I have not been paying attention, who is tripletsEM? Do I have young competition? Feeling very ancient today, today is our 29th wedding a/v. Guess what we did for a treat? Went to Homebase to choose paint for our hall, kids almost dismantled a shelf of paint, back home for lunch, made by me, then spent two hours making nice supper which was ruined by my darling daughter who refused to eat anything then screamed for over 40 mins for strawberry milk instead! I would not give in, so she went off to bed and now I feel abit bad(only abit) as Harry went up to bed just now then came down with a letter she had left on our bed, saying sorry she was so "norty", sorry sorry sorry she spoilt our dinner, we are the best mum and dad, "happi anaversory" and 1000 kisses! Now I` m sitting here feeling too full up to go to bed, should not have had the tarte tatin!

triplets · 23/09/2007 23:56

I am still full up but have just downed a bottle of lucozade..........my rescue remedy! I have searched around and found tripletEm,I have 5 extra years of helpful tips ready for her. Btw, I am always smart

MarsLady · 24/09/2007 00:07

Always a smart arse one were you triplets? lol

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May your life be filled with joy and happiness.

What a lovely letter from your DD. Thank goodness it's nothing like the ones that DD1 used to send me.

10 things I love about my mum ...... awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww then you turn the page and it says.... 10 things she could improve! Sigh..............

triplets · 24/09/2007 00:32

Oh hi Mommalove,
How are those beautiful babes?? Thank you for your message, no idea about the big 30, we never celebrated our 25th, we weren`t talking at the time!! What I would really like to do is travel on the Orient Express to Venice, or fly to San Fran on my own to see my penpal, expect it will be a trip to the local bird park and lunch at McDonalds!!

chopster · 24/09/2007 09:27

happy anniversary triplets!

Welcome 4under5, I also had that scenario, so lots of empathy. My ds1 was 2 when the babies were born too, and had virtually no speech at that time. He has various problems, and so I know what you mean about trying to juggle things! Is he going to preschool yet? I put off sending my ds1 because of his special needs, but once he did go it did him a world of good, especially since I didn't always have the time at home to spend with him. Parent and toddler groups were handy too, there was always someone about who would want a cuddle with baby dts and I could spend time with ds1.

Still waiting for feedback on ds1's appointment, will grab the teacher today if it isn't still pissing it down raining heavily.

Mars, get to work! No salsa for you until it's done!

We're full of the snots too, the poor dts are very out of sorts. Keep wailing about wet noses and pooey nappies. There seems to be a constant stream coming out of both ends atm.

Half term - nooooo, it doesn't exist! I've only jsut got rid of the little buggers darlings, they can't come home yet!

Egg · 24/09/2007 09:50

Morning ladies. Still no tripletsEm over here? I read your link Mars, I think she will appreciate all the banter that goes on here!

Happy belated anniversary triplets (hope this does not get too confusing with two of you with similar names...). We have only just celebrated our sixth! Am very impressed with anyone who reaches TWENTY NINE! I am ready to kill DH most of the time at the mo (blame it on the hormones).

Saw my lovely doula yesterday. Her twin lady before me is apparently fit to burst and i think is 36 weeks at the moment, maybe 37. Wonder if she is on MN? Will have to pass a note via the doula to get her on here so she can try to retain her sanity.

Thinking of moving DS (also snotty and whingey) to a bed instead of cot. He is 19 months. Any advice? Am getting him a super cool car bed so he thinks it is exciting rather than just converting his cot bed. Does this help?

menageriekeeper · 24/09/2007 10:51

Morning all. Beautiful weather here - not! I do like Mondays though. The only work I do today is dinner lady, leaving the rest of the day to myself. Tis blissfully quiet.

Triplets, a belated happy anniversary to you.

Egg · 24/09/2007 10:56

I like Mondays too! Get rid of DH after the weekend, and DS at nursery all morning. Bliss .

Sun is out now. Still cold tho.

menageriekeeper · 24/09/2007 11:09

Ah well, my mum has arrived. She was supposed to be coming this afternoon, never mind. I suppose I ought to go and entertain her.

TripletEm · 24/09/2007 11:09

Tah Da!![grins} Apologies ladies for taking so long to arrive. Well what a tidy house you all keep over here!! I have brought choccy for marslady as requested!! Would have popped over last night but my DH told me you pay loads to take part in forums(he wanted to play on the computer)so after having a hot flush and reaching for some happy pills at the thought of running up a huge bill I made a quick exit to bed!! Just checked my old thread today though and have been reasured that he is a fibber and just wanted the computer all to himself!!Grrr... So I'm back,if you have any good ideas for a payback for my DH please let me know, violence, torture that sort of thing!!
Thanks for the welcome guys

Egg · 24/09/2007 11:14

Hello TripletEm! My DH likes to spend hooooooooooooooours on PC looking at his fantasy football league. And I do mean hours. No idea what you can do for paypack though...

Sorry, so you are TripletEm not TripletsEm, makes it a bit easier not to confusing you with our very own Triplets. It is very comforting to have more ladies with triplets as makes me feel that twins will really be a breeze .

MenagerieKeeper, hope your visit from your mum is not as stressful as my visit from my MIL. Miserable old boot...

TripletEm · 24/09/2007 11:19

Thanks Egg. Just seen my post, I was trying to be so professional and impress you all with my smileys and I messed the first one up!! I was writting it whilst trying to clean chocolate prints off of my keypad, darn those Rocky Robins!!

largeginandtonic · 24/09/2007 13:02

Morning all

Welcome tripletEm! Details please of the children and photos too1 Im a nosey one me

HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY triplets!!! Wow 29 years i bow down to you tolerance level

Have done too much rushing around this morning, had to have all the kids up, dressed and breakfasted to leave at 720 this morning. DH needed a lift in to work (suit does not travel well on a bike, or the lemon cake i made him for him and all his mates at coffee time )

A friend asked me to look after her 2 yr old and Hugs had playschool. He screamed again When i picked him up he was all red and puffy, he had cried all morning and they didnt phone Think i will leave it till he is 3 after xmas and try a different group. Guilt, guilt....

FG my pears and marsala were yum, he didnt play with her pears for too long, was upstairs within 10 mins huge on his face...

Egg · 24/09/2007 13:47

LG&T, it is sad to read about your DS at playschool . My DS has just started nursery at 18 months which is earlier than I planned to send him, but we figured it would be nicer for him (AND ME) if he went now so he has a few months to get used to it before the DTs arrive. How often is your DS supposed to go and how long for? Mine is doing two mornings a week at the mo, but on Thursday he is doing a rare full day as I have my first consultant appt and have been warned they are usually late and usually long for first one. Am worried how DS will handle it, wondering if mummy has forgotten to get him at lunchtime . He will have to sleep there...

LOL at DH and Nigella's pears . Is it your DH's bday or something today, or do you often send him to work with homemade cake? I once made packet cupcakes for my DS for work .

largeginandtonic · 24/09/2007 16:19

DS goes twice a week for 3 hr sessions, he wont be going again. I spoke to a friend about it this avo and she just reiterated all my concerns, she removed her dd from there

Not dh b day or anything, just made surplus at the weekend. DH never has birthdays, he is far too young

The dts used to go to a lovely Montessori nursery when they were 18mths, i started them 2 months before i had dd so they could settle in. I just couldnt see how i was going to go shopping with 3 under 2. That was before internet shopping, wish i had had that.

They loved it and were very good, it was pricey though but so worth it!

Tornados were in the midlands - farnborough, nuneaton, northampton etc.

Egg, luckily I get on fine with my mum, she's easy.

triplets · 24/09/2007 17:35

Mommalove............do you mean you don`t?

Egg · 24/09/2007 18:25

LG&T - so it is a bad place? How awful. Glad you have removed DS. I am really happy with the nursery we have found for DS thank god...

No tornados here (Hampshire) but strong winds and DS and I got caught out at the swings by a massive downpour. Went out without raincoats / raincover / wellies / umbrella etc.

DS has reminded me tonight. Do not buy Stokke Tripp Trapp highchair if you have a puker for a child. He used to puke a lot, I was forever spending hours trying to clean in the gaps. He no longer pukes much, but choked on a bit of sausage at supper and the whole meal, plus a lot of water, came flying out. The he tried to put a bit of puked up sausage back in his mouth .

He is being a tornado now. He went upstairs and I have, for once, not followed. I hate to think what might have happened up there.

TripletEm · 24/09/2007 19:01

Evening all!! Mommalove I can feel the bond already, I'm from that lil'old place called Devon too!! L.G.A.T would love to show you photos of T's just not sure how to do it!! by the way have you all done your profiles? I wasn't sure if it was a bit swotty to do it or not!!

Egg · 24/09/2007 19:32

TripletEm, I have noticed that the vast majority of the ladies on the multiples threads have done profiles, much more than the "general public". Probably because they want to show off their achievements more! I have found once I have made friends on MN I wanted others to be able to see my little DS and how handsome he is etc .

My DH is from Devon, can I still be in the West Country Gang?

Leoladyofleisure · 24/09/2007 19:35

Wow Triplets, 29 years! Congratulations!

Hello TripletEm... and all the other new-ish-bies that I have missed saying hello to.

Egg, if the nursery is good they will know exactly how to make sure your ds settles for his sleep and doesn't notice that you don't turn up at lunchtime.

ds1 goes back to nursery tomorrow, we had issues with the place before going on holiday and he also didn't want to go. I'm nervous about if he will settle back in OK as we haven't been able to find an alternative yet.

Has anyone been asked by a complete stranger if they can take a photo of your gorgeous dts? An old lady came up to me in the airport when we were flying home and asked. I couldn't believe it! i was so shocked, I didn't know what to say.

Leoladyofleisure · 24/09/2007 19:37

Is there something about multiples and Devon???? Aren't several more of you from down that way?
