Kelly, should be with you tomorrow

Congratulations Egg!! How fab! Wonder when we should do a tally on how many sets of twins have popped out on this thread, or just babies in general, or shall we scare ourselves and tally how many children we have between us

Hoping they are all swaddled up as a giant omelette and remain that way for days

Terrible news for my diet/onthewagon plans though .........

frumpygrumpy · 10/01/2008 15:20

Hi triplets, I need to go and breakup a fight......

triplets · 10/01/2008 15:21

Oh Frumpy...............what?

frumpygrumpy · 10/01/2008 15:25

Only DTs

One is in quarantine. DT1 is hard work, she is short on SLEEP. Needs to learn "beds are for sleeping in". She has this annoying habit (like my DD1 had) of going off to sleep and then is up and down like a yoyo from midnight onwards. I am trying to get to bed around 10pm to make up for it but its not working ......zzzzzzz.

MarsLady · 10/01/2008 16:04

yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I prayed for a natural labour and not induction. How FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love and kisses to her.

Was her doula with her? (No not me!)

MarsLady · 10/01/2008 16:05

Squonk.... email me for my mobi number so that she can call/text any bfing queries. Tell her not to let anyone top them up! Whoopeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So excited!

MarsLady · 10/01/2008 16:07

Hi Chops! Sorry.... couldn't see you through the baby news!

What a wonderful day

fryalot · 10/01/2008 16:18

Mars - have emailed you

Egg was asking about mimime... I said I would let her know if there is any news, so I'll be lurking on this thread for a while - hope you don't mind

MarsLady · 10/01/2008 16:26

You lurk away darling. When you bring news like that you're practically family!

fryalot · 10/01/2008 16:37

Mars - have forwarded your email to egg. My texting thumb is now very numb. There doesn't appear to be a cut & paste from computer to mobile phone function

Anyway, she now has everything you said, and your mobile.

Am off to rest my blardy fingers now

MarsLady · 10/01/2008 16:54

Thank you! I know it's hard when you're 57!

tkband3 · 10/01/2008 17:15

Wonderful news. Well done to Egg and welcome to Rebecca and Jacob (and thanks to Squonk for passing on the news) .

Chopster - welcome back! Glad the weather warmed up for you a bit .

eggactly what booze did she have last night? Seems to have done the trick!

inamuckingfuddle · 10/01/2008 17:58

well done egg and your (dare I say it?) mini eggs!

FG I'm trying to switch to G&T from wine as I reckon I'll drink less therefore lose weight notice I can't quite face actually not drinking

tripletsandtwins · 10/01/2008 18:20

Woo! Well done egg !!!!!!!! Welcome Rebecca and Jacob HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

Mars, feeding is going ok, not great, but ok. I'm exclusively breastfeeding now - that's one of the reasons why I've not been on because dh and i have been spending a long time trying to get it sorted. They've been diagnosed with reflux, but since we saw the osteopath, everything's improved.

Welcome back chopster

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 10/01/2008 19:20

YEYYY!! Congratulations to egg, and welcome to Rebecca and Jacob. I'm so pleased for you that you got the natural delivery and I think it was very sweet of you to wait until I was back before popping

I've jsut opened a bottle of wine. Don't even mention diets! I have some making up to do after missing proper food so much in america. I've been shopping and now have a VERY fully stocked fridge.
I did buy a rather tight pair of jeans in america I'm planning to slim into, but they are safely hidden in the wardrobe for now.

fryalot · 10/01/2008 19:48

ladies, please can I ask your advice: A few of us are planning on buying egg some flowers, maybe one of those baskets with flowers and teddies... Can find IT'S A GIRL teddies, can find IT'S A BOY teddies, but can't find any that offer either two teddies, or a balloon or something that says IT'S TWINS.

Now, none of us will be able to actually get to the hospital, if we could, we could just buy another teddy and add it to the original basket, so it has to be done on-line to be delivered. Do any of you know of a site where we can buy one lot of flowers with either a twins theme, or two teddies. Or even two balloons would do - we can't seem to find anywhere that doesn't offer one or the other. Can anyone advise?

inamuckingfuddle · 10/01/2008 19:52

hi squonk not sure about flowers but would this be any good? Will keep looking...

fryalot · 10/01/2008 19:57

that is nice, ima

while I was here asking for advice, my mate fred was trawling t'internet and she found these which go with flowers.

Thank you

inamuckingfuddle · 10/01/2008 19:58

or here

inamuckingfuddle · 10/01/2008 19:59

oh cute I always wanted one of each, am not looking forward to twin teenage girls

fryalot · 10/01/2008 20:02

thank you very much we will certainly have a lot of fun looking at all those yummy baby things and deciding what to actually get her.

And speaking as one who has one teenage girl, my advice to you would be:

on the eve of their twelfth birthday (for it is then when the teenage years start, regardless of actual age)...

emigrate

oooggs · 10/01/2008 20:03

EGG - well done you and a huge welcome to your delightful new babies

thank you squonk

t&t - well done on feeding

welcome back kelly

devondoris · 10/01/2008 21:45

Oooh, ooh, ooh! How exciting! Well done, Egg! Great news about the natural delivery too - that's sooo fab!!!!! Enjoy the bfing too - it's so cool once it gets sorted. BTW, Squonk, a really cool present is a proper twin bfing cushion! If it's not too late or too expensive! I had one and it made life sooo much easier.

Momma - I've just looked at your kidlets and they're sooo gorgeous! The babies are just so chubbly and yummy! And such a smile on the armoured one!

Nice to see you back, Chopster, and even better to have worked out who you are!! I missed your name change and it's taken a while!

I'm going to bed now. I've been working through the filing system for the boys playgroup which I've foolishly become secretary of, and I'm exhausted. There seems to be a lot of correspondence missing - everything from 2004 for instance. Odd.

Also have the beginnings of a howler I think, plus sandwiches, etc, to do. Yup, there he goes! ... Amazing what a dummy can do.

DD started French today at after school club and came home saying Oh-vwah. Very cute!
