merly you're doing brilliantly, nearly cooked now

chopster my DTs love camping, we went to weymouth last summer and they saw some pikeys lovely kids walking their ferrets on leads, they still go on about it now, esp when we go to the pet shop 'mum can we get a new lead for our ferret?' at the top of their voice

Chopster · 21/01/2008 18:44

the thing I really don't get is, how do you stop them from escaping the tent in the middle of the night and running amock? How do you even persuade them to go to sleep in a tent in the first place?

iamdingdong · 21/01/2008 18:48

ah well, we started when they were 9 months so they have got used to it we sleep in with them all together, cosier and easier to deal with middle of the night screams quickly!

oooggs · 21/01/2008 18:49

merly - doing very well cooking those twins mine were 6lb14oz & 7lb14oz born at 38 weeks

triplets · 21/01/2008 19:41

Why don`t we rent a big house for a w/end? If we all chip in it could work our quite cheap, how about a youth hostel, lets all put our thinking caps on, it would be a hoot! When though?

iamdingdong · 21/01/2008 19:42

I guess I only suggested the Cotswolds as I was thinking about the folks from the South Coast and South EAst and WEst. But you're right it isnt that far I suppose!! Maybe we should go further north - Manchester for a city break? Or the Peak District for countryside?

Thoughts ladies???

iamdingdong · 21/01/2008 19:48

could do weekends though, obviously, am used to driving down to cotswolds on fri night to see family for the weekend but can't do long weekends

Blimey,I get dragged back into real life and then it takes a week to catch up . We've still got bugs hanging around-dd1 reckons she's had a cough since mid-December. Dh & I decided that the pit she calls a bedroom must be harbouring the germs so we were really evil parents today & removed everything from the floor. She's not left with much .
The dt's are really starting to show their independence from each other. I bought them matching pink coats in a sale (normally try not to dress them the same). K refused to wear hers and said she wanted a purple one . Luckily I found one elsewhere. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that they will be in the same class all through first school but they do have their own friends. Their teacher is very good though and they aren't the only twins in their class!

PazzaPlusTwo · 22/01/2008 00:02

Hi y'all

Just to say thanks for the doula leads and hospital-tackling ideas back on page 27 of the thread ... definitely didn't go unappreciated, I'm just not quick enough to reply before the thread has leapt and bounded to another dimension!!! You are all toooo quick!

Oh a weekend away sounds fab ... ... but just bought a sofa and have 2 rooms to decorate (ahem ... supervise DH decorating?!) before arrival of beloved munchkins ... have fun!

Pazza x
