pixi wow. I took money out and ours weren't even collecting! It was just to sing and enjoying joinging them if you wanted to trudge round the rest of the route! I drew the line there. I feel I saved many people by not singing

Sorry to hear about your night.

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 19/12/2007 19:21

Can't stand that shops are now bursting with sale stuff. Can't we enjoy christmas first?

TripLetItSnowAndTwins · 19/12/2007 19:39

Hi everyone, still pregnant here!

I'm despairing that these dts will ever be born! They're measuring at just under 6lbs each on the ultrasound though, which is good ! Blood tests have shown that my iron levels are dangerously low though - considering how close I am to delivery, so I am taking a double dose of the Ferrograd C tablets to try and boost it, which I think is helping!

I will catch up, but I wanted to post quickly in case the internet goes down again - it's very iffy and doesn't like me at the moment !

jingleoooggs · 19/12/2007 19:45

hi all - the facebook thing eludes me!!!!!! I can't remember who is who - soooooooooo if anyone has complied a list of the multiple mums rl and mn names I would love a copy - oooggs @ hotmail. co .uk (without the spaces!!) tia

PazzaPlusTwo · 19/12/2007 19:52

Ooh it's so exciting all you ladies about to drop!

Hi Mars I am very well thanks for asking! 18 weeks today, smuggling a football under my jumper and feeling a few tickles (are they ... aren't they?...) Have gone down to 4 days a week working which is just what I needed.

I'm off on a big Sleazyjet-Euro-trip on Sat to see parents & granny in Switz, then in-laws and DH's friends in Germany, while scoffing as much chocolate and bratwurst as possible along the way. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

[I offset my CO2 on the flights but still feeling a bit guilty about burning up the planet before the munchkins are even out ]

T&T I hope you're eating iron rich foods. That's what you need. One of the reasons it's important to have good iron levels is that breastmilk is made from your blood. So... eat iron rich foods. Green leafy veg, red meat, tofu, kidney beans, strawberries etc. Don't make me come there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ta Momma. Incidentally... my client said thank you. She's over the moon with the recipes you sent and is actually looking forward to making (or me making) some of them.

Enjoy your hols Pazz!

HM... are you lurking? Don't you dare vanish off!

Pixi... are you home on Saturday? DS1 needs to go to the DB Academy and so I thought I'd actually pass by!

...

devondoris · 20/12/2007 00:52

Don't forget that your iron levels are supposed to be lower in pregnancy than in normal life! There's stuff on the the radical midwives site about iron levels and what's good and what isn't, and about checking the MCV number which is a better indicator of actual Hb in your blood. Can't remember it all properly, but I know it's there because it was one of the bits of paper that I waved at my obs when I was expecting the boys and they wanted to scare me with special twin things! Also if you're really iron deficient, get yourself to a decent health food shop and get some tonic. There's Spatone and the other one in an orange packet, which you can double dose on if you need to (midwife approved practice!).

I'm going to try to link you to the RadMids ... here

Hope it helps.

I must go to bed. I've just spent an hour catching up and can't believe how quickly it all moves. Hurray - there's no school tomorrow so I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn unless the twinlets decide they're really ill, not just a bit snotty and disgusting.

DT1 has begun lobbing bricks at the Christmas tree, btw, which is in the playpen along with christmas presents and lumps of coal ...

devondoris · 20/12/2007 00:55

Forgot to say, the iron tonics are much more gentle on your body than the doc's tablets. Less constipation because the iron's a more accessible form and therefore it doesn't gallop through your system and bung everything up because half of it isn't used. Rant over

Bed! I can no longer type! But I'm very proud that I did a real, proper link.

Egg · 20/12/2007 14:36

Hi girls. Hope everyone is well. Been to DS's nursery party this morning which was great. He loved it. He ate a lot of very naughty food. I piled his plate high and then ate a lot of it myself .

So it is ok to take Spatone / Floradix etc when pregnant. I am not anaemic, although always always tired. Don't think I am even borderline anaemic (which surprises me as my diet is appalling). Have not taken any supplements apart from prenatal vit as presumed I shouldn't, don't want to end up constipated...

T&T, I feel for you. I am fed up and you are a few weeks ahead of me AND not allowed to do much AND have three children not just one to look after.

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 20/12/2007 15:15

Right. Who feels challenged? Can we make Christmas Thursday instead of Tuesday?

Egg · 20/12/2007 15:23

Ugh no I just want to get it over with...

Actually, looking forward to Christmas (my family here) but dreading New Year (DH's family here). Hence hoping for labour on New Years Eve day please, although saying that, I don't want babies born until 2008, and I don't want a long labour, and MIL etc are coming on 30th I think, so I guess I will just have to have a migraine instead and stay in bed while she is here.

I love Tunnocks , but prefer the caramel wafers over the teacakes if I had to choose. Teacakes still lovely mind you...

Isawthreetripscomesailingby · 20/12/2007 16:48

Good afternoon all,
First day of the hols and I havent had to raise my voice once yet! Mind you the bedtime battle is to come! Almost caught up with myself, really cant believe another year has almost gone, it just flies by! Having a quiet 5 mins as boys anf DH gone to the hairdresser and Becca watching so awful American rubbish on tv, normally Id ban it but too tired and just want no rows! Dreaming of M&S choc nuts Im bound to have for Christmas Oh btw, anyone got Nigellas recipe for choc fudge with pistachios?

Isawthreetripscomesailingby · 20/12/2007 16:50

Thurs fine with me FG

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 20/12/2007 17:49

Nooo, xmas is sat in this house! THIS sat. I'm all done, no more shopping for me til the new year now.

#'So heeereee, it isss MERRY CHRISTMAS, everybody's having fun!'#

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 20/12/2007 18:23

Aw Kelly, I'm hoping for that feeling sooooooon......only 2 more sleeps for you

I just did a stupid, stupid thing and didn't pre-book my online grocery shopping (I have a delivery every Friday without fail). Now I can't get a pre-Christmas delivery which means that on top of cleaning the house from top to bottom (not easy when you own a mahoosive castle ), changing all the beds, wrapping everything I have, clearing out the spare room for guests (currently not a single piece of floor space to be seen) and making one batch of tablet, two batches of soup and finishing off the Christmas shopping with DD1 in tow, I now have to fit in a shop. OH F***. And that was just tomorrow's list.

I am going to pour a stronger G&T and breathe in and out.

Why do I do it to myself? Why do I set my standards unattainably high? Why am I surprised I can't achieve them? When will I learn?

[stupid bloody cow] [get counselling you daft mare]

Arse.
