Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Morning girls!

Great news, mama, hope that means you will get a little more rest too, I don't know how you are still going!

I was looking for something on the school website yesterday and came across a ski trip - only nearly £1500 a child. Hmm They take them to the US, absurd!

DH family have backtracked on their offer to have the dts Angry, so it looks like dd will be going ski-ing with me instead! Not quite the same as going with her peers (not that any of her friends can afford it either) but I'm sure she will make friends in ski school, and it will be fabulous mum & daughter time! Smile

Great news Mamma Smile

Prices these days make my purse shrivel up!

Chops, I bet you'll have a great time together. I can't wait to do things like that with my girls :)

Informed DH who told his family that Apollo is being transfered. Wish I hadn't now as my MIL has "insisted" that she is meeting her new Grandchildren Angry. And according to the phone call I received this morning she's gone and told half her neighborhood that she is! Without even asking me or DH! So, gunna place a my lovely MIL and tell her back off and that family business stays family business until we give the okay. Now, I'm gunna act like the wicked DIL because I'm not allowing her to see Apollo otherwise everyone and their aunt would bloody want to come and I'm not ready for visitors or the questions. I want him home and healthy first. I love her to bits but she can be overbearing and very judging. Especially over parenting styles and DH.

On a positive note Apollo has hit the 5lbs mark!!! :) :)

MultipleMama · 30/01/2014 15:24

Angry Angry Wish my MIL would stop playing the bloody injuried party! And now she's "deeply upset" because I told her she couldn't have Artie for the day. We're not even in Frankfurt yet! Banging my head against the wall would be less painful.

Thankfully, FIL understands and was lovely to talk to so he is going to talk to her for me. Families, eh?

bubby64 · 30/01/2014 23:48

Mama - glad at least FiL can understand where you are coming from, I can't belive MiL can't understand that it would be totally wrong to seperate Artie from you and Apollo at this stage in their little lives!
Chops, have nice mother and daughter time skiing.
I have felt really unwell since waking at 3am needing to vomit. Hot and cold, shivers, nausea, headache and general feeling yuk. Had to phone in sick to work today, DH said I really must have felt bad, as normally try to go in no matter what, as feel guilty after having so much time off with my ankle. Have now managed to keep down tea and toast, so I might go in tomorrow as its only a 1/2 day.

Chopstheduck · 31/01/2014 06:33

aww bubby hope you do feel a bit better soon, that sounds nasty. Hopefully it is just one of those quick 24 hour things.

shabbs · 31/01/2014 07:09

Morning girls xx

Hope you are feeling much better very soon Bubbs x

MultipleMama · 31/01/2014 07:17

Get well soon, bubs!

A is getting prept for transfer as we speak and DH has managed to wrangle the day off work to meet us! :) Such a good day.

MultipleMama · 31/01/2014 13:07

I'm so happy. I missed DH so much, it was great to hug him and smell the familiar scent of his shower gel. I refuse to let go of his hand! Won't be seeing the kids until later, they're out with SiL so I can't wait to surprise them! Apollo is doing great and has now officially upgraded to SCBU. He's still on a radiant warmer and high flow plus meds but he's doing so so well! :)

Also, I think Artie is wanting to crawl! I know she's prem and only 8w adj but I swear she is. She has mastered rolling over and has good head control. Yesterday, she started bending her legs kinda like the army crawl. She's doing it again, today. I don't know if it's a phase or what but it definetly looks like she's trying to kick/push (?) Her legs.

bubby64 · 31/01/2014 14:18

Thanks for good wishes, didn't manage to keep toast down for longSad so off again today. Feeling yuk.
Mama - So happy for you. And wow, well done to ArtieGrin

MultipleMama · 31/01/2014 21:01

My MiL may be an overbearing, old-fashioned PITA but she's been a God send. She's looked over the children, took them places, and spoiled them rotten! We talked over coffee so she could meet Artie and hold her but I explained why I wanted Artie close and why I didn't want Apollo to have visitors, she apologized and spent the whole hour ignoring me and cooing over Artie! :)

She and FiL have potty trained the twins!!!! Shock Shock DH and MiL wanted to surprise me, so imagine my surprise when Dom showed mama how to go potty!! The twins just wear cloth pull ups on a night - haven't mastered that yet! My babies are growing up!

triplets · 01/02/2014 14:24

Bubbs........you and me both! Awful night, sore throat, headache and now trotting back and forth to the loo..............was fine y/day!! So having a very lazy day as I feel washed out! Hope you are feeling better! Quiet on here.........................

bubby64 · 01/02/2014 18:30

Trips - hope you recover soon too.
Finally started to feel better yesterday evening, but still very tired, trying to wake up this morning was like swimming through treacle, you would think I had overdosed on sleeping pills! Now J has a headache, feels tired and TBH, looks even paler than normal, and DH has also given in, gone to bed with paracetamol, strepsils extra strength and a large glass of water!

MultipleMama · 01/02/2014 20:04

Aww hope you all feel better soon!

Our house is just chaos. Trying to organise some form of routine is getting me nowhere!

Dieter has weirdly starting German all the time! DH said he's been doing it about two weeks now... when I asked him a question, K piped up and said, "silly mama, De German now!" I have a sneaky suspicion that DH has reverted back to speaking German all the time and De has picked up on it.

Oh and A's care team have figured out why he's so stressed and restless. Turns out his hypersensitive so he's in a dim lit cubicle with miminum noise, he's fed more often and they've changed his sheet to softer hypo allegtic - and I can tell it has a made quite a difference. He's sleeping easier and less cranky :)

triplets · 01/02/2014 21:57

throat is sorer and sorer................hate being unwell :(

MultipleMama · 01/02/2014 22:29
bubby64 · 02/02/2014 01:00

Trips - I got the anaesthetic spray stuff in the end, only thing that worked.
Mama- I think uou have caught your DH outGrin Grin , glad Apollo is more settled, nice that they have figured it out at last.
J gave in and went to bed at 7pm, very early for him as he's usually a dirty stop-up if given the chance.

Hope you all feel better soon! x

MultipleMama · 04/02/2014 00:54

Am I crazy to even think this? DH thinks it's doable and affordable but I'm still undecided, and I don't know if it's really what she wants...

DD has told us she wants to ballet and we have thought about her doing ballet or another activity to boost her confidence, she's really shy and barely manages to talk to others at nursery mainly due to her seperation anxiety. Thing is the ballet classes are in Hamburg (no classes for her age group anywhere near us) and start up in September. It would require flying to Hamburg and back. The lessons are once a week, for an hour. Worth it or completely crazy?

Chopstheduck · 04/02/2014 06:19

Morning girls x

Crazy, mama. Shock Even if it is doable with your schedule now, it's not going to work long term. It would be better to find something local where she can make friends too. Ballet can always wait a bit.

Is there anything like a theatre group? That did wonders with my dts. Mine always howled at nursery, for a good year at least. Made me feel horrible. They grew out of it though, and now are so confident and outgoing. Will talk to anyone and everyone, and we are thinking of sending them off to camp for a week in the summer.

IMO totally barking mad Mamma Grin
