very able!

Nightime I was really flukey with. They say wait until they have a dry or nearly dry nappy in the mornings and then do it, but my older two never did. So I jsut went without and never had a wet bed. I think dd was about 2.5, ds1 not really sure - both were about 6 mnths after day training. ds1 was actually because I forgot to put it on one night!

theslownorris · 24/01/2008 14:01

Right,I must go and clean my car out. It is vile.

Girls, two days ago was supposed to be the most depressing day of the year, so that's why today is dragging.

So it can only get better for the rest of the year!

Chopster · 24/01/2008 16:27

dt1 made it up the school and back and still dry. Now got to decide wt to do abt pre school tomo. If I put a pull up on him he will wee in it. Not sure what the school will be like with constant trips to the toilet or any accidents though. Hmm!
