Ugh! My DT's have been having a rough time going down this week, too. They are still adjusting to being back in daycare and not having the luxury of sleeping until 8am.

DH is a teacher, so he was home with them all summer. His students just started back today.

Meeely2 · 22/08/2007 21:09

mine have NEVER slept til 8! one day i hope, one day (looks wistful).

Tomorrow is another day, night night.

Well, that was after not going to sleep until 9pm.

They got way off schedule, over the summer.

Happy Birthday HM - 35's not so bad...I'm 39 in Dec, so already starting to get depressed about turning 40 .

LG&T loved that link. I got so fed up with all the comments when I was in Eastbourne - it was all the old dears who couldn't resist saying something. I started wondering if I was the only person there with 3 children of similar ages...I knew I wasn't as my friend with 4 boys (4.8, 3.5 and DTs 1.6) was there as well so she was getting all the comments too. You must get even more than we do . This friend of mine was out with her BIL the other day and his 4 children (he's her late sister's DH) and she was wondering why they were getting weird looks. Then she realised, everyone thought they were husband and wife and they were out with their 8 children!!

Harrogatemum · 23/08/2007 11:18

TK.... I was round the corner today. Sorry! After C's (what a gorgeous baby) I had to go to Huntingdon to collect DD1.

I promise to come visit soon!

MarsLady · 23/08/2007 18:30

Happy Birthday youngster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

frumpygrumpy · 23/08/2007 18:45

Does anyone have a positive story about 3 children close in age? Did anyones children play well as a threesome at a particular age? I think we could be going through a behavioural all time low. I am trying very ^very very hard to cling on to all the advice the books give me but jeez I'm tying myself in knots with it all. I'm just about to pour another glass of wine ........ CHEERS HM (you slush, get your slinky butt back here and spill it.....)

Harrogatemum · 23/08/2007 19:36

yo yo yo yoy yooooooooooooo

yes tis me

yes am a tad pissed

didnt win a penny

DH had argument with some men over some plastic chairs

I am bemused as to why anyone would go ot ladies day as it was so expensive and you had to queue for half an hour to buy champers

still I'm a bit druffin as DH would say, nighty night all, teeeee heeeeeeeeeeeeee

thats what being 35 does to you """"""

frumpygrumpy · 23/08/2007 19:56

slush

tkband3 · 23/08/2007 20:02

HM you sound like you've had a great time...wish I'd had your day instead of mine!

Mars - yes I heard, was all set to come on here and be all upset that you'd been so close and not popped round. We went to visit this afternoon but the baby slept the whole time we were there so I didn't get to have a cuddle. But C seemed v. well and v. chuffed with how the feeding's going. My girls were very sweet with the baby, and kept going over to the moses basket and stroking her face very gently and saying 'aaah baby leeping'.

I'm feeling really low for some reason. I think it's this crappy weather. And I had a horrid row with my mum yesterday so I'm not speaking to her. And although I know I'm in the right, I hate not speaking to her, but am determined that this time I will wait for an apology and not back down first...although I'm sure I will in the end.

FG my 3 tend to play quite nicely most of the time, but that's probably not much use to you, given that they're all younger than yours. They definitely have their moments, but I'm definitely finding now that I'm reaping the benefits of having such a small age gap rather than the hell of the first 18 months or so. I don't have any particular pearls of wisdom I'm afraid though. The behaviour is definitely deteriorating in this horrid weather where it's hard to get out of the house except to Sainsburys, and I am very much looking forward to the start of the new term .

frumpygrumpy · 23/08/2007 20:31

sorry to hear about you and your mum tkb. I don't argue with mine often (and thats a whole other path of stories zzzzzzz) but when we do it makes me feel ill. What was it about? You don't have to say. If you are in the right, hold strong, more is said by saying less sometimes xxx.

Meeely, are you under a boob or did you indulge last night?

I'm not here, I'm rearranging and spring cleaning the kitchen and cleaning the whole house and tidying the spare room and putting everything up the attic . This isn't me. If you can't see me then I'm not here.

frumpygrumpy · 24/08/2007 10:44
