Thanks Momma and Mars. I did kind of vaguely follow the GF routines with DS when he got a bit older, but never woke him for a dream feed, never expressed and gave bottles at bedtime as standard (although did start doing it just because he was soooooo hungry then) and certainly didn't express like she said I should. Such a faff to express 1oz and then have to sterilise the whole damn thing, I used to express at 3am when DS had fed from one side and I could get 10oz out of the other side, so lots to keep us going in emergencies!

While I remember, my lovely friend Squonk will let you know if anything happens with the babies, I will text her when I am off to hospital / given birth etc etc. She is under strict instructions to inform everyone asap!

Ahh, thanks guys. I have more pics on my facebook page if you want to see.

Momma, I love your new pics too! Its great how your dts look similar enough to have the cute twin factor, but Dante is definately all boy and Nova looks all sweet and feminine!

Think I did same Moses basket for the first couple of weeks, then seperate in the hope that they wouldn't disturb each other. Same travel cot for a while when we went away tho.

Bye for a week if I don't get chance to post again!

inamerrymuckingfuddle · 03/01/2008 12:10

wahey we have snow DTs (and DH!) are so excited, will post some pics in a min

Surfnicky · 03/01/2008 12:53

Thanks Marslady - I think I DO need to trust my instincts more. I also need to stop reading so much on the internet about sleep times, etc - except for MN of course!!

I'll try the cradle hold - for some variation for me, if nothing else!!

Mommalove - yes, I think they are within a week of each other. Mine are just approaching 19 weeks now - although look a little smaller than your gorgeous two (mine are around 11lbs now) - you must have gold top milk!

They've just gone down for another nap without fuss (hence my ability to post!) after one hour and 15 mins of being awake - so I just think I have sleepy babies. I know I really shouldn't complain .

Ooh snow Mucking Fuddle - how exciting!! Where do you live? Any chance of sending some down to Surrey?? I LOVE snow.

inamuckingfuddle · 03/01/2008 13:32

sorry surfnicky, am in Durham, it may get to you, but DTs seem to want to keep it here!

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 03/01/2008 13:43

No time to read, hope everyone is well. Happy New Year from Miami!!

Now off to the KEys, but it is bloody freezing.

tkband3 · 03/01/2008 14:10

OK, I give up . I've spent ages and ages trying to post some pictures on my profile and have only managed to get 2 up. When I try to post any others, it just seems to freeze - I have made them smaller, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. So I will try again later when I've calmed down and am not about to throw the mac across the room! In the meantime, 2 pics of DD1 are on my profile .

HM - you're back! How are you? Hope you had a lovely Xmas etc .

have to go, everyone stripping off and it's freezing here.

pootlesmum · 03/01/2008 16:11

Hello
I've found you ! I am expecting identical twins due on 2nd April but I think they will be here much sooner than that. We already have a dd who was 4 in Sept so big sister is ready and waiting. Its good to find so many other twins mums, I don't know any in real life so hope you don't mind if I ask lots of questions over the next few months.

Some days I feel a little bit tired but generally I'm absolutely fine. More breathless than usual though but thats ok because it gives me the excuse to sit down and relax without anyone being able to call me lazy.

Went on maternity leave as of Christmas Eve so am now a lady of leisure for a little while at least.
