Morning ladies.

Alas mama SPF higher than 30 brings all mine out in itchy heat rashes. According to dr it is probably blocking their pores so their bodies can't sweat it out. But I think it's a family thing and on my side certainly all of us with eczema have a really good tolerance to sun, our skin certainly improves in the sunny weather. So it's sun hats and t shirts here. And trying to keep to adventurous babies in the shade...

Am setting up windbreaks to create shade for the babies today. Am hoping it also works to pen them in a little. Bit of a neighbourhood gathering as one of the families is moving back home to the states this week.

Woke with a blinding headache this morning too. Which thankfully I've now managed to sleep off. Just drink more today!

Sokmonsta · 07/07/2013 10:25

Enjoy the museum mama. Hopefully it will be lovely and cool in there.

MultipleMama · 07/07/2013 16:46

Hello ladies.

Sok - My kids burn easily. They all have fair skin but K and A are pale haha.

The museum was great, the kids loved it. We forego the Donkey and used the Bobas (1 each). I was forced into a wheelchair by DH as I technically have two days left on bed rest. The kids found it funny and had a go pushing me.

K is more like himself so I think the antibiotics are working and Domeczek had a blast running off from DH when he took out the carrier.

Everyone enjoying the weather?

Sokmonsta · 07/07/2013 21:33

A lovely day was had by all here. The baby pen worked. I think the path was too hot for the twins to want to escape after the first time. Very amusing watching Jennifer pick her way across the front path. Joshua tried to walk, but couldn't quite manage hot slabs either so they stayed in their 'den' of windbreak and pool with sun shade (no water though).

Emily had a thoroughly wonderful time playing in one of those children's water sprinklers with the neighbours children and friends. James on the other had decided it was too hot and mostly stayed indoors. He was quite happy when I drove him to the inlaws in my lovely and cool air conditioned car.

Proud mummy moment today was when Jennifer managed to climb on the sofa. She couldn't bear that mummy and daddy were eating (tea) and she wasn't. So she pulled herself up and then sat there looking at us as if to ask what all the fuss was about! Joshua is storming along walking. He grows more confident with each day that passes.

MultipleMama · 07/07/2013 22:01

Awww that's wonderful news, Sok! It's those simple little things like climbing and innocent faces, isn't it? I bet you're both so proud of both of them. How old are your LOs, again, Sok? I can't remember if you mentioned or not? memory like a fish!

I try to capture every moment on camera but it's like they can sense my disorganization and do it while I haven't my camera on hand! All 4 dc passed out as soon as they hit the pillows. So did DH's (he's such a cute sleeper!)

triplets · 07/07/2013 22:09

So who saw the tennis? Absolutely fantastic...........I honestly didnt think he would do it.....................very proud :) Just spent the last hour in the front garden with the boys, ladder up the tree as Molly, bad cat climbed up after a bird then couldnt get down. She did nothing but wail and cry for over an hour, its so dense we couldn`t see her. Dk was very unhelpful saying cats get up, cats get down..............he was right, she came crashing down into the hydrangea bush :o

MultipleMama · 07/07/2013 22:55

Aww Trips. Bless the cat! Haha. .

Sadly, I'm not into Tennis, I'm more of a Formula One girl myself. But glad to see us British winning something. However DH and I were more pleased at Sebastian Vettel winning his home Grand Prix. DH was such a proud German. Swearing and getting excited in German too haha.

Trips, driving from Vegas irrc! Thanks for the tips :)

Think it goes, LA - San diego - palm springs - canyon - vegas - death valley - yosemite - monterey - SF. Something like that!

We spent most of the weekend out in the garden, was gorgeous! My older two burn and have gone a bit pink, but the dts beign mixed race, won't burn unless it goes over 35 or so. Shay no longer looks white though! Grin It was 30 in our garden yesterday. I've been working on my tan ready for holiday.

Sounds like everyone else has been enjoying it too!

I'm now off for a run though, not looking forward to that, but put it off all weekend.

Chopstheduck · 08/07/2013 09:22

Oh and the tennis was great! We watched the tennis outside on the laptop, while Shay watched the F1 indoors. He went to the British grand prix last year and ever since, he has been F1 obsessed, watches all the races, the qualifiers, everything!

MultipleMama · 08/07/2013 09:59

Morning. Eldest are at Creche and preschool. Can't believe K starts Reception in September. Scary stuff!

My last day on bed rest and is going to be spent sorting out piles of baby clothes. New and hand me downs from twins and Aubrey. Hy crap there's loads!

148 days to go! Haha.

MultipleMama · 08/07/2013 11:07

Chops - I do too. I've watching since I was a kid. Been to Silverstone 4 times and Germany twice. Once when pregnant and once with a baby K. I just love the sport. We're a mad family.

Not as warm as yesterday but still lovely. Boys are napping in the Donkey as I research girl names haha.

Chopstheduck · 08/07/2013 11:46

It was held at the Nürburgring yesterday too wasn't it!

We went there once, as an outing while driving through Germany. Only to find that we had arrived on a day when it was closed to cars and had been taken over by cyclists!!! Couldn't believe our bad luck.

I'd like to go with Shay one day, it's jsut soo expensive. Instead we have to make do with visiting the empty tracks!

MultipleMama · 08/07/2013 13:53

It was. We travel with Motor Sport Travel I recommend them. We had planned on going to the Japan race this year but with this high risk pregnancy we decided against it.

We drove upto Germany with K once to watch race. Bought tickets, hired a campervan, booked a parking space and spent the weekend there. Crazy experience.

It is a costly event so we set money aside in our savings to pay for holiday/trips.

MultipleMama · 08/07/2013 16:15

How should I tell DH that his favourite shirt got mixed in with the red baby grows... shit.

Chopstheduck · 08/07/2013 16:22

hmm, chuck it in the bin, and deny all knowledge of where it has gone to!

Chopstheduck · 08/07/2013 16:22

Or you could try those laundry sheet things that are supposed to recover colour?

MultipleMama · 08/07/2013 17:58

... I blamed it on twins.

"The boys put your shirt in the wash - by accident of course,"

"Which shirt?"

"Oh just that white one with blue on it,"

"And..."

"I wasn't washing whites and it's now pink with blue."

"You mean to tell me that they put my best shirt in the wash, grew a few inches, magically closed the door and switched it on?"

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying how can you be mad at this face?"

He's now sending me evils and giving me the silent treatment. I should have denied everything!

Gunna try those colour catches tomorrow!

triplets · 08/07/2013 22:48

Mama Shock how could you ? :o

bubby64 · 09/07/2013 00:08

Evening Girlies.
Mama - how could youShock Grin Grin
Soks -how nice for you witnessing those moments with your babies. Glad the "baby jail" plan workedGrin
Chops - it hit the 30s here too on Sundsy.
Trips - glad things are a littke better at the moment, and do glad you enjoyed your break so much.
We spent the weekend at a classic car event, it was only 10miles away, but we still camped. Very hot, but fun. I got a bit bored on the Sunday, so left the males to it and popped across the road to the other large stately home in the village where they have Tudor reinactments, I used to do these there years ago, and enjoyed meeting up with a few people I knew who were there. Glad I wasn't doing it anymore as they were all sweating away in authentic costumeGrin
The nice thing was, as we were quite close to home, we could take the dogs back there during the heat of the day, and fetch them to be with us in the evenings again.

The boys have been behaving themselves, no major strops, so dh and I have told them that we will be hoing to Alton Towers during the school hols (thank you Tesco Clubcard vouchers!) I have also managed to get a 2 night stay at a B+B only 10 minutes away with 20% off through booking.com, so everyones happyWink .

MultipleMama · 09/07/2013 07:06

Bubby - Sounds like you had a blast! I've always wanted to go yo Goodwood festival. I wish my kids were older so I could drag them to Alton Towers with me.

DH forgave me when I got up earlier and made him breakfast and coffee before work. It's so easy to use the twins! They've got him wrapped around their fingers haha.

I am 19 weeks today, and my bump feels massive but it's smaller than what the twins were. We find out the gender next week. Excited.

Chopstheduck · 09/07/2013 07:09

Morning girls.

I actually managed to win tickets to Alton Towers with fastrack to that new ride, but probably going to save them for Easter as we already have a busy (and expensive!) summer. I really want to make a weekend of it and go to the waterpark bit too.

I'm rather grumpy that I have to wait in AGAIN today for an electrician. Ever since the LL decided to replace the fuse box we've had problems. Angry

Grin @ mama! Hope the colour catchers work.

shabbatheGreek · 09/07/2013 08:21

Morning girls xx

Ahhhh Alton Towers - Toms favourite place in the world!!! He has been about 6 times with school on rewards trips - you know the kind of 'rewards' trip where it ONLY cost £25 and a tenner for the coach Hmm

Just coming to the end of a week of raging temperatures, hacking cough (till I am sick) and snot!!! Has really floored me. Going seeing my parents today now it seems to have stopped. xx
