Morning already?

Sokmonsta · 01/07/2013 09:15

Sorry mama. I missed your post saying you were in with K. Those put me up beds aren't the greatest from what I can remember, and then you get disturbed every time they come to check on little one.

Hope you get home again today.

MultipleMama · 01/07/2013 16:45

Between him waking and them disturbing me; I didn't get much sleep but we're home. He's gotta have antibiotics for a week - 3/day. Luckily he's too tired to tantrum and is fast asleep on the sofa.

DH started back at work this afternoon, but we've had to hire a friend to help with kids while I'm on bed rest. Luckily the kids know her and didn't cause any unnecessary stress.

How's everyone been today?

bubby64 · 01/07/2013 20:45

Glad your home Mama, and that k is on the mend.
Soks- just lurk if you don't feel like posting, we don't mindWink

weekend has been a mix of good and crap here.
good is J and Dh both passed their red belt in karate, and M has asked if he can join to get fit, i was a little worried how J would react, but he seems to welcome it. Also, we had a great day Saturday at the primary school community fete (how come my boys have left the school and I am still roped in to helpConfused )
Bad news is the car failed its MOT(i kept saying to dh there was a problem but he kept saying it would passAngry ), and I am stuck again without my own transport, I had to be taken in to work an hr early and left an hr late, and I won't get paid overtime, also, we are now in a situation of open hostility with our neighbours, who threw a brick at little Bertie in our garden injuring him, as they said he was barking at them, and we called the police and RSPCA and they have had a warning about their behaviour, but they are now being even nastier than they were beforeSad Sad . And finally, my ankle is swelling up big time, and hurting like hell, so really fed up.Sad

MultipleMama · 01/07/2013 22:04

Congrats to J and Dh on passing!

Nothing skints you more than a bloody car.

Nothing I hate more than assholes hurting animals as a dog handler and owner it makes my blood boil. A dog barks for many reasons and should never be discouraged, they may have been winding him up and Bertie saw it as a threat. You did the right thing calling police and RSPCA.

I hope you're resting that ankle as well and taking care of yourself.

DH and I have somehow managed to end up with all 4 dc in bed with us. Also, Di (dts1) took his first wobbly steps tonight!

triplets · 01/07/2013 22:55

Well did yer miss me? Glad to hear you are home and back into the thick of things Mama,:) Bubbs, do watch that ankle, slow down......
guess who had a nice time t CP.............ME for a change! Weather was hot, lodge spanking new, and had a lovely meal out on Sat night at the Italian :) Dk is now dh or being nice all weekend, never saw the boys they just took off, only dd didn`t join in...........so I left her to it. Did me the world of good, shame its all over! Now got to face Weds, my Mums first a/v and having my gum cut open at the hospital................aghhh. x

MultipleMama · 02/07/2013 01:56

We did! Glad to hear you had a lovely time. Seems like you needed that break before dealing with the world. What I wouldn't do for a break, I feel older than 23!

I've somehow ended up breast feeding K during feeding the twins. Last time he asked for "baby milk" was when he was ill in hospital back 2011. Okay, bed time. Night!

Glad to have you back Trips!

Chopstheduck · 02/07/2013 07:22

glad you had a good time trips! Does your dd generally get a bit pushed out with the boys then? I have that problem as they get older, the three boys get together and play football and dd ends up at a loose end. Though dd usually makes friends with peers on holiday so finds girlfriends to hang around.

bubby, how horrible! Is Bertie ok? And do rest your ankle.

We have a neighbour whose dog bark incessantly. It drives me nuts, they get sick of it and just put it outside and we have to listen to it. Even in the middle of the night. I'd be more inclined to throw the brick at them though, not the dog - everytime he barks they start shrieking at him which just encourages him, or throw him outside and ignore him so he is sitting barking at the door. It's hardly the poor dogs fault. All dogs barks sometimes though!! Sounds like they were tormenting him. :(

Hope the car gets fixed soon.

Mama how do you do it all! I hope you are still resting! I only fed mine til 6 months, then I was desperate for my boobs back, I really admire those who do carry on longer term!

Shabs, you ok there? How was your weekend?

I've been enjoying the sun, had a family kickabout at the park, lots of bbqs, msotly been chilling. Pulled a stomach muscle while pole dancing BlushGrin

Glad you had a good time Trips Smile

bubby64 · 02/07/2013 09:55

Trips- glad you had a good time, teensge girls often need to mooch off by themselves, I know I did. Good luck with the tooth/gum probs on Wednesday.
Mama- at leadt you all managed yo have some peaceful time, well done for those 1st stepsGrin
Chops, he was barking because they were using the hedgetrimmer on the hedge between our houses, and leaning over the fence whilst doing it. Neither dog are "barky" as such, and if something does set them off, we will bring them in, as its not fair.
He had a cut above his eye and a nasty one down his ear, but they are healing well.
Hi Ruby, Soks and Shabs >

MultipleMama · 02/07/2013 16:58

Chops - How do I do it? A lot of luck and a lot of mess ups! Breastfeeding is like 2nd nature now but I'm still reeling over the fact that I may be breast feeding 4 in December. My eldest two self weaned at 2. I promise I am resting, we even have a friend who's a cleaner & babysitter so we're paying her to help this week.

Shabs - Evening!

Bubby - It was lovely and peaceful. I would love a trip away just me and DH but I hate leaving my kids, when K was first born he wasn't out of my sight until he turned 1 as I ebf with no bottles. Thank you, so proud but so far he hasn't tried again - he stands thinks about it then decides crawling is quicker haha.

Hope Bertie recovers well!

K goes back to school tomorrow and I am not looking forward to the upcoming "I'm ill" tantrum.

triplets · 02/07/2013 23:27

Here I am late as usual............catching up with mountains of washing, got soaked going to he cemetery today and still got a sore foot! I am not looking forward to my hosp apt tomorrow, tomorrow will be the first a/v of losing my lovely Mum in the same hospital............lots of bad and sad memories.
Chaos outside here tonight, emergency ambulance just left the home opposite, foxes screaming and a rescue helicopter flying over!
Night night all xx

Afternoon ladies.

Wandered into the new nursery today just to pick up a few catalogues so I could start looking online. It seems DH had decorated the whole (yet small) room with the paint and polar bear paper we chose. I love him! Now I can concentrate on furniture.

The room is roughly this size. I need two smallish cot beds. Any recommendations?

Sokmonsta · 03/07/2013 19:42

Hi mama. we have this cot one side comes off so you can use it as a bed when they get bigger.

I couldn't see how big your room is but we have one of these, a second slightly smaller cot and a 'bunk' bed in the dc's room. The two cots are in an L shape. And one also runs along side the bunk bed.

bubby64 · 03/07/2013 20:05

Chaos in village for the past 2 days as had TOWNIE filming here!
Lots of stops for photo shoots with the local kids, when I asked the boys if they wanted to go and get one taken, they both shuddered and said "no way mum, they all have too much make-up and glow in the dark white teeth!" Oh dear.......Grin Grin Grin

MultipleMama · 03/07/2013 21:25

Sok - I am in love with the STUVA range. DH loves it too. We love love the white/green colours! Now to budget.

Bubby - Did you want your photo taken?! Grin

As predicted DS1 had one hell of a tantrum this morning. I feel awful sending him off to school with his antibiotics but I can only do so much in my state.

Made some fudge and brownies today with A - she loved it.

triplets · 03/07/2013 23:26

Grrrrrrrr got all syked up for the surgery to my mouth and they didn`t do it! Said the proceedure would take longer than anticipated so would have to make another appt, I waited 5 months for this one! Really missed my Mum today, felt weird being In the same hospital she died in :(

bubby64 · 04/07/2013 00:10

mama - no thanks, they all look like artificial barbie and ken dollsGrin
hope k feels better soon. I bet he loved the brownies.
Trips - what a letdown!! Sad Angry Have they given uou a revised date yet for the surgery?
Mike had his OPA today (has yearly checkups due to hypotonia and lung probs) he has almost full lung function now, the upper left lobe has grown almost right down filling the cavity, so thats brilliant. He continues to need physio support for the hypotonia, especially his central core muscles, but when he mentioned starting karate, his consultant was very enthusiastic about it. He has also grown 4cm and lost 1kg, so all is goodGrin .
Rich is ginally working on my car, I think he is getting as fed up as me sharing a car again, so its finally spurring him onWink

MultipleMama · 04/07/2013 01:57

Bubby - I can't stand those programs; if you can call them that! :D

I hope he does too, hasn't woken up at all tonight, so far. I'm assuming the antibiotics are working. He loved the brownies, I told him if he goes to school he can have one in his lunch box.

Trips - Are they sending you a letter out with new appt or do you have to phone and make a new one? Total crap that they messed you about like that today. I can't step into a hospital without thinking of my mama, always brings a dull ache to my chest. Flowers

shabbatheGreek · 04/07/2013 07:11

Morning girls xx

Thats rubbish Trips - hope it is soon sorted out. Thought about you and your lovely Mum. xx

I took my parents on the bus to our local town yesterday Hmm was an interesting experience. Got off the bus and Dad refused to cross at the 'safe crossing' instead me and mum linked him and walked across the very busy road expecting people to stop.....thankfully they did. He is a swine!!!! Then I polietly got told to 'bog off home!!!' LOL. Thank God that my bus came before they came back to cross the same road. He was organising Mum and birthday cards.

Today, 16 years ago, was Toms due date - he did however arrive on the 24th July.......apparantly, even though I was almost 41 I didnt know my dates Hmm - he almost arrived wearing his school uniform LOL

OP posts:
Chopstheduck · 04/07/2013 07:25

LOL @ almost arrived in his school uniform!

That is a nightmare trips, hope you get it sorted soon.

What fab news bubby! M must be really chuffed too! I considered karate for J actually, but decided it wouldn't be a good idea as he can barely stand up without falling over. It was recommended by the OT too, it must be great for strengthening.

I am knackered! Summer term is the worst for rushing about, kids needing to be in different places. Only good thing is it stops me eating too much and I might shift those final few pounds before holiday!

shabbatheGreek · 04/07/2013 10:48

My parents GP finally visited them - supposed to do this once per month and when I chased up why he wasn't visiting he lied and said he didn't know they were ill!!!!

He has changed my Dads tablets - pharmacy are delivering them today but need to take the old ones back with them. Rang Mum and told her....she wrote it all down on a post it note. She just rang me again and said

'Where did I put that post it note and what did it say?'

'Dont know where the note is Mum but it said.....and repeated the conversation.'

'Dont worry love....I found the note its stuck on my forehead!!!'

I have nearly wet myself laughing....she is also laughing and said 'glad you find me so amusing you cheeky bugger' 'I will leave that note on my head so I don't lose it!!!'
