Hi all,
TripletEM, I would def have kept the other one at home, esp as they have only just started school, and anyway as you probably know once one gets something the others usually follow. No doubt too they lost sleep as you probably did and so don`t beat yourself up, make life as easy as you can at this stage. A day off is not going to be detrimental. I have to say mine in the last 4 years at school have always been so good about going to school if one or two stay off sick, I have never had a problem with that, I always thought it would be, "thats so unfair"! You did the right thing! How did you win a prize Frumpy, I could od with winning something, not even a tenner on the lottery for over 5 years now! The only thing I remember winning was a large hamper of dried fruit, when it arrived the sell by date was in two weeks time, £35 worth!! Several Christmas cakes later..............

MarsLady · 03/10/2007 22:41

Besides............ you've won a "proper" prize!

BTW................. Overrun was on the Grey's Anatomy thread!!!!!!!!!!!! We've been deserted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 08:13

FG...

Of course the wee ones will just love it, bet you watch their faces all the time and miss the whole thing. I always do that when we go to the Pantomimes at Xmas

frumpygrumpy · 04/10/2007 09:04

I am peeved.

DP doesn't want to go He thinks its too much for the wee ones and that the effort of keeping them interested/sitting still on the night and happy on the flights etc isn't worth it. I think its 5 flights, one hotel, 3 happy faces, a bit of fun.

Lots of love
pissed off in edinburgh

largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 09:35

oh feck it FG... Do you really have to listen to him? They would love it and the kids would remember it forever. The whole show is geared up for kiddies so noone would bat an eyelid at little jumping beans in seats.

Blardy men >

Had a fightish with mine last night, threw a piece of salami at him while making the lunchboxes It slid down his cheek, i was ROFL and he got all arsy and started twittering about a hard day at work I said if you want something to sap the fun out of your day try starting it feeding the baby while your 2 year old comes up the stairs saying "look poo mummy" he had put his hand in his nappy covered in shit lovely poo and im still smiling at the end of the day

frumpygrumpy · 04/10/2007 09:53

You've cheered me up LG&T

I sent OliviaMumsnet an email saying we couldn't go. Did some laundry, got disappointed, burst into tears, told DP, he said email her back and change your mind, I did, I'm waiting.....

Ah jeez, men/hormones/prizes. I should stay away from them all [watery smile]

frumpygrumpy · 04/10/2007 09:54

I must be due a period. I'm sitting here in floods.

frumpygrumpy · 04/10/2007 09:54

largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 10:00

Ah FG >

Sure it will al be ok, you will have a fabby time. Mine would be thrilled with the flights alone!

largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 10:02

Temporary cos it will disappear as soon as i stop feeding not cos of some weird fake boob insert...

frumpygrumpy · 04/10/2007 10:04

Oliviamumsnet from del monte she say YEAH!

DP doing jigsaws, I'm off to clean up my silly face!

Thank you LG&T, you arrived just at the right time to stop my meltdown

largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 10:04

Actually i have used those weird fake boob inserts (chicken fillet like) when i return to my natural flapping envelopes in the breeze. Quite good actually

What are you going to wear FG?? Apart from ice cream and popcorn

largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 10:06

Excellent FG, melt down avoided, hoovering and cleaning up to be done.

MarsLady · 04/10/2007 10:07

FG........... I'm sure MNHQ recognise how stupid men can be.

Why do you need a hotel? You can all crash at mine!

largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 10:10

Mars just in time, could we have the pleasure of your comapny on the may postnatal thread pleeeeease?

MarsLady · 04/10/2007 10:45

help/advice needed ladies

Meeely2 · 04/10/2007 10:50

advice on how to deal with independent little sods darlings. We have a daily battle getting out the door in the morning cos the boys want to do EVERYTHING themselves, take the top off the toothpaste, turn the tap on, put top back on toothpaste, unlock back door, unlock car door, ring bell at nursery, open nursery door etc etc etc.....
