Look, look! Not only am I here, but I've started a new thread!

Yes, that makes it worse, these are from bloody Lidl and are chocolate tree decorations (given on 31 Dec when tree is all falling apart anyway). They are not even nice. She brought him a large box of chocs back from holiday in September, and a bloody chocolate advent calendar that I refused to give to him (did not tell her) as I didn't want him expecting to get a chocolate every day as standard.

Did I mention she got him a full sized Easter Egg when he was 9 weeks old? Thankfully that was Cadburys and I ATE IT ALL.

estar · 02/01/2008 13:47

I wonder how long will we have these - (tee tee, I'm so FANGRY!) (and FENVIOUS, tee hee)

Just taking advantage.....

ESTAR, go and get some work done!

Egg · 02/01/2008 13:56

Was wondering that too . Thought they might be gone today.

Egg · 02/01/2008 13:59

Hey Estar, any new pics of Levi? Just checked your profile to see and they are only his newborn ones. Is he as gorgeous as the other three boys?

estar · 02/01/2008 15:36

Funny you should say that Egg, I'm just trying to upload them onto the PC now from Christmas but its playing sillybeggers (ha ha, what a mum phrase) and taking a very long time. I may manage to get a couple on here by the end of today. Would be much easier if I wasn't bfing and had both hands free!

Oh yeah, have any of you southwesterners been to the dinosaur museum at Dorset? We are travelling to Cornwall on Friday for a week and it's ds1's brithday so wanted to stop somewhere fun. It says its very hands-on - this is very important because the dts are 'hands-on' wherever we go anyway so it would be nice if they were allowed! Do you know if its good for 6year olds, 4year olds and 10week olds? (And a slightly grumpy-from-the-long-drive 32 year old DH? )

largevirginbirthandtonic · 02/01/2008 16:38

Dont know anything about the Dinosaur Museum but there are lots of places that are good. PennyWell Farm is great but bloomin cold this time of year. Will post if i think of anything else.

Thank you Momma, indeed, not one to report

Egg · 02/01/2008 19:07

Triplets wasn't it you who only gained 1.5 stone with THREE babies??? I seem to remember reading that early on in this pregnancy and taking heart! I have now gained about 1 stone 4lbs so reckon I am heading for about 1.5 stone in total, which is same as with DS. Unless of course I swell and swell each day from now on, in which case i might hit 4 stone gain!

Now, I am sure I have asked before but am TOO LAZY to do a search. Can you multiple mums tell me, did you put your little ones in same cot or separate cots from the beginning, and how well did they sleep????

Also, when in hospital, if I need to express milk, do they have expressers you can use or do I need to have my own already?

TripleyTigger · 02/01/2008 19:30

Psst!! Has FG been in yet? No? Darn it!!!

I'm not meant to be on the computer, not well, nothing to worry about but meant to be in bed......

Oh and Egg I had no stretch marks at all during my PG.............until the last month!!! Then they appeared!!! ALL OF THEM!!!!!!

devondoris · 02/01/2008 19:50

V quick before FG notices (though I'm sure that's more kind of grammatical and do you know I'd never noticed a different spelling before - oops).

Same cot until they can't move at all in any direction and you really have to get them out! Mine grew out of the crib in two weeks and the cot in 5 months. Slept perfectly and now sleep next to each other in separate cots - except for tonight when they've cackled insanely at each other whilst lobbing various cuddlies at each other.

I am so bossy

Its just a colloquialism (sp?)really. Up here we say "d'y fancy a glass of wine", "d'y work Mondays", d'y mind if I rest my bairn on your hip instead of mine", that kind of stuff. D'ya is not right up here at all. [hopeful return]

Finally, (as expected) illness hit DT1 last night. Vomitted 3 times So, 2 flus and a sick virus white wine and onion rings anyone?

frumpygrumpy · 02/01/2008 20:29

I got no stretch marks in any pregancy.

Had heaps when I was an overweight teenager though.

oooggs · 02/01/2008 21:06

momma - dcs are all good thank you

egg - I had dts in same cotbed (in cot mode) till 5.5 mths then into their own about a foot apart. Didn't seperate them in moses baskets at all and they wouldn't have been able to share a basket cos they were too dam big!

Ohhhhh estar - Cornwall - wave to me when you pass - cos thats where I am!!!!!!

oooggs · 02/01/2008 22:00

help needed here

estar · 02/01/2008 23:17

Did it, did it! New photos up

MarsLady · 02/01/2008 23:22

Same cots! Much easier (when they actually slept there).

triplets · 02/01/2008 23:44

Lovely pics Estar! When mine came home from hospital Thomas and Rebecca shared a cot but James went into Matthews moses basket as he was sooo tiny. Put them all into their own cots at as soon as Tom Tom started wriggling! He was the first to do everything! Yes, I did only put on 1 and a half stone, wish that was the case now!

triplets · 03/01/2008 00:51

Night night to all, esp Momma if you look in late............left the teasmade ready and a slice of ldc!

Ahhhh Estar, Levi is as gorgeous as his brothers. So cute. I am sooooooo excited about having babies!

Thanks for all advice on cots. Makes me feel better anyway as still only one cot at the mo, second one arrives in a week! I sneaked a look at the Gina Ford twins book (I WAS GIVEN TWO COPIES (yes two) I DID NOT BUY IT) and of course she says separate cots from birth. Should I burn the book now?

Triplets, our most likely names for our twins are Jacob and Rebecca, but DH is still not 100% sure and it could be Thomas and Rebecca! Did not realise I was copying you so much... I hope you don't mind. Matthew was also on my shortlist too! I love the name James but worked in a department with five of them and it kind of put me off, but it is a great name.

Surfnicky · 03/01/2008 10:38

Hi everyone (again!)...sorry for not dropping in again sooner but hopefully I can be a bit more regular now. Marslady - thanks for remembering me from the other thread!

Hope you've all had good Christmasses, etc. We had a great time with our little ladies, now 18 and a bit weeks. I can't believe how much time has flown!

Can I ask advice on babies sleep & awake time? Mine seem to only be able to stay awake for about 1 hour to 1 hour 15mins without starting to get fussy. This seems like a really short period of time, bearing in mind that most babies I know can handle 2 hours at least at this age. If I catch them in time, they do go down for a nap fairly easily but if I try and eek out their awake time then it is a bit of a nightmare getting them to sleep. They cried most of yesterday for this reason. When they do nap they are totally happy when they wake - lots of smiles, giggles, etc. I'm just wondering if I overstimulate them when they are awake? I talk to them almost constantly or play with them - do you think it would be worth leaving them to their own devices a bit? It's not a huge problem but it does mean than when we're out (at a coffee morning or such) then they really can't play happily for that long.

Any advice appreciated!!

Oh - and one more q. I've been exclusively BF the dts (always at the same time) and it's going really well. They are now starting to get a bit wriggly and I'm finding positioning more of an issue. Has anyone got any tips on better positions (am currently using rugby ball hold) for slightly bigger babies...?

MarsLady · 03/01/2008 10:53

Egg burn them now! You have all the help you need here. Besides.. we want you to breastfeed successfully!

Yes... they do get wriggly don't they? You kind of have to fight through it (much as you would with a singleton). Try cross cradle where they lie across each other. The novelty may keep them a wee bit still... can't promise though. WELL DONE for exclusive bfing! and WELCOME BACK!
