Mama words fail me..................think of all those teenagers, this is the easy bit, believe me.
Just ad a txt from James, they are on their way home from London, he said it was fantastic.
I had my friend her until 10pm, nice glass of wine and a chat, civilized!
Another week has flown by, time flies in the blink of an eye.......how very poetic of me :o

MultipleMama · 14/03/2014 23:41

We're years away from teenagers and we'll cross that bridge when we come to it :)

As I can't seem to sleep, and neither can BlueA, we are snuggling together on the sofa with a book :)

Chopstheduck · 15/03/2014 07:19

I wonder about all those teenagers too! Dd has been driving me nuts lately, she is going through a very self entitled phase atm. Angry Thankfully ds1 is still lovely though, and sends me texts after school with kisses on them! Grin

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 16/03/2014 00:21

Morning! Another late night/early morning here. Been out twice in a row! Get me!

Hope all the teens have settled down - it's a full moon tomorrow so maybe you'll have to wait until it starts waning again.

Monkey monkeys have been up to tricks. Did I say yesterday that Jen appeared from behind the sofa, bottle of wine in hand and demanding cup? If i did, apologies. If not, have a giggle at the cuteness of a very nearly 2 year old. 2!!

Late night messaging again!
Another disaster struck Friday, Mike broke his Rt thumb in PE at school Friday, we have to go to fracture clinic tomorrow to se if it needs a pin or notSad Sad .
Been at Young Farmers Rally today. James got a 2nd place with his carrot cake(its really yummyGrin !) 2nd with his logo design and 3rd wirh bricklaying and leaflet design, Mike got a 1st with his roadside sign, 2nd in the treasure hunt, and 3rd in the boys flower arranging(he was not pleased doing that category, said it was sissy! But, as I said, it was all boys having a go, so not to feel that way!) He was anmoyed he couldn't do the wheel change. Very proud of them both as there were a lot of entries in all categories. As a club we came 2nd overall. I, personally am knackered as prep took up most of yesterday, then at Rally from 9 to 4 today.

triplets · 17/03/2014 07:00

oh Bubby poor Mike, is it his writing hand? Well done to the boys, and all your hard work too.
Lovely sunny morning and I have a cold!

bubby64 · 17/03/2014 20:57

Hi Trips, yep, its his writing hand.Sad Saw the consultant, he wants to leave it in a full hand/thumb splint, and review it next week, as Mike still has "bendy" bones, and he wants to see how it heals without puting a pin in it yet. Took Mike back to school this afternoon, and spoke to his year head, they have nobody to scribe for him, so he has to borrow a school ipad and then print out his lesson notes afterward.

MultipleMama · 17/03/2014 21:04

Hope M doesn't need pins! Fingers crossed.

DH slipped on the stairs today and came slidding down the bottom set on his ass. Dom patted his shoulder and went back to playing with Dee stood there in hysterics, poor bambino wet his pants from laughing so hard. Good news; DH is okay just a bruised ego and a red mark.

K is totally in love with the C4 program "Live in Space" (dad downloaded the episodes and emailed me them). Going to let him watch the last episode tomrrow before bed. He's in love with Mike Hopkins and called him pretty. My son is adorable.

triplets · 17/03/2014 23:13

where`s my mate, Shabs is everything ok? x

triplets · 18/03/2014 06:24

Morning, dont need an alarm, 6oclock every morning!
Morning all :)

Chopstheduck · 18/03/2014 06:28

Morning girls

Aw, poor Mike. Hope it is better soon. Wouldn't it be better for someone else (another student) to type so he can rest it properly? Then they can print out two copies.

LOL @ Jen! Very cute.

I am soo tired! I've jsut had to tip a coffee cos I poured pepsi in it instead of milk

shabbs · 18/03/2014 07:34

Morning girls xx

Not bad Trips. Parents on the 'downward spiral' - dread it every time the phone rings. Feel like a little girl who doesnt know what to do. Its our 36th wedding anniversary today - am going down to their house to try and get my Mum to have a bath and get changed. The carers cant make her and she got very angry with me when I even suggested it last week. Aint life grand?

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 18/03/2014 08:10

Morning.

((Hugs Shabs))

Poorly Jen Jen today. She was off it a bit yesterday and then ate paint mixed with w/up liquid at toddlers. Made her sick so think she got all that out of her system. Today she doesn't want to do anything other than sit and cuddle so far. She's had milk and shredded her toast over the floor.

Dad at hospital today. Hoping to find out how bad things are with him :(

We're out to see Russell Howard tonight. Dh being a bit of a knob over general house things at the moment. Yes, I know the house is a tip, and I am trying. But there are bigger things going on right now.

OP posts:
shabbs · 18/03/2014 08:47

Oh I am jealous - I love Russell Howard. Enjoy!!

bubby64 · 18/03/2014 13:05

Shabs - I know what you mean about your mum and bathing, mine just screams and wimpers any time shevis in the bath, this started whilst she was still at home and I was the only one willing to put her through s process she obviously hated so muchSad Anyhow, try and have a nice anniversary anyway, any chance of having a quiet meal and bottle of wine to celebrate tonight?
Trips - I always wake before the alarm, and lay there waiting for it to go off.
Soks - Hope Jen recovers ok, my house is a tip too, but, as you say, there are many things which take priority over house beautiful. Enjoy Russel Howard, he's a blast!
Mama - hope DH is ok, and its nice that DC are enjoying English language programme's, so they dont lose too much of the language from lack of use.
Chops- you are obviously burning the candle at both ends at the momentWink

shabbs · 18/03/2014 13:45

She wouldn't even let me help her to get changed. She cried and said 'leave me alone, please.' Sad dont know what to do anymore. Have, however, got her to eat - she loves anything 'cheesy' so made cheese, onion, bacon quiche. Over the last few days she has eaten all of it.

No chance of wine or night out....spending every last penny we have on busfares at the moment - up and down to mums. My Gawd I am a miserable sod - just ignore me!!!

triplets · 18/03/2014 22:14

No we wont ignore you missus:o I feel for you, I know how stressful and tiring it was two years ago when my lovely Mum became ill, backwards and forwards on buses, watching her slip away.....I could cry now thinking of it. And the shops are all full of Mothers Day cards :( Not looking forward to tomorrow, up to London for cardiology check on kids, they dont want to go poor things, so awful for them having to live with what happened to Matthew :(
Night night girls xx

shabbs · 18/03/2014 22:36

Thank you Trips...my forever friend....we found each other because of the loss of 'our Matthews.' Good luck for tomorrow but I dont think you will need it. I will be thinking about you all. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 19/03/2014 01:13

Russell Howard was hilarious. I particularly enjoyed his comment at the end 'put your mobiles down you technology obsessed meerkats' to groupies at the very front while he was trying to tell a serious story.

OP posts:
Chopstheduck · 19/03/2014 06:37

thinking of you, trips xx Doesn't seem that long since the last check?

Will have to remember that one for my lot Soks!

We're getting the dts phones for their 9th birthday next week. Only very basic things on payg but it will make me feel a bit better about them going off to the park on their own. Plus probably going to do an inclusive giffgaff bundle, so dt2 will have great fun texting daddy all day long Grin

triplets · 19/03/2014 07:44

Morning ladies.....no it wasn`t very long ago, last Oct. Prof Sharma wants us to transfer to his own unit at St Georges Hosp in Tooting, we usually see him at Lewisham. He says it more like a private unit so should be quicker and less stressful!
Thank you Shabs xxxx

MultipleMama · 19/03/2014 21:39

I'm jealous! I love Russell Howard. Glad you enjoyed yourselves! :)

The boys are 18 months old... where has the time gone?! Shock

triplets · 19/03/2014 22:45

11 hour round trip to the hospital, it was not like a private wing at all and no quicker really. All their tests were done within an hour, then we waited and waited and waited to see Prof Sharma, it was soooo hot in there too. Anyway all is well, all looks normal, so he has decided to see them again in two years time. It was very upsetting as because it was our first appt there we had to go over everything again, I ended up in tears. Then dk really upset me, just don`t need it after a long stressful day and I ended up swearing at him, yes Shabs in my best southern accent! Must get to sleep, a million things to do tomorrow then off to Suffolk on Frid for 2 nights for my birthday!! Kale Nits everyone xxx

Chopstheduck · 20/03/2014 06:36

aww that is disappointing, trips, what a stressful day! But the main thing is that they are all fine xx

I feel a bit better today, slept well last night, but no doubt I will be back to being a zombie by sunday. Today dt1 is racing at St Neots, so I have a 25 mile mad dash to pick him up after picking dt2 from school. Don't know if I mentioned it, but he got a medal last week - his school team got first place in the Athletics Finals at Eton. He did high jump. :)

Tomorrow I am taking him to see I can't Sing, the new musical (west end). It looks very questionable tbh, but I won tickets and it is dt1's turn for a night out. Plus he loves Harry Hill's 'comedy', so I think he will find it funny.

shabbs · 20/03/2014 06:53

Morning girls xx

So glad you got good results Trips but so sorry your day was stressful. xxxx
