good luck speedymama. It's midweek, m25 shouldn't be too bad, hopefully.

In our house it's dt2 who causes all the trouble. I put it down to him being the baby!

I've been up since 7 trying to cook. Made the marinate for the chicken and went to spatchcock it and it reeked. Bloody tesco is crap for meat, it really is. Then decided to make seafood tagliatelle and realised I had run out of stock. I've completely emptied the freezer and need to COOK!

and tand t and the dts cakes! What we do is make muffins, I sit on the lounge floor with a huge paella dish with all the ingredients on it and they take turns in adding stuff to the bowl. Then it gets put in muffin dishes and they get to decorate their own. It means I don't have to eat their offerings too!

I've added a few photos to my profile. Check out kamikaze Ravi!

gorgeous pics Chops!

Speedy.... must be something in the air today. Husband in meetings all day. Have 2 clients on the boil. One called at 7 to say she's contracting every 15mins. Second baby. Other client due last week, no word yet (please oh please oh please no word today), also second baby.

Childcare seems to have vanished in smoke. Current babysitter meeting his girlfriend today (she lives out of town). Back up Doula, friend who would sit with the kids not about till this afternoon. Friend that would have them out till this afternoon. Teens in various countries on holiday can you believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what I need is for client that called today to wait till this afternoon and give birth by the end of this evening and other client not to need me till tomorrow. Or client that called: for it all to go off till the weekend and other client to give birth tomorrow.

Why do I do this to myself? I wasn't going to book them close together but I made a mistake with my diary and now I have 2 at the end of a peaceful, pretty much birth free, summer.

Ooh result! Husband just called. He's cancelled his meetings so will be able to come if I need him too.

Okay... so still need it to happen the way outlined above.

Ooh another call. Her contractions seem to have gone off. Now I think I might just keep typing cos it's getting better and better. But I need to go and do things. I can't just stay here typing hoping that the things I type come good.

Sigh.......................

Mars, the first step is admitting you have a problem.

Stand up and say 'My name is mars and I am a workaholic.'

Did you read M2TandF's thread in miscarriage/bereavement? There's a woman in need of real support and prayer.

frumpygrumpy · 29/08/2007 10:48

oh god poor family I have posted a much longer post than I meant to and I hope its not insensitive. Hold your precious ones close girls.

mymama · 29/08/2007 13:35

Hello twin mummies. Sorry to barge in on your thread. My best friend is 35+1 with twins. It is her first pregnancy and she has a question I can't answer. So here it is:

Presuming she has a natural birth she wants to know if they deliver the first baby and it's placenta and then the 2nd baby and it's placenta or the two babies first and then the two placentas? tia

chopster · 29/08/2007 13:44

IIRC I think it is usually both babies and then their placentas. Though it is possible to have baby then placenta then baby. I had a section though.

hollers

frumpygrumpy · 29/08/2007 13:52

Oooh, now I'd never thought about that before! I kind of had baby-placenta-baby-placenta......

I had first baby and her placenta then 16 minutes later the second baby. His placenta was encouraged for half an hour at which point they said it was getting a bit risky (don't actually know what the risk is) and they took me into theatre to remove it.

And you are not barging in

chopster · 29/08/2007 13:54

I guess it must depend on how well attached they are.

I remember dd's came out fine, but with ds1 there was a bit of tugging.

frumpygrumpy · 29/08/2007 13:56

Kelly, thanks for that, I'm eating my egg*

*see egg thread

frumpygrumpy · 29/08/2007 13:57

That was sarcasm btw!!! Placenta and eggs together aren't going down well for me

chopster · 29/08/2007 13:58
