You could use chocolate pennies

MarsLady · 09/01/2008 21:44

Now that's not a bad idea!

Found some mulled wine (Not just any mulled wine but ...M&S Mulled Wine)

inamuckingfuddle · 09/01/2008 21:47

Goog morning ladies, yes note the time, its gone midnight and I just come in, been to friends for heart to heart and a glass of wine, well two! Suddenly that sounds hypocritical after my recent postings, but its my first glass of red since before Christmas, truly. Must go to bed, hope you all are well and bug free and all those sweet babies are snuggled up asleep! Momma hows your little knight? Gace the other set to a little cheeky lad and school, he`s 7, his face was a picture, "oh Anne, cool!"

triplets · 10/01/2008 00:28

omg.............good not goog, I am sober!

tripletsandtwins · 10/01/2008 00:37

Hi all!

Sorry for not posting in ages I've been a bit busy ! Lots of things have been going on over here!

D2 are gorgeous still! I can't believe they'll be 3 weeks on Friday! Time has just flown by! I still can't quite believe I have 5 children though, it's really quite surreal.

I keep thinking I've misplaced a baby though; has anyone on here who had twins and then a singleton felt this? ... Or maybe it's just me...

I've been fiddling with a screencapture thing today, because I decided that some of the things that we had on dvd were desperate to be captured, so I downloaded a program, spent a while setting it up, then I fiddled trying to get the right picture at the exact second... got it just right, and after I had finished, feeling all smug because I'm normally a computer idiot, I looked at the pictures and saw they had a red stamp in the middle of them because I was just trialing the program and hadn't bought it ! What a waste of time!

Mommalove, that's ridiculous! I was told that I hadn't a hope in hell of bfing the triplets, but I did. I really wish that doctors wouldn't be so negative... it's not productive.

T&T How's the feeding going? You sound like you're doing well. I had my singleton's first and so always had the opposite feeling, that'd I'd gained a child!

Momma......... of course I'll help you. What a wonderful thing to do. Breastpump: Ameda Lactaline Dual. Fab!!!!!!!! Electric, small, good!!!!!!!!!!

Am off walking this morning. I used to walk with my friend and we haven't done it for ages... so we're going to try and do it one morning a week (well her plan is twice a week but I'm too busy).

Now to wake and feed the DTs so that we can leave on time (if they would sleep on time this wouldn't be an issue! Grrrrrrrrrr)

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 10/01/2008 09:04

Quietly creeps in and places a key lime pie on the table and a jug of coffee.

I'm Baack!!!

And not a moment too soon. The weather did pick up, thank you and it was mostly around 23-5c, so not bad at all really.

I did discover that dp's family are a lot easier to cope with in smaller doses! The holiday wasn't anything like we had all planned really. It was supposed to be all about the kids, but they got tired of them by about two hours into the flight there, and only came to one park with us - they spent most of two weeks either shopping or sulking. So we only managed to do three parks, but the kids loved it and I got to see Miami and the keys, which is what I really wanted to do there.

American food is diabolical!! Everywhere you look is bloody fast food - if I ever have to eat another taco bell, I will scream! I must be the only person ever who has gone to america and lost weight - I just skipped so many meals. I've been up this morning meal planning, for home cooked food again!

The kids should be in school but are all asleep in bed. It took us pretty much 24 hours door to door to get home (flew via Montreal) so they are absolutely shattered, even tho they went to bed at 5 yesterday, poor buggers.

Been trying to catch up on the thread, but you lot waffle so much are so communicative! Egg, hope those babies hatch of their own accord soon. Triplets, sorry to hear about H, really hope things get sorted out for you with the next appointment. Agree with what FG said.

And hugs to everyone, missed you all!

TripleyTigger · 10/01/2008 09:24

Yeah!!!! Welcome back Chops!!!!

Mars, been trying to rack my brains on what I did to settle my three(seems so long ago) and remembered the 'inch away' thing I used to do.

I know you sit on the stairs(can't tell you how many times I nodded off there myself),have you sat in the room by the door and totally ignored them? Take a book in so that they can see you are busy and leave the door open. Once they have(hopefully)started to fall asleep like that, every night just move over an inch, until you are outside the room. I know it takes a while(and you are a very busy lady)but it worked for me.

Failing that, a big chain and a gag might come in useful

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 10/01/2008 09:31

jsut seen the post about dt1, I'm impressed! More stubborn than mars?!

Mine love money, even though at 2, they don't really have any comprehension of the value. They colelct money and put it in their piggy banks. They even smashed up my big (plastic) bottle of coppers so they could get that out for their piggy banks!

Then one day, I let shay take £1 to the supermarket, thinking he could get a litle car or some sweets. He picked up a £10 lazy town toy. I told him it was too expensive, but he pulled his £1 out saying, 'look, got money'!

I didn't have the heart to argue with him in the end, so he got his toy - but he isn't taking money out again!

fryalot · 10/01/2008 10:19

um... excuse me, can I make a teensy bit of an announcement... don't all get too excited, but I have had a text from egg and she thinks she is in labour. She is on the way to the hospital as you read this.

I shall keep you posted as soon as I hear anything
