Oooggs - 4 tomorrow! Such a big boy already . Are you doing anything special tomorrow? That reminds me, how did the party go? Did it end up being a two-way or a three-way one?

Egg · 10/12/2007 20:01

Oh T&T, is nausea a sign that something might be happening? I know a lot of people are sick or feel sick when labour is imminent? Poor you with a sickly DS as well.

Must admit, didn't look at your name properly and thought it was triplets, and then when I read "still pregnant" I thought i had missed a very shock announcement .

gruesomefoursome · 10/12/2007 20:02

Hey Meely. At least you only puked on yourself, i've thrown up over someone else a fair few times including when i was in labour with the twins and threw over this poor guy in the hospital car park even bigger blush.

Welcome bread, i'm fairly new on here two but seem to be as mad sane as everyone else xxxxx

jingleoooggs · 10/12/2007 20:02

egg - yes I agree with wanting isofix, when dts go into next car seats they will be the Britax isofix duo, ds is in the Maxi Cosi Rodi XP as we also only have 2 isofix points in the back.

Now if someone were to buy me the new C4 Picasso with 3 isofix points in the back and lots of other nice things I would be eternally grateful

doublekissesdoublexmaswishes · 10/12/2007 20:02

I saw a thread on here where someone was raving about the bebe confort twin... Don't know anything about them but may be worth looking into as I believe they have car seats that can be attached. I did a quick google and I must say I quite like them!! Anyway, dts tucked up nicely in bed and I have a mound of ironing to do so I'm gonna love you and leave you tonight.

doublekissesdoublexmaswishes · 10/12/2007 20:05

Oh T&T, I've been nudging you on fb to play your turn! Got totally confused with rl names and mn names and totally didn't realise it was you!!

Ignore me completely... Sending lots of "feel better" vibes your way

Egg · 10/12/2007 20:07

Or there is the icandy pear that Mars mentioned a few months back. It was due for release end of Nov, but I didn't want to wait that long to be able to see it, and then have to wait weeks for it to be in stock etc. It is a tandem not side by side, and takes maxi cosi car seats as well as carrycots. Looks fab, although the lady in the baby shop near me said she has played with it at some trade fair and found it v fiddly.

doublekissesdoublexmaswishes · 10/12/2007 20:12

Oh yeah Egg, I heard that was a good one!!

right I really must go now!!

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 10/12/2007 21:18

I'm not sure just how tall I am. I used to be 5ft 5" (Mars has a half on me and I ain't talking Guiness) but I could be 5ft 4". Ach, whats an inch or two between friends [innocent]

HM, guide me to the photos of the Christmas bash please!!

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 10/12/2007 21:19

I'm not here. I'm still cooking. And making a voucher for my mum's birthday tomorrow. And bagging up outfits for the DTs parts in their nursery Christmas play. And.........stuff.

MarsyChristmas · 10/12/2007 22:00

hi Bread. I remember your fleeting glimpse through the door about 18 threads ago wasn't it?

I love the fact that this thread is so full and that newbies pop in all the time.

I may have to find my DT questionnaire and ask the newbies if they'd mind filling it in for me. So far all I've heard about antenatal classes about twins is that they really emphasis caesarean birth Well I'll talk about it as much as I do in my singleton ans but I think people need to know how to birth twins vaginally as well and to know that it is possible.

Trying to get my cards sorted and in the post! If it comes off there will be angels singing in the sky!

Need to find time to do my Christmas shopping. I'm normally done by the end of November but Jamaica took away my window of opportunity!

devondoris · 10/12/2007 22:18

You are so right! And allowing people to birth the way they want to without telling them they might all die! Like you don't realise that anyway! Grr, doctors...

Mars, I've just been to my first salsa weekend and it was sooooo fantastic!!!! I'm exhausted but still on the high! And I've discovered bachata!! Love it!!!! Can't stop singing, "I see you winding and grinding up on your pole ... " ... I don't think I've had so much fun for about 5 years. Only slight marring fact is my bank balance...!

Which reminds me that I must do some invoicing; might be back later.

Doris!!!!!!!!!!!!! You go girl! I love Bachata. If you search my thread in other subjects DaddyJ* we've put YouTube links to lots of bachata and other salsa.

Did you do the congress? Where were you?

devondoris · 10/12/2007 23:31

I was at Brean Sands which I thought was near Weston S Mare, only to find it was closer to Burnham on Sea... but it was great to stop off at the pub on the way to ask for directions and have a drink... I shall get searching for those links, but not tonight as I got to bed at 2 ish last night, and I am soooooo tired! Just been invoicing having realised that my bank balance isn't going to get me through this week. Eek!

I did some styling on Sunday too, which involved leaps in the air! Quite scary and I'm not sure I'm quite ready to do them on the dance floor just yet. Oh but it was lovely. Great bachata teachers too; I couldn't stop laughing, which isn't quite the thing to be doing when you're supposed to be looking tremendously full of passion!

Those mince pies must be healthy - they don't have anything in them!

OK, OK, couldn't resist a quick listen to a couple of bachata songs ... dreamy, dreamy ... I must go to beeeeeedddddd.

Thank you, Momma ... I can't get enough of listening to it all. And I've got my class tomorrow night, so I'll be doing it all over again. Hurrah!! Still not sure about the leaps though. Just not convinced that a 6 foot ex-rugby player should be doing them ... unless in a line out of course! But perhaps that's cos I was learning the leaps in a room of beautiful 5 foot 6 lovelies...

I've managed to discourage the smaller of the men in my class (who account for about 75%) not to do sideways dips and any drops with me, by asking them if they'd do it to a 14 stone, 6 foot rugby player, and when they say no, probably not, I can safely say, well don't do it to me then!

Must go make sandwiches and snacks and stuff for DD to take to school. Also need to get porridge ready.

devondoris · 10/12/2007 23:55

Pixi - am I being a bit thick or did I get the impression that you're pregnant? Not sure whether to believe what I read. And when are you coming to Devon?

MarsyChristmas · 10/12/2007 23:57

forget the leaps babe! lol

What you need to do now is CUBAN salsa!

We almost went to Brean Sands. You must come to Pakefield (Nr Gt Yarmouth) in the summer!

Thanks Momma though you do know that I'm a drunkard teetotaller don't you?

MarsyChristmas · 10/12/2007 23:58

Pixi is pregnant with no.5

devondoris · 11/12/2007 00:22

Oh, I love Cuban! I think that's what I started learning at the Loughborough Hotel near Brixton a few (cough) years ago. We do a bit in our class and our teacher does La Rueda on Sundays occasionally, but I've not managed to get there yet. Only day DH has off at the moment. But I do like Cuban very much. Though not perhaps as much as I'm liking bachata at the moment.

  1. 5? Is she utterly insane????? She has twins under one. I haven't shagged for nearly two years because we're rather fecund, and just the thought of having more children seems to have put us off sex. Best contraceptive. When's the next one due? Is it only one??

Porridge, porridge, porridge.

devondoris · 11/12/2007 00:23

Just remembered that you're one of the mad ones too, with lots of lovely children.

devondoris · 11/12/2007 00:24

...

MarsyChristmas · 11/12/2007 08:12

Doris... sadly there is no (or only very little) Cuban at Pakefield but I think we should go (well I know that I'll be going).

If you email me your address to mammydoula at aol dot com I'll send you some lovely Cuban music!

largevirginbirthandtonic · 11/12/2007 08:26

PMSL with Doris
