'Scuse me, gruesome - I think that title is mine

This term I have forgotten non-uniform day twice (first time I spotted other children walking to school and managed to swing the car back home for a quick change, second time I had to drop him off then return with his clothes), regularly forgotten to put his homework in his bag every Monday morning, and this morning, I sent him to school with a packed lunch when I'd already booked and payed for a Christmas lunch.

When he got home I asked him which one he'd eaten and he said both

estarofbethlehem · 14/12/2007 17:15

And fuddle, that sounds like a fantastic way to celebrate the anniversary of your dts birth. You earned it - just think about what you were doing this time four years ago.......

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/12/2007 17:42

agree with mars fuddle - that sounds fantastic! Happy birthday to your dts.

@ estar.
I am relieved I'm not the only one that keeps getting it all wrong though!

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 14/12/2007 18:11

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/12/2007 19:38

mars, get your butt back here now!

gruesomefoursome · 14/12/2007 20:08

God do i have to glue my bloody darling children into their beds cos not one of them is doing as they are told and getting into it.

Never mind the wine mars nice as it is i'm cracking open the brandy i need a stiff one tonight. oooops just realised what i said thats what got me into trouble in the first place

Had to go for MRI to see if any of the pain that i am experiencing was due to any neurological damage in my brain but as i said they couldnt find one so its impossible to tell really

gruesomefoursome · 14/12/2007 20:13

Hey ester at least you havent done what i did, i sent both of my twin boys dressed as pirates when rest of school were in uniform, i wanted to die!!!!!

I always forget homework, the teachers have now started to remind me of what needs to be done and sent back on a morning and also jot down notes for me. If my head wasnt attatched to my shoulders i think i would forget that too.

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/12/2007 20:29

are we really supposed to remember homework though?

It jsut gets crazy really, I have enough to do with concetrating on the younger ones wihtout worrying about what homework dd has to do. And not that it makes any difference in any case - I reminded her every day last week and she still forgpt and ended up in detention on fri.

SantasUnderGodzillasBumcheek · 14/12/2007 20:34

(Hello everybody, long time no see!)

Homework? Shucks i knew there was something the dtds were supposed to do besides loaf around and argue

SantasUnderGodzillasBumcheek · 14/12/2007 20:34

SORRY, i obviously meant

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/12/2007 20:53

lol, who the hell are you

SantasUnderGodzillasBumcheek · 14/12/2007 20:57

Roving mother of twin wood-nymphs, me

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/12/2007 20:58

wood nymphs? Lucky you - mine are more water nymphs, they never stay still!

SantasUnderGodzillasBumcheek · 14/12/2007 21:09

Lol...that'd be more like dd3!
They were wood nymphs in their Christmas play, that was all i meant - they always get the parts where there are at least two of the same 'character' (last year they were narrators), and have pretty costumes rather than being, for example, a tree! I would call favoritism but the parts they play are never main ones.

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/12/2007 21:11

lol. I suspected favouritism when ds1 got the lead part last year. And I was dreading it! He has sn, and was cast as Joseph, but thankfully his jospeh was a non speaking part.

SantasUnderGodzillasBumcheek · 14/12/2007 21:20

Unless he gets star treatment every year, i wouldn't be too fussed really! Everyone should get the chance for a main part once or twice - provided they can cope with it anyway.

I got offered a main part in juniour school once, but turned it down as i was too shy to do it!
