James is fine this morning thankfully. Still grumbling it hurts but throwing himself around like a whirling dervish. So it can't be all bad lol. He did have calpol in the night though so we're going to have to keep an eye in this little drama lama I think.

Night all. James took himself to bed at 6, the twins had been asleep nearly an hour by then thanks to not wanting their afternoon nap - Jennifer climbed out of her cot today.

I am shattered. Sweet dreams everyone x

Back home..............I felt most uncomfortable all day, just dont do "frocks" anymore, heeled shoes killed me..........think Im getting old!

bubby64 · 19/04/2014 00:27

Glad J is fine Soks
Did you enjoy the wedding though Trips?
Shabs- are you ok love, well, maybe not ok, but surviving?
mama- if you are reading, i hope that things improve for little A

Well, I must have kicked an old gypsy woman in a former life, as I seem to be cursed.Sad Sad 2nd week in a new job, and what do I do, I slip over on a wet floor at work, and it looks like I have broken my scaphoid bone in my left hand. I have to go and get a 2nd xray tomorrow, but the A+E dr was almost certain thats what I have done, so, at the moment I am in a removable thumb splint, but tomorrow (or today now!) it may be a plaster caste. I have told work i can continue, its just I wont be able to do any lifting or things like dressings, so I hope they allow me to go back, as sick pay is out of the questionSad Sad
The annoying thing is the floor had only just been washed, and no sign was put up.

triplets · 19/04/2014 12:06

Oh no BUBBS what bad luck, cant believe it, you poor thing. No I didnt enjoy the wedding tbh, these civil ceremonies are just not the same as a church wedding, it was very disjointed and extremely expensive for what they did and provided. I drank though far too much champagne and am suffering for it today! Got in-laws coming for lunch tomorrow...............seemed a good idea at the time!!

shabbs · 19/04/2014 12:14

Afternoon girls xx

MultipleMama · 19/04/2014 15:35

Bubs, I hope it's a clean break and just requires plaster.

Spent 3 hours on Skype with my brother, today. Talking to him makes me realise how much I miss having family close. DH's family are great and all but I can't talk to them like my dad and cousin. I miss my brother too - I forgot how easy it was to press his buttons and annoy him - he's a stickler for pronouncation especially his name Grin.

Halo was ventilated this morning :( but Artie is recovering well and feeding with gusto :)

bubby64 · 19/04/2014 20:14

Mama- Poor little Halo, glad Artie is on the mend tho.
Trips - Hope the hangover is a little better. I am avoiding my FinL at the moment, as I dont want the sarcastic comments I will get about me being accidents prone.
As for my hand, it looks like a clean beak, but as the scaphoid is difficult to get xrays of due to its position, they can't really tell for about a week, when they xray again, however, I am now in a plaster backslabSad and the whole hand has turned black with bruising. I am going in to work tomorrow as I can't leave them in the lurch on Easter Sunday, so we had Easter day today, complete with egg hunt.

triplets · 19/04/2014 22:43

Spent a productive afternoon baking, a head start for tomorrow! Need a good nights sleep, shake off the champagne from y/day and startagain tomorrow...........my sil makes me Easter Wink

triplets · 20/04/2014 05:19

So why am I wide awake before 5am...........nooooooooooooo

MultipleMama · 20/04/2014 13:50

Artie & Aubrey went to flower show with MiL this morning while I took the boys ice skating; there's nothing cuter than watching K help Dom skate on the ice for the first time :)

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 20/04/2014 20:50

I'm raising a psychopath. James has been crushing snails today.

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 21/04/2014 08:57

Kids here go back Wednesday. A least I will be completely childfree as the twins start preschool :) such a big step for them and I'm looking forward to it. Jen howled and wanted to go in the gate when we walked past on our way to the park the other day!

Just have to pick up a few bits and then we're all organised.

Had yesterday off visiting Mum. My God didn't I know about it when I got there......shouting at me in front of everybody that I had abandoned her (even though I am, at the moment, the only one visiting!!!) and I was a useless daughter etc etc. I know she cant help it - I know its the Alzheimers. Just walked home trying not to cry.

Our kids are not back in school/college till the 28th - so thats me with mum to visit everyday, Lew from 7am till about 2pm and Tom having to be pushed to do his course work.

Somebody pass me a bloody shotgun!!!

bubby64 · 21/04/2014 22:47

Mine go back Wednesday too, I was trying to get them to go to bed at a reasonable time tonight. I think I am going to start praying to the saint of lost causesConfused 10.30 and they are still up.
Soks- try to enjoy the peace and quiet, mind you, if you are anything like I was, the time couldn't go quick enough, now I look forward to it!
Shabs- Try not to take it too hard. I am getting it in the neck from my brothers because I hadn't visited my mum until today, never mind I visited her last Wed, worked 13 hr shifts Thur/Fri, spent Sat in A+E, and a 13hr shift yesterday. They visited for the first time in 3 weeks yesterday, am I'm the one in the wrong!
Also had the sad news my Aunt (mums elder sister) passed away yesterday morning, so I have had to tell my new job I will need time off for fracture clinic and for the funeral. im going to be very popular aren't I!

Chopstheduck · 22/04/2014 07:30

Mine are back today. Feels like it has all gone too quick this holiday. Did a lovely 12 mile bike ride through the countryside with them yesterday in the sun, finishing at the pub. Though I did have to cycle alongside and push Rav up the hills this time Today it is pissing it down and miserable!

Aw Bubby, hope it heals soon!

Chopstheduck · 23/04/2014 06:28

Picks at the lamb bone sadly, looking resentfully at the chocolate.

I didn't even have a single egg. Did order some half price from Hotel Chocolate which will be here for next weekend though Grin

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 23/04/2014 07:52

Yay! It's here! The first day of term is here!

And my baby babies go for their first whole day of preschool today. Jen has even let me tie her hair up on top so it's not in her eyes. Whether it lasts is another matter.

Mama, hope the A team are doing well and Apollo is being a champion patient.

MultipleMama · 23/04/2014 17:39

Evening ladies X

Chopstheduck · 23/04/2014 17:52

Hey mama, how are you and the babies?

MultipleMama · 23/04/2014 20:57

Hey, Chops :) How you doing?

Artie is pretty much back to her normal self, her rash is fading too. She's still cluster feeding but next week we plan on introducing BLW. Apollo is still sedated and ventilated, and latest MRI and CT scan showed some damage to the left side of his cerebellum. The swelling is going down as well as they expected, so a decision has been made that if it doesn't go down to a level they like by the weekend, steroids will be used as a last option.
