Hi all,
Hope everyone ok, tried to leave a message yesterday and keyboard wouldn't work! Then when DH got up he sorted then promptly sat on it all day lol
Mars thanx for the info I shall have a read up on footling births today, lol yeh it would've been nice to have someone from MN for the birth.
Leo thats wot I'm hoping that twin a will turn or twin b pushes first lol fingers crossed
Wow I got my bag almost done finally

Leoloopydoo · 17/01/2008 08:59

Hi Mars, I'll email you, not because I don't want to reveal the dts birthday (its 20thFeb)but I would love to have an offline chat anyway!

....Ooogs, nights are hit and miss, this morning i was woken at 5.45 and thought what a great night ds1 stayed in his bed and I haven't got up at all until now... but I was so tired that I slept through their crying, dh said he got up once for each baby (not bad but nothing to celebrate). They've been ill recently though and one night i was up every hour until about 3am.
I'll have a look at my profile, I keep meaning to put up some new photos but never get around to it!!!
They have been up on their feet and pushing furniture around for a long time now but I think it will be a long time still before they will be walking.
They climb on anything they can, they manage to get up onto things you could never imagine would be possible and they love the stairs. And yours?

Leoloopydoo · 17/01/2008 09:01

Fingers crossed Kat! Fantastic that your hospital will let you have a footling birth, seems that some hospitals automatically book you in for a CS as soon as they find you are carrying twins.

Chopster · 17/01/2008 09:10

triplets, your surprise sounds great, hope Harry likes it. Poor Rebecca! Hope she is better now.

Yeah, come on, spill! Stop teasing us, fg.

Mommalove, what will happen when they go on solids? Are they likely to still be intolerant to the foods you have been cutting out?

MarsLady · 17/01/2008 10:02

Choppy... you are required here

largeginandtonic · 17/01/2008 10:17

Triplets you have a little rascal on your hands there!!! Poor Rebecca. The surprise sounds fab, a holiday together sounds like an excellent idea.

Momma i have managed to go 1 year 6 months with no period. Course i'm paying for it now and am still bleeding after 8 days Hey ho.

The twins are killing me at the moment, with laughter. I find them so funny, they have moved on to the next stage (the one right before teenage nightmare i'm guessing) and are just lovely. I cant believe i used to be so stressed with them, i really thought the nightmare would never end! So for all those struggling with their little Tornadoes have hope

Egg · 17/01/2008 10:21

Leo your DTs have same bday as my DS , and my nephew too. Tis a great day.

Feeding time at zoo now, so back later but all going well, I know it will get worse but it's good so far . Did I mention there are a few pics on my profile, sorry if i did, I think I delivered my brain with the placentas .

Chopster · 17/01/2008 10:41

largeginandtonic · 17/01/2008 10:44

Morning everyone Haven't been on for aggeesssss...been so busy. Popped on to ask a couple of questions and now can't get off!

How is everyone??

We are all well here. Got 1 twin potty trained, the other is using every imaginable excuse for not going on the potty or toilet. But there you go.....

The other twins (6) have suddenly found their twin bond and won;t leave each others side, sleep in the same bed etc....
They have been caught at school for the more 'dominant' twin doing All of the other twins writing.....but it's ok as now they have been caught they have found a friend to do it instead....

hmmmmm I wonder if my 'twin life' is suddenly going to get a lot harder in the coming school years?!?!?!

Ta-ra for now

Aaargh! Got into a weird feeding pattern with Levi. Before Christmas, he was feeding roughly every 3 hours which was okay but I wasn't get much else done (and not trying too hard either, jsut enjoying baby time). Then came Christmas, New Year and holiday, so because we weren't getting up at a set time, and we were spending lots of time in the car, I just fed on demand and it was fine.

But now that we're back I wanted to edge him into a four-hour routine so I can start to make sense of this bombsite we affectionately call a house. But he has gone totally the other way and stopped having proper feeds altogether. He'll have two or three oz, then I spend the next hour trying to get him to have more, which he refuses. Then half an hour after I stop trying, he'll be screaming for more! Don't know what to do - I can't just feed him every two hours!

estar · 17/01/2008 11:05

Ooo, hi fairies

Nice to hear from you again - especially as you're the only one LG&T can look up to. The rest of us are pitifully behind you two.

Only just spied the muffins and bakewells too. I really must refresh the page more often.

accordiongirl · 17/01/2008 12:38

Thanks Mars, sounds like some great ideas. Would love to find out more but erm... can't work out how to email from this page.

Besos to all and the little people, especially the ones in plays, the running-away ones and the gritty-teeth ones.

Oh, and speaking of school plays DP still calls my tights (when it's his turn to do the folding up) "fairy trousers" cos of being made to wear them in school plays

HarrogateMum · 17/01/2008 12:50

Thank you to everyone who gave me advice re DT1's behaviour! I think you are right, he probably just needs more babying than DT2, I have got so used to him being all independent (I want to wash up, I want to unpack the shopping - be my guest!!!) that its easy to forget that DT1 is not in the same place!

FG - I have been here, just staying quiet-ish! As you know, life is very hectic/up and down at the moment! Although I am sure that that can probably be said for most people!

Hello to everyone

Hello everyone

Have had a lovely morning at Brent Cross on my own, buying my wedding dress!!!! I was going to link you into a picture of it (apart from wanting to show you all, I need some advice on shoes etc) but it's not on the coast website at the moment. Maybe it's just too new . I'll keep an eye out and link it in when it appears.

Egg, your babies are just beautiful - Rebecca already has more hair than my DTs!!!

Momma, you have educated me in gluten-free cooking . I always assumed that buckwheat flour had gluten in it so am pleased to see there's another ingredient I can use for DD1. How do you make gluten-free pastry? DD1 loves sausage rolls and wants to try quiche - I've had a few attempts but the pastry always turns out a bit crumbly, although my last attempt was much more successful .

Leoloopydoo · 17/01/2008 13:35

BLW????
Momma, when readign your posts i am sighing with relief that none of my babies suffer with food allergies. Sounds as if you are actually having great fun cooking new things and inventing new foods though.... how do you find the time?????

Estar, strange these babies aren't they! did you try to increse to 4 hours too quickly? can you try to go back to 3 hours and start again. I fed the dts every 3 hours up until the got well established on solids.

Its our wedding anniversary today, I met dh for lunch and he gave me 3 red roses , they are staning in a bottle on the windowsill by my desk

estar · 17/01/2008 14:28

HM, forgot to say that your dts sound so much like mine! dt1 rabbits on and on and on, and wants attention in the normal toddler way of wanting to be involved, asking loads of questions, or throwing stroppy tantrums - and dt2 is a complete mystery to me. All the usual ways and means of getting a small person's attention, he seems immune to, he doesn't want to talk much or make eye contact (although he has finally started improving with both), for ages he shunned one-on-one time, like it was too in-his-face and he just wanted his own space all the time. The next thing he'd be doing wierd things like emptying tubes of toothpaste around the bathroom and sabotaging my makeup, which I couldn't work out because I'd been trying to give him attention all day!!! I actually spent ages on the internet looking to see if he had symptoms of 'something' - ADHD, autism, lots of stuff. But he doesn't fit into any of the categories I've seen, and now in the last few weeks, he seems to be more 'normal' in his behaviour. He is behind, especially with his speech, but he seems to have calmed down and been more friendly again.

Anyway - not much advice other than persistance and trying to engage him in stuff that he's interested in (if you can work out what that is), but as usual on here, just letting you know that you're not alone!

frumpygrumpy · 17/01/2008 15:25

jeez, you pop out for a wee and all the seats get taken! Never mind, I prefer the bed floor.

Triplets, after my length post yesterday I meant to post and apologise for sounding so bloody annoying. Meant well but it came across not quite the way I intended. Sorry to hear about Rebecca, nasty fright. Does Harry ever do stuff on his own, with a single child? Like take the boys, or a boy, to watch football or to the pictures? I love the sound of the holiday gift!!

TKB, can't wait to see the wedding dress! Of course, we won't tell anyone

frumpygrumpy · 17/01/2008 16:10

And HM, remember there is always a recliner with a cashmere throw on it for you on this thread. Don't stay away too long. We need you to pressure everyone into a Harrogate meet up and to make us all drool with your dinner menus. Mind you, I don't know why I am speaking to you, its your fault the whole thread thinks I live in a damn castle. I mean, I am a city dweller, there is only one castle in Edinburgh and thats hermajesty's castle.

frumpygrumpy · 17/01/2008 16:11

Momma, last week you said you had looked at a nursery. Does that mean you're going back to work?

HM, how's work?
