Evening ladies. Since we're at 999 now. Was feeling reflective tonight.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 22/02/2014 21:23

Oh mama! I wish people who are parents themselves wouldn't assume to know best with every child. Apollo is still so tiny and has been through so much you'd think they would try and understand.

Thinking day went well. We had more than half our girls attend, with another badge received to sew on. Which I have done already since my box was still out. We had the biggest turn out between our rainbow and brownie unit overall and the girls had a great time. I have learnt that singapore coconut jam isn't as coconutty as you would think, more fruity and quite pleasant!

Thanks ladies. DH has been quiet all evening, his mum phone earlier and DH hung up on her which I don't blame him so I sent her text telling her to wait until tomorrow to speak to him as he's upset and angry.

So tonight I sat down and wrote them an email on what needs to happen for them to see Apollo at this current stage. Right now even the Doctors are unsure what causes his reactions so we need to limit what he's exposed to to be able to diary it all and figure it out.

They're very stubborn, tradional and like to think that their way of thinking and their way of raising a child is the correct child. They've never had a child who's been ill since birth and has high needs and it's been over 23 years since they raised a baby and times have changed. It's hard for them to change their ways and accept that. Hopefully tomorrow is calmer!

Sok - Glad you enjoyed it, sounds like a lot of fun!

Trips - I don't know how they can go hours without food! I would think staying in one room all day would be boring after awhile I get bored of my laptop and TV.

MultipleMama · 23/02/2014 03:22

It's 4.20am and it looks like I'm up for the day... fed the twins at 3am but know they're literally wide awake and refuse to sleep. So I'm gunna bath and dress them while Apollo and Artie are fast on and then I'm going to try and sneak a shower in the family bathroom so I don't wake the twins in the master one. DH is dead to the world too so it's just me and my boys :)

Morning Shabs, hope today will be a kind one for you.......xx
Need to lose weight, badly, go a posh wedding on the 18th April, haven`t seen my legs for years! Cannot remember the last time I even wore a skirt! So for breakfast I only had one fried egg........................2 rashers of bacon...............tinned tomatoes..............an 2 slices of toast :o

bubby64 · 23/02/2014 18:31

Evening Girls. Been laid up since yesterday evening with the mother of all migrainesSad. Finally over following GP visit and an injection early this afternoon. Haven't had one this bad in years, but obviously stress induced. Horrible week was capped by DH's car dying Friday. Took it to local garage and they said it would be over its worth to fix. Looked on line for a cheap replacement, and must admit we struck lucky, found a simular model but 3 yrs newer and 50,000miles less on it for really cheap price, so withdrew last of our savings and went to look. Being sold by an old boy who spent more time polishing it over the past 6yrs he's owned it than driving it! DH gave it a good look over and couldn't belicebour luck, considering everything has gone wrong lately. I just hope it is as good as bargin as it seems. Could really have done without using our savings tho.
Trips - Irresponsible teenagers abound here atm as well. DH and I have been battling our 2 to get on and finish a homework project due in Thursday, They have had 4 weeks to do it and just messed about (remember the papier mache incident!) They are now finally panicing and want DH and I to help them do it, and we are refusing to atm, its their responsibility, and they have shirked it, now they are worried as they will get in trouble. Do you think I should help, or leave them to the consequences?
Shabs-you ok love? And I agree this country is going to pot atm.

Mama- stick by your guns darling, its your son's health and safety you are protecting. And your DH has every right to be upset, it was a really nasty comment they made to him.
Soks- well done to you and your troop! They are obviously a credit to your leadership.
Chops- is everything ok with you out there?

MultipleMama · 23/02/2014 20:58

I hope your bad luck ends soon, bubz you don't deserve all this crap to be happening to you! Hope your migraine is better too. I get them due to the scarring on my eyes and eye strain, they gave me indomethacin to take as and when. Never heard of the injection though!

DH still isn't talking to his parents, he had an hour's German slinging match with his mum on the phone so it's just getting worse however my dad is flying over on Wednesday for my birthday. I cannot wait to see him. I've missed him so much. Wish he could move here too.

triplets · 23/02/2014 22:14

Hi girls.........just had the most awful stabbing pain in my lower left side.......most uncomfortable. Just watched Captain Phillips, not normally my kind of film but it was excellent, brilliantly acted.
Bubbs, the stress must be immense, try and be kind to yourself and get some rest. Are yours back at school tomorrow? Do hope the car is ok, sounds like you struck a good deal :)
Back to normal then, what ever that may be.
Kale Nits :o

Cold, dark and raining - my God I cant wait for Summer. Even without a trip to my beloved Rhodes!!!

My Mum is 80 on Saturday Smile - she is hysterical!!! 'Would you like a party Mum?' 'Nooooooooo love - just get them (family) all to come and see me BUT not altogether please cause that would send me daft!! Oh hang on I am already daft!!!'

Bloody Alzheimers!!

MultipleMama · 24/02/2014 07:46

Bubz I think your migraine is catching! Had about 2 hours sleeo in total last night. Apollo's just a PITA... It's throbbing between my eyes and hitting my jaw. I would love to curl up in a dark room with the DC but today is appointment after appointment and have take all of them with me. Shoot me now.

Hope your mum has a good b.day, Shabs! X

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 24/02/2014 19:59

Evening ladies. Migraine definitely catching...

Woke early hours to find Jen sitting on wet bloody sheets. I'm hoping it was from teeth cutting as I couldn't find any sign of her bleeding anywhere. She's been clingy for a few days but seemed ok in herself today. Just a cuddle monster Smile

Hope everyone's had a good day and dc are settling down (errant pil also)

Healthy lot aren`t we? We all need to feel the sun on our faces, roll on Spring, its been a depressing long wet Winter.............we all need something to look forward to.............

bubby64 · 24/02/2014 22:26

Mama- the injection was of sumeptrin (imigram), I had the tablets, but kept vomiting them back up (sorry, probably tmi) Hope your DH and his parents settle their diffenences soon, and glad you are getting closer to seeing your dad.
Shabs- happy birthday to your mum. mine is very frail now, not eating or drinking properly.
Soks- hope Jen settles soon.
Trips- hope you feel better soon too.
Thank God boys went back to school today, need to get things back to as near normal as possible. I also
went back to work today, and accepted their offer (as if I could do anything else) Lots of people saying they can't believe they are letting me go. I had decided to be professional and continue to work my hours until the leaving date. Then they had the utter cheek to ask me to cover next Wednesday. I nearly told them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine, but bit my lip and politely declined! DH and I have decided that if I can get another job straight away, we will use some of the money to gave a nice holiday.

MultipleMama · 25/02/2014 04:47

5.30am and the boys have decided that it's time to start the day... I only put A'lo to bed 15 minutes ago... and DH left 10 minutes ago for work DH had tried settling them but it didn't work so looks like I'm up!

DH and is parents still aren't talking but we can't keep it up as the DC still need their GPs and I just know that having my dad here is going to fuel the fire even more because he's staying with us and we are obviously playing "favourites". Tried talking to MiL but until she speaks to DH she wants nothing to do with me but DH doesn't want to talk to her. I wanna bang their heads together.

Bubs - Ah, migraines just leave me sensitive to light and sound and make me lightheaded luckily no nausea! Hope you feel better.

Hope you ladies are doing okay! X

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 25/02/2014 08:03

Still got a cuddle monster. But I can live with that as she's just cuddly and climbs on my lap or flops out on her panda cushion. No more blood thankfully!

Slept off migraine yesterday. Think the stress of Jen and then having the specialist HV come for James got to me a bit - he threw Duplo bricks at her Blush thankfully she was ok about it. Said he's impulsive, quirky and pedantic.

Dh was lovely, brought fish and chips hem for tea, which I barely ate. Then suggested we both went up when the dc did. So we did. Bed by half 7, the life of parents hey.

Mama. I hope you get to catch up on some sleep soon. I remember only too well the utter exhaustion of the early baby days months and practically passing out from sheer exhaustion.

Sorry that the outlaws are being so stubborn too. You were completely right to lay down the law with them, but you'd also think since you've approached them to make amends that they would act like grown ups instead of petulant children.

Bulbs, I can't believe they had the cheek to ask you to cover a shift, well, actually I think I can. It's the sort of think my ex work would have done. Fingers crossed for everything working out for you. The car sounds like a real find though. Perhaps your luck is already on the up.

Crazy day! Just put up the pullout bed from the garage into the spare room for dad. Everything is ready for his arrivial AND DH and his mother finally a screaming match talk on the phone and managed to sort something out. If they wish to see Apollo and hold him etc for the time being they have to come to ours, arranged visits only and must follow our rules when it comes to Apollo's health and Artie's for that matter too.

They're not pleased that my dad is staying with us but they have no leg to stand on at the minute and DH is threatening no contact if they mess up.

Oh the joys.

triplets · 25/02/2014 22:26

Oh Mama............of course your lovely Dad must say with you, what do they expect, put him in a B&B? Really hope you can sort all your troubles out and enjoy your birthday.
Nothing exciting to report from here.
Night all xx

shabbs · 26/02/2014 01:09

Mamma I smoke!!! I like smoking......I never, ever smoked until my DS3 was killed - 22 years ago. I know its awful. I know its disgusting. BUT I also know I love smoking. BUT if my wonderful DIL said 'you cant see Lewis if you are smoking.' Well I would think about it. I would ponder it but I would probably lie about the fact I was still smoking!!!

I am not trying to be clever. I am just trying to survive. I also agree with your DH and your views. I have also had a baby who has massive heart problems. Life goes on xxx

MultipleMama · 26/02/2014 02:22

I understand that Shabs, that he could lie but I hope he won't due to Apollo's health. He smoked for most of his life and if he wants to smoke he can, we're not asking him to quit completely, or that he can't see him just won't be allowed close to him. What he does with his life is upto him, all we ask is that if he's visiting us that he not smoke until afterwards. The smell clings to clothes and breath - I can't allow Apollo to be around that, if perfumed shower gel triggers an asthma attack, what will the smoke do? I can't risk it.

Everything is unpredictable right now. He still needs heart surgery, his lungs are badly scarred and to top it off his senses are hypersensitive.

Life does go on and I hope that Apollo's problems do calm as he grows older and I can stop being so paranoid - I'm scared of losing him hence why I keep overreacting... xxx

So... this is what 24 feels lile!

MultipleMama · 26/02/2014 05:12

About to pick my dad up from the airport. My first attempt at putting 6DC into car and hope most of them sleep! Wish me luck! Haha.

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 26/02/2014 07:34

Morning ladies. Hope the loading of car went well! It takes me as long to load the car as the walk to school lol. So I try to walk it as much as possible.

I have a comedienne for a baby girl this morning. "Let mummy wriggle your leggings up" so Jen wriggles herself (giggling) and completely hampering my attempts to sort her bottoms out. "Where's mummy's kiss?" - leans towards me, then blows a raspberry on me instead. Grabs my nose and blows another raspberry, then the same with her own!

Glad dh is on a half day today. High profile sentencing day this afternoon.

Afternoon Girlies. I've been called by an nursing employment agency, and they have passed my CV on to a local Nursing Home for a Senior Nurse position, and they want me to interview Friday, eekkk! I haven't done an interview for 8yrs!!
Mama- good luck with the outlaws and your Dad coming to stay, and Happy Birthday xxxx
Shabs - I know its very hard to stop smoking, especially if it is one of your few pleasures and stress relievers, dont be hard on yourself.
Soks- hope Jen gets better soon, and I don't blame you at all for going to bed at 7pmGrin Grin
Trips/Chops - hope you had a good day.
Oh - and I had M in hysterics last night, he just couldn't do his online MyMath homework last night, and his math teacher has a rule that if you don't get an 75% green pass, its after school detention, even if they have obviously tried, very unfair I think, as if they have tried, and failed, surely it indicates he needs more help, not a punishment. I couldn' t help him (swapping equivilent equations!!). I have written an email, and copied in the Year Head, so hope it will be sorted.
