Hey ladies!

Most of the way through my assignment now. Just baked a cake for the antenatal group. Popping tea in for the children, doing some work on a doula course and trying to find another lady a doula as I'm chokka!

I have seen the section of the DVD that I'm going to be in and it's not too bad! lol

Right... time to get the kettle on, pop the chicken in and ice the cake!

Chopster · 22/01/2008 16:12

How can it sitll only be tuesday?

I've completed my first tma, fingers crossed it will be ok. The second looks a nightmare though.

dt1 is very pleased with himself today for managing a poo in the toilet. He seems to be terrified of pooing in the loo and this is only the second time every he has managed it. We be attempting potty training again!

HarrogateMum · 22/01/2008 16:29

oh Chops I wish I was potty training my DT1, he still has no interest and insists on a nappy, he is 3.2 and has yet to do any kind of poo in a potty/toilet etc.......

piximon · 22/01/2008 20:29

Mars are you really going to manage getting down here? Surely you're too busy. I'm paid up here till the 15th Feb, so looking to move over that weekend.

Spent whole day house hunting with no success. First house perfect, near where I'd like to settle, spacious and cheap, but on main road with almost no pavement outside, no local shop or primary school so no good for me on my own.
Second house the agent didn't show up, no call or anything, just gave up waiting after half an hour. Last house was really small, on a road full of students and opposite a construction site and railway line oh and it had no bath and if you opened the bathless bathroom door no one else could get in or out of any of the rooms upstiars.

Not much fun for the DCs being stuck in the car all day. Off to visit another property tomorrow on Ladysmith Rd. Google maps shows it's close to a school so could be promising.

I'm finding everything a real struggle at the moment so I haven't caught up with the thread.

frumpygrumpy · 22/01/2008 20:48

DD1 is 7 today! Had party for her friends at the weekend, party for family today, DT2 has had a hideous virus since the weekend and I have had no sleep (saw every hour with him for 3 nights now, docs tomorrow), I don't know where I left my head and I'm sleepy.

Pixi, is your DH with you yet? Wish you could be online more to offload, it helps to share. Good luck with it all xxx.

What is this talk of shopping? Does 'meet up' not mean everyone swanking in for around Saturday 1pm, lunching with wine, going to sleep for a couple of hours, waking up, sharing hair straighteners over bubbly and heading out for dinner? Staying out till we can laugh no more, eating crap on the way home, waking up jaded but managing a fry up before tearful farewells around 12noon on the Sunday? I have children to mother FGS

iamdingdong · 22/01/2008 20:53

ah yes FG but I like to shop and don't get the chance v often, so if I can run up a credit card bill, meet up with you lot, eat, drink and dance myself stupid all in one weekend I would consider myself to be v well organised and a fab multi tasker

Night night Momma, sleep well xxx
Triplets is in heaven at the thought of stash of nuts left by Momma....
I will bring the chocs and nuts for the meet up!

estar · 22/01/2008 22:30

Oooo, this meet-up is sounding better by the minute. May I request to whoever is looking into where that it's somewhere near a railway station. Suspect that most of us will have to leave cars behind for our poor unfortunate other halves while they try and keep the DCs entertained without us....mwah ha ha ha ha ha!

Right, I'm opening the book - my tenner's on Mars being on WifeSwap. I'd love to see another woman trying to take on Mars' life for a fortnight - and then dare to try and find ways to improve it. Oh, pleeeeease say it's WifeSwap, Marsy!

MarsLady · 22/01/2008 22:34

I'm going to do my best Pixi. So far the weekend of the 1st Feb is looking promising as I don't go on call until the 4th. Will text and let you know. Might only be for a one night... but the DTs and I will definitely come visit!

DS1 wasn't as gutted as I thought he'd be when I got home this evening. Spurs thrashed the Gooners 5:1

MarsLady · 22/01/2008 22:35

Tell you what Estar... I'll swap with you!

estar · 22/01/2008 23:00

No way! The only woman I'd swap with is a rich lady with housemaids and a single child. I'd sleep my way through the first week and not change a thing in the second.

It would make a dull program, but I'd have a wonderful time

MarsLady · 22/01/2008 23:35

That's me to a tee!
