Nah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loving it too much at the moment.

Those stereo moments with the DTs though..... they make me want to put the world on pause occasionally.

Had a fab night out dancing. Saw that IAMF filled the thread and didn't even start a new one

So here it is and if you don't like the title.... well it's almost 3 in the morning. What's a Mars to do?

Momma, thats awful. Is he slurping down more than he should or is it a reflux thing? I haven't used infant gaviscon.

I did take DT2 to a cranio-sacral therapist (same as cranial osteopathy, performed by osteopath) with fantastic results. It was for awful colic. (DD1 had it too and I so wish I'd take her...... but I stuidly convinced myself it was my poor mothering skills!) Hope you can settle it for him. Walking the floor with an unhappy baby is one thing, doing it when there is another baby too is tough.

PMSL Mars Saucy saucekitten.

I'm off for a wee caravan break tomorrow for a few days. Long, long drive (oh dear) but adorable destination, on a west coast beach. I haven't been there since before DD1 was born and its one of those places I feel healed the minute I arrive. I hope it can live up to its memory for me and that the kids enjoy it. An empty beach and giggling children, that makes me feel good. Now to pack the entire house into the car

Keeeellllleeeee, hope you're ok.

frumpystumpy · 13/10/2007 12:18

LOL Mars, my post was about your shoes, not your naked DT2 It should be many, mnay years before he is described as saucy

Please take photos and please post. I bet they look gorgeous.

I have a great picture of my DTs dressing up. DT1 (girl) is wearing my old pink frilly party dress and looks angelic, DT2 (boy) is wearing my old red velvet party dress and a pirate hat and looks angelic

MERLYPUSS · 13/10/2007 13:22

Morning Afternoon folks. Went to an NCT sale today and bought loads of ickle baby suits in navy, red and lime green. I don't know the flavour of the twinnies and have steered clear of pastels as they will be mixed race and I like brights on mixed race babies. Have a very funky pair of knitted stripy suits that a friend made. They have matching fairisle hats. They are fab. Everyone else just said 'You can't put newborns in those colours'. Wanna bet? The way I see it is as soon as they can talk they spend the next 25 years embarrassing you so you have to get in first. (manic grinning smiley. My bump has changed shape today and all the ladies at the NCT thing said I was small for twins. How come I still feel like a heffer then?

TrickORTripletEm · 13/10/2007 13:33

Yes Merly!! dress them in the colours you want now, because when they get older you'll have nooooo chance!!
I used to love my little man in red and he looked georgous in a black top too!!(I know, black top for a baby, but it looks kind of suit like which is funny!!)
Pops won't wear pink any more(sob)because she informs me that she is not Barbie, but is in fact the handsome Prince?!!!

Got the present situation sorted out. One big present from all. My DH tried to get away with buying one card from all of them too,but I said I think thats pushing it a bit too far!!

Helloooooo everyone!!!

inamuckingfuddle · 13/10/2007 14:38

afternoon girls, sorry I missed the gin and nibbles last night

I'm a rugby widow today, DH is playing this afternoon and watching tonight so I am home alone with the grumpiest shoutiest DTs in the world is there any of that G&T left?

FG I'd love to know where you're off to, have been trying to find somewhere remote and lovely to go next easter...you can whisper if you don't want us all to turn up

frumpystumpy · 13/10/2007 15:50

dingdong, we head to Kintyre. Looking at a Scottish map, its on the West Coast, the penis shaped bit that sticks out, West of Arran. Or pick an island, they are all fab.

frumpystumpy · 13/10/2007 15:57

can anyone help with this

Harrogatemum · 13/10/2007 16:18

IAMF/Dingdong - I am home alone with all the kids too - DH has gone to Dublin to watch the darts........he went yesterday and isnt back until tomorrow - aaggghh. A friend of ours Dad is a darts commentator on the tv, otherwise I am unsure if he would have gone, not ever having displayed any interest in the, ahem, "sport" before!

I, however have a babysitter tonight and am off out to a very nice fish restaurant with some other mums from the nursery where the kids go - I only really know one of them, so cant get riproaringly drunk!

darn it hm, we could have had our meet up at the farm if we'd known, am v of night out with the girls - I'm being abandoned again in a couple of weeks when DH goes on a stag weekend - not your average stag mind, but deep sea fishing off Whitby personally I think they're all barmy, plus point is they're not allowed any booze on the trawler

thanks FG we went over that wayish before DTs and thought it was lovely which is why I'd like to return, we have also camped on Arran with them, at 20 months, cold and windy and not en experience I intend to repeat!

TrickORTripletEm · 13/10/2007 17:27

Momma, if Dante has pains during the day you could try what we did. Molly used to lay over DH's arm(Think of a leopard on a tree branch)with her head in the palm of his hand and her arms and legs dangling over and DH would very gently rock her from side to side. It would settle her immediately(she would also suck his thumb) I was too worried about dropping her to do it myself, but DH would walk around everywhere like it with her. Perhaps you could put Dante on his tummy over something that is raised so that his legs and arms can dangle down.Obviously stay with him!! Try everything!!

F.G. sounds fantastic,any room for a little one........oh and three kids...er...... DH...Dog.....Nah forget it!!!!!

I.A.M.F why are you sad? You have a rugby player for a husband!!!

H.M. so that you have connections in the world of darts!!! I love it. Any autographs send them my way...yes I am very sad

Mars Hope the party went well

MarsLady · 13/10/2007 17:35

The first party was fab! Lots of sparkly wine. Always goes down well at lunch

Need to make tea.

Some good ideas there for Dante I think. The CO is expensive but it pays dividends. How is Nova? What are her sleeping and feeding habits like?

Need to make tea but have overwhelming desire to go have a nap!

FG............... Have fun my love!

Kelly.................... get cranking girl. We miss you!

H.M. sigh, one day...one day....

ohhh Momma,I feel for you,I can't think of anything else that might help....car seat...tiger in tree....nope thats about my limit of expertise

Mars I wish my party was a princess one,the first one is just the norm and the second one is a tots and football party!!!

TrickORTripletEm · 13/10/2007 19:53

MOMMA PMSL

Just realised that you breast feed!!!

I now have a mental image of you putting Dante into a car seat and trying to get your boob level with his mouth!!!!!!!!!

oooggs · 13/10/2007 21:46

momma - I can relate with you, Erin is much easier and Jack is a smiler but is difficult at night and daytime sleeping

oooggs · 13/10/2007 21:48

IAMF- we were in Whitby this summer - my grandparents live there - but we didn't do any fishing

piximon · 14/10/2007 09:46

Momma - Gaviscon was the only thing that seemed to make any real difference with DT1. I was really, really, against it, till she aspirated on some milk and ended up hospitalised for a few days while her lungs cleared out. She is still prone to throwing up now but not as bad as before, we have good and bad days.

Things are really, really crap in the pixi house at the mo, not really something I want to discuss and not sure what I'm going to do so I'll be away for a bit while I try to think straight. I'll be thinking of you all.

TrickORTripletEm · 14/10/2007 10:25

Piximon, sorry that it's me who saw your post first, advice is not one of my best subjects!!!

So sorry you are having a rough time at home,I hope that you can work things out.
I hope you are o.k. Don't stay away too long. In fact don't stay away at all!! I'm sure someone who is good at advice will be along any second.x.

P.S. I'm a good listener if you change your mind

oooggs · 14/10/2007 10:28

take care pixi - you know where we are if you need us xx
