Nah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loving it too much at the moment.

Those stereo moments with the DTs though..... they make me want to put the world on pause occasionally.

Had a fab night out dancing. Saw that IAMF filled the thread and didn't even start a new one

So here it is and if you don't like the title.... well it's almost 3 in the morning. What's a Mars to do?

cuba, CUBA, CUBA ????!!!!

Jeez, what does she think life is. A bloody party or something? Doesn't she know what time it is? Lets tell her she ain't going dressed like that! And other such insulting comments to make her feel teenage like etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

[innocuous grin]

inamuckingfuddle · 30/10/2007 19:06

CUBA???? Oh that's ok, I've never wanted to go there, no never...

welcome chuffed

we are about to sever childcaring ties with DH's parents DTs went there yesterday, with strict instructions to be cared for, looked after, allowed to rest, not carted around or taken out etc since they have been ill with chesty coughs since last thurs and are only just feeling better...so they got in tonight, cried to go to bed at 5.15, refused to eat any tea as too tired, having been taken out to the museum and for lunch today after their cousin stayed over last night with them when they all slept in one bed together with granny DT1 told me she had to wipe her nose as granny was too busy with the cousin, DT2 told me she wishes granny would come to our house instead (granny won't, she is 'more comfortabl' in her own house)

I'm not very happy about this - can you tell?! am hitting the merlot - anyone joining me? I have spicy nuts too

MarsLady · 30/10/2007 19:16

So I'm guessing none of you want presents then?

OP posts:
oooggs · 30/10/2007 19:21

inamuckfuddle - I would be furious hope they are ok, sleep well and are happier in the morning

MarsLady · 30/10/2007 19:23

IAMF....I'd also be furious and yes... I too would sever ties....well I'd certainly trim them right back with more rigid rules than imaginable!

Those poor babes and poor you who has to pick up and deal with the fallout!

DTs are booked in for f/t nursery from Jan, problem is my parents are due to have them for a couple of weekends before xmas and I don't want to let them down, so will either insist that PILs come here if they wat to look after them, or pay for ad-hoc extra days at nursery. I am convinced they think I am a psycho control freak mum who never lets them have any fun - however the cousin is a miserable whinger who never does as she's asked, doesn't eat meals (unless they are happy ones) whilst my DTs, for all their my faults, are polite, eat well and know where the boundaries are. I am so disappointed

Egg · 30/10/2007 19:32

I would be spitting mad if my MIL did that. To be honest it is just the kind of thing she might do as well. Let's just hope she comes down with the cold / flu now after sharing bed with them...

Mars, DS keeps unplugging our phone / internet, and switching off lamps, but thank god he can't reach the boiler. Oh, he opens the freezer just a teeny amount, so no-one notices quickly enough too .

FG, why just a bikini top. Are you going commando on the bottom half?

TrickORTripletEm · 30/10/2007 20:18

Hi Chopster!! Gym went great!! (big fat lie!!)

IMF: sounds like the sort of childcare my mum gives Don't let my little man have choccy, make sure he wears his coat, don't take him swimming when his asthmas bad...What do I get? He comes home bouncing off the walls, because aparently if chocolate is on a biscuit or in a cake it dosen't count!! He's run around without his coat and his hair smells of the swimming baths!! SO NOT ON!!!!!!

Hi to all, had a go on Facebook today.... and then deleted my page, some guy freaked me out!!so I'll play here where it is safe!!

piximonster · 30/10/2007 20:25

Estar MANY CONGRATULATIONS. What a lovely name you chose, can't wait to see pics. Hope you're all doing well. I don't know how I managed not to have posted about your wonderful news. Looking back, I'm sure a few of my posts have gone astray.

TKB I wrote a whole long post about how my wedding was postponed twice before we finally got there but I can't see that post either. Glad your day was better than you had hoped.

Ack it's my wedding anniversary tomorrow and I'm full of cold. Still DH managed to pull himself together, hid his eye patch and went to the shops to buy our pumpkin ready for carving.
Not doing any celebratory things this year, trying to save, so it'll be a card and home made pumpkin pie, just have to figure out the main course now.

Happy anniversary Pixi! Good morning all, I am an early bird, keep waking around 3-4am and cant get back to sleep ,really annoying, the tinnitus doesnt help much either! Never mind I am not complaining when I think of OJ and Steve. We are having a samll party here today, house dressed for the occasion, still got lots of Matthews bits he made for Halloween, I love hanging them up, fels as though he is here with me. Wish wish wish...........
Mars are you all going?
Yes........what time should we be at the airport, my bag is always half packed for just such an emergency Plenty of salsa dancing there I should think, how long will you be gone, how will we cope, who will think of the new thread title, ells bells! Right better start the packed lunches then off to Canterbury to start the Christmas shopping!

chopsterHeadsOffEverybody · 31/10/2007 07:46

aww fuddle, I hope you get it sorted out one way or another. My parents are the same too, I think it is a grandparent thing really. I told them that ds1 needs strict bedtimes because of his dyspraxia and I'd phone at bedtime and they'd be on their way out the door or just home and they hadn't had tea (which was chips all week!). I think sometimes you jsut have to grit your teeth, though I'd be fuming since they had been ill.

Happy wedding anniversary piximonster! (btw I really love your halloween name, you should keep it!)

Presents, mars? oh def. Can I come with you and choose though?

em, what happened on facebook?

chopsterHeadsOffEverybody · 31/10/2007 07:48

I've been a bad mummy, I haven't made anything yet for halloween. I don't think I'm going to neither! It's been a busy week and I'm feeling far too lazy tired!

TrickORTripletEm · 31/10/2007 09:42

Piximon,happy wedding aniversary!!

Morning Chopster!! Bag ready?

I'm back on facebook again!!!!!

Hello to all below!!
<Em>

chopsterHeadsOffEverybody · 31/10/2007 09:44

bag, what bag?

I'm on facebook, addicted to playing scrabble!

TrickORTripletEm · 31/10/2007 10:12

I,m just trying to work it all out!!
I have a little egg waiting to hatch!!!!

frumpygrumpy · 31/10/2007 10:13

dingdong, I'd be mad as hell too!!! (And the thought of them all in the one bed kind of churns my stomach. My MIL has ocassionally had my niece to stay over with her and they sleep together. The thought makes me want to be sick shudder.) I think it is going to suit you much better to have nursery f/t. Can you still slip in your own parents sometimes so that they don't miss out, from what I remember they were fine with the childcare I think. Hope your DTs settle again and that their colds and chests clear up.

Talking of chests, my DD1 said yesteday, in all seriousness, "mum, do you think I maybe need a bra with this top?". I kept a straight face and nonchalantly said "no, I don't think so darling". She is 6.

Triplets, I'm glad you have these special things of Matthews. He is still part of the family after all so its great he is there in the form of his decorations.

Right. Enough. I am knocking this house into shape today. I may be sometime

Egg, I'm packing in small doses so no one in this house notices

what SPF will I need? I'll buy us a couple of those handy towels you get from the inventions magazines. Y'know the ones, they have a ring of elastic at one end and you slip it over your head and you are effectively standing inside a towelling condom where you can change into your bikini on the beach without anyone seeing your hairy bits. (I personally would rather walk around with my hairy bits on show all day than suffer the embarassment of looking like such a knob in one of those towels)

Right, just a kaftan and some eyeliner left to pack.

frumpygrumpy · 31/10/2007 10:20

Jeez, this thread moved fast

D'y ever wonder if the girl in the next hospital bed just pushed her crib over to you in the night?

D'y ever wonder if your belly button is capable of returning to an inny instead of a burst mattress?

D'y ever wonder if you'll stop putting the milk in the cupboard and the teabags in the fridge?

D'y ever wonder if, when your hair looks good again, you'll be young enough to care?

D'y ever wonder how many children and adults can all fit into a double bed?

D'y ever wonder if tellies with push buttons will come back into fashion?

Someone tell me to go and clean the toilets.

TrickORTripletEm · 31/10/2007 10:44

Go and clean the toilets F.S!!!!

MarsLady · 31/10/2007 11:47

I think my fave of your list (of which there are many) is:

D'y ever wonder if the girl in the next hospital bed just pushed her crib over to you in the night?

lol!

But as I decided on the last one (lol) I think someone else should have a go. Oh and no point in a Christmassy themed one the speed we go at!

TrickORTripletEm · 31/10/2007 12:31

Oh Mars well done!! What a great prize!!!!

chopsterHeadsOffEverybody · 31/10/2007 12:49

well done mars!

Love the crib one, fg!

d'y ever wonder if you will be able to go to the loo in peace again?
d'y ever start to think that cornflake encrusted wallpaper is actually quite a good look
d'y ever wonder if you could glue them both together and pretend you don't really have twins

Would you believe it is all quiet here, not a peep! Had them both running around the woods this morning and now they are watching tv quietly

Egg · 31/10/2007 13:08

Crib one wins it for me but all are good .

Congrats Mars! Do you get to meet DB himself?????

I bought a BRAND NEW POWERTWIN earlier . It is garish cherry. I am so excited.

Finished quality street before breakfast this morning so nothing for trick or treaters tonight . Suppose i had better head out and get some more though.......

MarsLady · 31/10/2007 13:15

Not a DB fan nor is DS. DS is however a football man so the prize is great!

Egg perhaps you should buy 2 tins!
