Nah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loving it too much at the moment.

Those stereo moments with the DTs though..... they make me want to put the world on pause occasionally.

Had a fab night out dancing. Saw that IAMF filled the thread and didn't even start a new one

So here it is and if you don't like the title.... well it's almost 3 in the morning. What's a Mars to do?

Ooooh oooh, bouncy chairs??? My first one got ruined by damp in garage so need TWO more. Are they nice? What kind of pattern etc?

Think I need to go to bed. Very late night last night as only got home from airport at 11pm, then DS had coughing fit and cried in night, and was up at 7am, and I didn't rest at lunch properly as was catching up on MN .

MarsLady · 14/10/2007 21:07

Egg........ I still have lots of bits if you want me to send some on to you? I'll try not to send the putrid pale pinks and blues. Why people did that to me I don't know!!!!!!!!!

Just popped in to say nighty night

My thread has stopped Mars I don't know. You arrange a babysitter for the WHOLE of MN. I thought they'd bite my hand off

The kids party went well, except Bran won a prize and the girls didn't. Then there was a big argument between the girls as to whose was the blue packet of sweets in the party bag!! Both told me the other one was lying so what do you do?!!! Thank goodness it all kicked off at home!!
And one of the mums has invited just one of the dx3 to a party, which is great news as hopefully the other mothers will see and not feel obliged to invite everyone if there are not enough spaces at future parties.

Hi Oooggs and Egg

Egg I agree that if you can have a natural birth,to go for it. I was determined to have one with my three and it was only because my platlets dropped that I had to have a c-sect under G.A. I know it is not the same for everyone, but I found it really hard to bond with my babies as it just felt like i had had an operation and not given birth. I was too poorly to be moved so I couldn't see them for two days and all I had were photos of babies that quite frankly could have been someone elses. I love them to pieces now,but it is the only regret I have, not being able to hold them the minute they were born.

Looks as though you have all slithered off to bed! Mars surely you must be around you wise night owl? I have been absent on here since Thurs so had alot of catching up to do on you all. People coming and going etc. Bit worried about you Piximon, sooooooooo hope you are ok, we are all here for you xx.So whats been happening in my litle world? Well after last weeks bedtime shinaniggins the boys towed the line four nights running with the promise of a very special something today. They are lego mad, and have asked for more for Xmas, in the loft is Matthews lego, an enormous cardboard box full, been there for 12 years. So as promised we got it ut this morning, covered in dust. Harry took the lid off and I just burst into tears, I so did not want to spoil it for the boys, I felt awful as Thomas whispered to James, "I dont think we should play with it". So I took a deep breath and said, no, off you go and enjoy it. Oh, I find anything like that sooo hard. Of course then it was tipped out al over the sitting room floor, and the three of them had a whale of a time, it was like Christmas. We popped over to Tesco to buy some storage boxes for it, then this afternoon they all went off for a bike ride and I sat and sorted it. Amongst it all I found litle things, his badge from Arizona, his ruler, some tiny micro cars, I can remember the day we bought them, then there were lots of little pieces of card, cut from cereal packets, he had folded them up and on the inside were minute drawings of his beloved formula one cars, perfectly drawn. I just wanted to bawl. Do you ever think I will get to the stage when these unexpectd things wont hurt? I cannot talk to Harry about how I feel, he never ever shows his feelings and at times I think he gets fed up of mine! The other thing is Harry has got his appt at Lewisham hospital next Thurs, so we are praying that he too will get the all clear with his tests, then I will finally know that these three are not carrying any sudden death syndrome, the other side of it is of course if thats the outcome then we will still not know the reason Matthew died. It will hopefully be the end of the road, and I must learn not to panic so much about the kids, just live again and enjoy them. What else? Oh, had a mammogram last Weds, really really hurt! So awaiting my result as I got a recall last time, scared the pants off of me! What a year, tests tests tests! Would have like to be off for half-term, but couldnt find anything within our price range, just fancied a cottage in a forest with a roaring log fire, feet up, sipping large glass of red wine whilst kids play ludo in front of the fire! What its going to e is me here all day, doing usual boring jobs, plus three kids and three projects on the Victorians to get started on! Apart from all that...........Im fine!

You're doing so well triplets! Of course the unexpected is going to hurt. It will always hurt!

Hi all!! My goodness look at all the late night stop outs!!!
Off to clean the house up today. What do you lot consider to be the 'norm' of good housekeeping? I clean the house from top to bottom once a week(Lets me do nothing for the rest of the week!!)but DH says I should leave it longer. A man thing? If no one else is doing it,I'm going to stop too!!!

Triplets: You leave me stumped for words every time. So much is going on in your life right now and you are handling it like a trooper. I can't answer your question, but I think you are doing the right thing by letting your dc's play with Matthew's lego and enjoying it as much as he obviously did.
I know it's not the same, and don't think for one minute I am comparing myself to what you have been through, but I had a mc and it's strange because even now i sometimes still lay the table for four instead of three,or think I have to buy four things instead of three. So somewhere in my mind I must still be thinking about it and I can only imagine how that feeling must be multiplied for you and be constantly at the fore front of your thoughts.
(guess I wasn't so stumped for words this time!!)

Right!! This washing will not do itself and the dog needs walking too!!
Have a good day everyone

chopster · 15/10/2007 09:35

I love the new thread title!

I?ve been taking a break from mn. When I didn?t have bband I wasn?t on here, and there seemed to be so many more hours in the day. I?m gonna be good now though, and pop in here, but try to stay away from active convos and posting all day! Plus you know how it is, I?ve been up to my eyeballs in it.

dd ? struggling at school, needs literacy support again, and I?m beginning to wonder if there is something more to it. Plus sun morning she woke up with tonislitus (sp?) Abs for the first time ever for her

ds1 ? been given the all clear from the ss paediatrician, and def doesn?t have epilepsy But, a school assessment has indicated dyspraxia. I?m really glad because it means he is unlikely to be dx with autism as well. So I?m hoping long term it is a better outcome. Just a bit of a combination really - dyspraxia and hypermobility. I have pages of physiotherapy type exercises to do with him and a couple of books to read now. Oh and another paed appointment? He had parents evening and he is doing really well, and is an ace at maths.

dt1 ? my only trouble free one atm, apart from still refusing to sit on the bloody potty!

dt2 ? list of food intolerances seems to be getting bigger. Tomatoes and carrots are no go now too, aargh! I?m starting to wonder what will be left, and hoping he will grow out of it.

fg, congrats on the prize, when are you going?

tripletsandtwins, glad you reached a decision, it sounds like a big breath of relief for you.

imamuckingfuddle, shut up with your size 8s! Mine are muuch bigger. And all the talk of F%$*k me shoes is very depressing!

triplets, I bow down to you. Not only do you have a trio, you boiled a badger?s skull!!!

Very of HM going to NY. Hope you have a great time!

TripletEm, keep going with the gym, you?ll get there. Don?t do what I did ? worked my butt off last week burning 500 calories. Hadn?t had breakfast, so was absolutely ravenous, and ended up in the chippy on the way home

Mommalove, I could have written your post. Claire Verity makes me sooo . I had to look away when those poor dts were screaming with hunger and exhaustion. I hate the fact too, that now the babies are starting to give up crying the parents are patting themselves on the back like they have achieved a wonderful thing! Even Claire Verity called it ?breaking their spirit?.

merlypuss, you have my sympathy - the same thing happened to me, but not so early on. I think you should def keep an eye on it, but it shouldn?t be anything to worry about. Wear some crocs, you?ve got the best excuse and they are soo comfty.
I?m with you on the colours too, dt1 is quite dark skinned and really doesn?t suit pastels! He looks great in orange and bright green.

Ewww at guiness. I remember my MIL trying to force that down me with dd, insisting it was full of iron and great for the baby. Now brie, that is something else. Would you believe I only had brie for the first time ever a few weeks ago. Scrummy stuff.

Triplets, I think you are an incredibly brave woman, you shouldn?t feel bad for how you feel and don?t let anyone make you feel otherwise! It is an incredibly hard thing to see the trio getting to the age you remember Matthew at, and you are doing so well. xxx

chopster · 15/10/2007 09:35

oh god, it's an essay!

triplets · 15/10/2007 09:37

God morning wonderful ladies,
Thank you all once again, feel as though sometimes I am always crying over something! Today is another day though, teacher consultation at 3.30pm, then off to the cemetery as its the 7th a/v since my lovely Dad died and I like to have it looking nice before my Mum gets there. Masses of housework to do, soup to make and shalllots to pickle, the allotment has been productive! Have a lovely day

triplets · 15/10/2007 09:39

Hello Chopster,
You popped up just as I finished my mesage! Thank you so much for your words of support, just sometimes feel I`ll never come out of my tunnel, but chinks of light keep me going! Anyway nice to have you back!

TrickORTripletEm · 15/10/2007 12:33

Chopster: your words of wisdom have come to late!! I have given in to a sausage roll and crips for lunch!! DOH!!!
And a rocky robin!!

chopster · 15/10/2007 12:42

whats a rocky robin?! Tut at the sausage roll. I hope it wasn't from greggs

I am sooo bored. I'm stuck indoors since dd has tonsilitis. I'm very tempted to send her back to school tomo together with the ABs. Would it be evil? She wants to go, but has a face like a hamster!

TrickORTripletEm · 15/10/2007 12:48

Oh my word!! Have you never tasted the delights of a rocky robin?!!!!
It's like a penguin, but with nicer and thicker chocolate and a lovey biscuit, like a really thick digestive inside. I'm obsessed with them...can you tell?
No my sausage rolls were just cheapo ones from tescos, didn't even taste that niceso I've gained calories that weren't even enjoyable!!!!

I sent one of my dx3 to school with their ab's once and the school forgot to give them to him,I tend to keep them home now. They are usually too grouchy anyway. But the break is sooooooo tempting!!!

chopster · 15/10/2007 12:55

Hmm, I'm not a fan of chocolate biscuits, but it does sound fattening. Of course, I was really good all weekend, I definately didn't eat chinese or fried indian crisps, or pizza and tons of garlic bread...

Off to the gym tonight!

Yeah the school say it is the child's responsibility to go to get them. I'm thinking of a note in her purse. She seems fine in herself, spent most of the morning playing with the dts. Normally she plays with ds1, so it rather strange!

TrickORTripletEm · 15/10/2007 13:10

My son's only four(5 in Nov)and they think that he should be in charge of his own inhaler!! They said "Oh just put it in his draw and he can get it when he needs it"

  1. My ds would be messing around with it every five minuets and 2.He would probably be getting all of the class to try it as well!!! I think they saw my pointIt is now kept in the cupboard!! They can be so ill one minute and then the next be running about,I've kept mine home before and wish that I'd sent them. It's amazing how a lot of their illness's have been cured by 9.01am

I'm off to the gym in a bit. I find aerobics knacker me out to much now,so have gone back to doing weights and using 'Mighty Bands' which i did before and during my pg. I've got quite broad shoulders,so I like to keep them a bit musclely or I look huge!!
Thank goodness the gyms down here are better than in Southampton. My old instructor kept telling me he would give me a 'special massage' after my workouts if I hung around.needless to say I always left pretty sharpish!!

chopster · 15/10/2007 13:13

hmm, now there was one instructor at the gym at slough I wouldn't have refused a massage from
I'm the other way round really, I hate doing weights, especially free weights. I find it boring and exhasting. The last time I actually did my full workout including all the weights I was in agony for days and screaming every time a dt tried to climb on my lap! I prefer cardio - ipod up full and lost to the world. Intersting what you say abotu muscle. I'm tall and broad and I worry that building too much muscle will make me look unfeminine.

TrickORTripletEm · 15/10/2007 13:18

Yeah I do worry, but I have a really boyish figure anyway!! So if I build the top part up it looks like i have a waist!!!
Running used to be my favorite and step classes, because like you say it takes your mind off of it. I do find weights boring, but I get much quicker results that way. I just make sure I'm nowhere near a clock so it dosen't drag!!
Pain yes!! I've only just got back into it and even typing was hard for the first few days!!

Why am I doing this again?!!!!
