Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
TripletEm · 01/10/2007 20:48

Ahhh, can't you remember when 11.10pm was early?!! The night would just be getting started and then you would be moving onto a club? No i can't either!!! I'm in my p.j's by 8pm most nights!!

Oooggs I don't live in a mansion, my girls share a room too!!

MarsLady · 01/10/2007 21:28

Yes I got lots of rest. Feeling much much better. Had a lovely present from my third client (from last week). They gave me vouchers to the Sanctuary!

So I'm going with my sister and we're gonna have a lovely evening spa!

Now to finish bonding with DS1. You know I'm a late poster so I'll be back.

btw... The Memory Keepers Daughter is a very good book!

oooggs · 01/10/2007 21:32

Triplet Em - had to laugh we have three double bedrooms so one for ds1 and one for dts............ our room is being decorated so we are camped in the front room and it looks like a bedsit, it is being delayed by unreliable tradesmen (plasterer) to sort out ceiling. Was hoping to be in by September, now just as long as it is by Christmas

very nice mars - enjoy the pampering you deserve a treat & a rest

triplets · 01/10/2007 21:34

Feeling tonight, another supper ruined by bad behaviour and grumpy husband, hells bells, need a night out with the girls but they are all away on a lovely Scottish Island, reading books, pub lunches and long walks and roaring log fires.............

Hi Mommalove,
Just cheered myself up looking at your lovely photos again, sooooooooooo wish mine were tiny again, how are they all?

TripletEm · 02/10/2007 09:18

Oooggs, at least your room is being decorated I swaped the biggest room with the girls so that they could have more space. They have a nice pink princess bedroom and I'm stuck with a room covered in bumble bee wallpaper!!! Oh and bran has a lovely car room. Whens it my turn?!!!!!!!

Congrats momma. (Don't forget the growth spurt in a couple of weeks).

Will be back later.

triplets · 02/10/2007 14:06

Hi Mommalove,
I am feeling ok thanks, just hoping we will get Harrys hospital appt thru quickly then hopefully we can put alot of things to rest and really start again! I am feeling ok, bit more positive, just wish I could knock off 20 years, ho ho! No, havent been able to find a thing for half-term, unbelievable really, but there you go, will just have to stay home and carry on with the decorating!Lovely to hear you are geting some sleep, long may it last!

piximon · 02/10/2007 17:08

Triplets, I was glad to hear you got the all clear, although the tests themselves sound frightening it must be a huge wait off your mind. Hope you don't have to wait too long for Harry's appt. I really feel for you, wanting answers but also terrified of the results and just wanted to send you my love.

Mars, I'm going to brave the CD tomorrow, have tissues at the ready lol. You should see what the song "two little boys" reduces me to.

Have given up trying to decorate and sell house with all four children around, no sooner do I clean up, it's a mess again, never ending cycle.
Had a long chat (ie 5 mins) with DH and have decided to rent for a while instead. Means we're closer to the area we want (will prob Reading) so we can look for the house we want to buy, and hopefully Dh's journey time will drastically reduce (4hrs either way at the mo). Going to look at a place this weekend, available from next month, which gives me time to get packed etc. I've travelled well, but never officially moved out of my family home. I'm so excited and terrified in equal measure. What if I go out and forget where I live? This is a real possibility, (it happened to my mum when she moved to London and she drove round for an hour in a police car till she saw something she recognised!) and this pg has me so forgetful.

piximon · 02/10/2007 17:23

I'm so excited at the prospect of getting out of this house I cooked today, well only Spaghetti bolognaise but it's not from a jar so I'm making progress.
Right, now I really have to start streamlining my stuff. If mumsnet did the whole secret santa xmas, I'd have loads of bits to contribute which I now have no where to store. Mars know anyone who could use a Graco Mirage Travel system, bought when DS1 was born and very well used for 19mths. Can't be doing with Ebay and bootfairing round here consists of people complaining if you give them the item for free (honestly!) so it's just been sitting in my garage for a few years.

triplets · 02/10/2007 21:16

Hi all,
Thanks Piximon for your message, nice to feel you are all with me on this, it has been a very long 13 yr struggle. When this is all over I then desperately want to move house too, we have been here 28 yrs, our first home, Matthew was just six weeks old when we moved in, I can remember the day like it was yesterday. All we had was a new fridge/cooker/washing machine/ old tv. old table and chairs, carpet in the sitting room and a red rocking chair Harry built me to nurse Matthew in/ one double bed and a cot, that was it! But to us then it was our piece of Heaven.........

frumpygrumpy · 02/10/2007 21:35

Hi all, its all work and no play for me so I haven't managed a pop in!

Triplets, why is it you want to move? (1)its minutes from the beach (I would love to be near a beach, we're close to one but I mean really near, your sort of near, walking distance), and (2) you have all your memories. Do you need more space? It is such a major upheaval that don't you think you could empty the whole house into the garden and start over? Re-decorate everywhere, new bathroom, chuck loads, rearrange rooms and furniture etc, etc. You'll be doing all that anyway if you move........

Don't fret over your girls in Scotland - its been sunny the last few days and warm in the afternoon but cold first thing (really cold, scarves and see-your-breath weather). They are possibly walking around with that hair frizz only a damp day can bring or else fighting off the midges

Kelly, twins and sextuplets??? I'm feeling breathless

Momma, glad things are going well. I can only remember getting sleep in 20 minute bursts at this stage with my DTs so your breastmilk must have Horlicks qualities

Mars et al - hullo.

triplets · 02/10/2007 21:49

Hello Frumpy,
Just thought your nickname reminded me of The Enormous Crocodile y Roald Dhal, one of Matthews favourite stories, the times I read that to him. We do need to move, but we intend staying in this area of Deal. The house is too small, the boys share Matthews room, its only 12x12 and we have a very small decked garden. We had a builder friend up to see if we could extend in any way but he said no. Also Matthew died here, and I still find it so hard to sit in the garden and not get flashbacks. I just feel that if we get the all clear from the cardiologist then it would be a new start, we all need it. Yes we have lots of beautiful memories, but also lots of very painful ones, and I know that if someone had said to me only a year ago you need to move house, I would have been in tears, but now I need to go, and I know I won`t be leaving him behind. We will stay in this area, and thats our problem, finding more space within the price range we can afford in this lovely location.

MarsLady · 02/10/2007 22:59

Proud of you triplets! You're doing so well!

MarsLady · 02/10/2007 23:11

FG...... you won a Mumsnet prize!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You never said!

TripletEm · 03/10/2007 09:08

Big Day Tomorrow!!!! I finally get back to being me and not just mum. Hoorah!!(only taken 4 years!!).
So I've got my new clothes and my hair is being cut tomorrow. Short!!! Very short!! I have quite long hair and I'm taking it up to the jaw line not sure but going to do it anyway!!!
Managed to get all the dx3 back to school after their ear infections, coughs and colds!!!
Triplets:
Can I ask for your worldly advice again?
O.k my mum has just told me off for letting Mo stay home when she was not ill. The thing was Pop and Bran were ill and they have only just started first school and she was upset at having to go on her own as they have always gone together. Do you think that I should have sent her? I will send them seperately when they get older but I didn't want her to be alone at her new school. I know that you have to send one child on their own, but I thought that you would understand why I didn't.Or am I just being to concerned? My heart goes out to you,for what you have been and are going through,I hope that the hospital app.comes through soon and that you can find some peace with the results.

largeginandtonic · 03/10/2007 10:03

I used to send the healthy one too, i was going anyway though as had others in school. If i was going out the house especially then i probably wouldnt have sent her. The other day the 3 in the junior school had an inset day but ds#3 in the infants did not. I kept him home anyway Norty i know

largeginandtonic · 03/10/2007 10:04

Must just share the latest twin antics...

I dont think i told you all what the twins did to me yesterday did i?

I went in to wake them up in the morning for breakfast and could see they were under their duvets. I stood there thinking they are not moving, so spoke a little louder. Next thing i know they have leapt out their wardrobe at me! They had carefully put body shapes (like Ferris Beullers day off)in their beds to fool me. I was laughing so much my cheeks ached

One of them was being asked at the table what the emblem was on DH cap, he said " It's the Queens hat". Cue the other twin and me falling about the floor laughing as twin 1 looked on like we were bonkers, "you mean her crown" said twin 2.

PMSL they are like a comedy duo at the moment

MarsLady · 03/10/2007 10:20

Now that's funny!

TripletEm..... shouldn't worry. I think I might have done the same but I don't know!

TripletEm · 03/10/2007 10:25

Thanks guys I think it could have been due to the fact too that I was totally knackered and wanted to stay in my p.j's just a little bit longer!!!

frumpygrumpy · 03/10/2007 14:57

Triplets, I get it now. I do think that changing things completely keeps life fresh. I have crossed every hair on my legs to hope that the right house pops up for you

Mars, I won a prize??? I don't enter competitions

OliviaMumsnet · 03/10/2007 14:58

Frumpy - yes you did! A fab one!
I emailed you. Do we have the right email address for you?
Please email me on olivia at mumsnet dot com thanks

frumpygrumpy · 03/10/2007 15:03

Hi Olivia I don't think I shared email addresses with anyone. I tend to hide out of the way, I pride myself on my anti-social behaviour

Now, if it involves tickets to see Bruce Springsteen I will email you every last detail, including what colour my pants are.
