Evening ladies. Since we're at 999 now. Was feeling reflective tonight.

Trips- where are you staying in Suffolk, perhaps we can meet up??

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 21/03/2014 12:49

It's taken two years for the babies to be ill together (other than chicken pox). Jen started being sick yesterday afternoon. Joshua joined her by the evening. Thank god it's a sunny day today!

Otherwise we are ok here. Only ok as James' paed has changed her mind and just said he's 'complex'. Yes, well that doesn't help when he's making his sister late for school and hitting/licking/kicking me. Or barely sleeping! and breathe

And to top it off dad has been undergoing tests and has been told there's a 5% chance he's not got cancer. And it feels like we're waiting a lifetime to find out how bad it is.

The only plus side to it is he's being a lot more tolerant of all the children since he has his first appointment. He's almost resigned to a fate we can't predict yet. ConfusedHmm

Hiya girls xx

Oh Sok I know that anxious feeling that you describe when you talk about your Dad. xx

MultipleMama · 21/03/2014 18:21

That must be a hard situation, Soks. I really hope he's in the 5%. The not knowing is one of the worst parts.

I'd like your views ladies. DH and I have been wanting to get on the property ladder for years but as we knew we weren't staying in England for the long term we didn't commit and in Germany the prices are more expensive so we used to just browse properties. Now, an oppertunity has presented itself for us to actually really consider buying house - the catch is; the house we are renting only has a 12 month opt out clause so we'd have to buy this year. Should we wait until the lease is up or try and find the perfect house now but risk being trapped in a 2 year lease when you don't find a house to fall in love with? But then again, I don't want to rush either. I know nothing on buying only renting.

We're going to have a long talk about it with family etc and we don't have to decide now and the oppertunity will always be there but I'd like your thoughts, if you're willing to offer them :)

Happy birthday Trips!!! xxxx

aww, soks :( {{{hugs}}}

mama, I have no idea! I thought renting was more the norm in Germany? Not that that really means anything, but it seems to be a very different market.

MultipleMama · 22/03/2014 19:12

More people rent in Germany as housing is more expensive but the properties are more valvue for money. My dad says we should look and if we find one, go for it and if we don't find one before September then just wait. He has great logic but I still keep doubting. We have a while yet so not in any rush.

triplets · 23/03/2014 22:10

Oh its so nice to be home Confused
Had a lovely time, thank you for my birthday wishes.....but where`s my Cake?

Chopstheduck · 24/03/2014 06:37

Offers round the dt's chocolate birthday cake CakeCakeCake

9 yesterday! ShockGrin

Took them go karting which was fun, though think really they could have done with being older. They both went like maniacs, and dt2 had quite a bad crash. He was flung back and forth in his seat and I was worried about his back/neck. He had a pounding headache all day.

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 24/03/2014 08:14

Morning.

Thanks lovely ladies. No news yet Hmm

Joshua climbed out of the cot yesterday morning. Was lying in bed with that dawning realisation we had three children scrambling onto our bed. He was most pleased with himself. Damn those superman pjs.

Belated birthday wishes to the mini chopsters!
Dk had an emergency dental appt today 4 injections and he still looks like Quasimodo!! :o

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 25/03/2014 16:19

Sorry chops, I missed the birthday wishes for your terrors :) 9! Lordy!

Some news today. No sign of damage to major organs but part of large intestine. Will know more after further tests. But I guess that means dad is not in the 5%. Although he's not actually mentioned cancer himself, mum told me that's what they were looking for. It's such a word isn't it. 6 letters long but has such an air of fear about it that it cannot be uttered by my dad. My dad who is my big, brave man. The man I looked up to as a child and who, despite some quite significant differences, I know will always be there for me no matter what stupid thing I may do.

Aww Soks its scary, having been there myself..............
Girls where can I get two inexpensive very slim fitting suits from for my boys? Needed by the 16th April!

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 25/03/2014 22:12

Thanks trips.

Try m&s for suits. Especially if they have a sale on. Dh got a dinner suit for £45. Separates but means you can get a good fit.

Morning girls xx

Oh Soks I know exactly what you mean. A tiny word that our Dads generations cannot say. My dad has never said it even though he was diagnosed a year ago. Round our way people never said that word out loud......I remember my Nan saying 'Oh that lady at number 21 has something she cant get rid of!!' I hope and pray that your Dad can get treatment asap. Its so scary - I feel like a little kid all over again.....scared and unsure about what to do. xxx

triplets · 26/03/2014 08:23

Teachers on strike but still awake at 6am! Off shopping for wedding outfits........dreading it!

Chopstheduck · 26/03/2014 17:16

Sounds like that is good news, soks! :)

I am knackered. Barely stopping again. Older two were off school, younger two were in. Took dd for a ski lesson instead.

lol @ Joshua, bet he was chuffed! I remember those days - ended up with two stairgates, one above the other on their bedroom door!

Had a phone call little while ago, looks like CAMHS have made a decision about ds1 dx, appointment is next friday.

triplets · 26/03/2014 22:47

Evening ladies.........success! Two boys kitted out for wedding and interviews! First went to Tesco, found a suit for Thomas, perfect fit, nothing for James. Went to the till to pay and the jacket price came up as £34 instead of £50 and the two belts @£8 each came up at £2!! So saved £28 :) Then went to Primark, no suit but perfectly good shirts @£5 each and ties for £2. Next stop Matalan where James got a blue suit, he looked amazing in it, not as cheap though at £75. Still a lot of money as they are growing like weeds atm! Just me to find an outfit, I really really hate buying clothes!

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 27/03/2014 08:20

Waiting here. Dad has colonoscopy on Saturday. Then hopefully we will have an idea of what we are dealing with and what treatment will be. Thankfully dad is a bit happier now. He was truly terrified of being told the same as one of his friends a few years back - by the time they realised, it was too late and he died a few short months after diagnosis.

Today is a big day here as it is our second caf for James. Fingers crossed we get somewhere. Or maybe more people turn up! Yesterday was interesting as they had a fancy dress day at preschool. Which. James does not do. He refused to even look at the staff as they were all dressed up too. It wasn't until his key worker took off her hat and got him to show her his new train that I could unvelcro him from me! Poor sausage.

shabbs · 27/03/2014 08:28

Soks - once you know whats going on then you can make plans. You will also have a 'plan of action.' My Dad was also diagnosed very late on, by which time it had become in-operable. Keeping everything crossed for you (if I believed in 'a God' I would pray for you). xxxxx

MultipleMama · 27/03/2014 17:46

Exhausted!

How're you ladies? X

triplets · 27/03/2014 22:45

Soks........what ever the outcome its better once you know, you do as Shabs said start to deal with it. I have been through similar many times now and the killer is the waiting, it is agony. I hope they dont keep you waiting long for the results. xx Well girls I am fed up. Went clothes shopping on my own looking for a wedding outfit and look fat and am fat in everything I put on. I am now size 18, there is no denying it..............being 6ft tall I kid myself I dont look fat.................three dresses bought, three dresses going back tomorrow.........I must NOT comfort eat...............
