Oh bugger! Couldn't resist trawling through the last month's worth of posts.
CONGRATULATIONS, HM! That's such good news! What a fab name. All the people I know (not many) that have been called Maddy are sooo lovely! I know it shouldn't matter, but it always does with me.
Pixi - I'm heading to London the week before Christmas - if you haven't gone in, are you around? Am visiting PILs so won't be far away... Do you need help with anything? Cleaning, washing, fetching, carrying?? Hope you'll be hanging in there.
Leo - routine started Day 2 in hospital when the midwife wouldn't help me wake the boys to feed them when I (their mother) decided it was time to do so. (More of that when I eventually get round to telling you how it all went! Which was brilliantly!) With a little persuasion they now do about 6 hours during the night, but they are big so that's probably why. The book I used was Baby Secrets by Jo Tantum and Barbara Want.
Did I tell anyone names and weights? Can't remember so here they are again (or for the first time). Thomas, also known as Tom, Tommy, Tomalomacus or Frog (lots of squeaky hiccups), born at 10.55 on 20th Oct, weight 7lb 1oz; Daniel, Dan, Danny, Dindle-dandle or The Dribbler born at 13.05 (same day) weight 8lb 8oz. Very dark hair, olivey skin, brown eyes. Skin and eye colour seem to change daily though, but I think they'll stay dark.
Hum, there was more I wanted to say but I can't remember what it was.
When does twin-skin go? And what about stomach muscles meeting again? Any good advice? By the way, any expecting mums should be collecting conkers and mashing them up with olive oil, leaving the mush on the windowsill for a couple of weeks in the sun, straining it and having it ready to use on any piles that may possibly appear post-birth. Sorry to lower the tone again, but it needs to be said. Conkers are very good for haemarroids.
The howlers are just beginning to think about second supper. I'm really going this time!
