bubby64 · 22/02/2013 14:33

Trips, - hope you have a nice day with your friend. I agree with Rubes re the endless stream of teens.
Chops - Hope you are safe home.
Soks - the babes will be fine, enjoy your course.
Shabs- yes, you are very quiet darling.
Snowing here again, boys pushed me fown to the village in wheelchair to church coffee morning, as a lot of their friend's were also due to be there. Was a bit worrying, as they are not the best porters, especially where the pavement was narrow! Luckily a friend drove us up the hill again after, as I don't think they would have managed it. They still have not had their hair cut, and look a bit like the Beatles in the Sargent Pepper years Confused , one of mums mentioned it, she has never seen them with long hair befor!Grin Grin

Evening girls xx

Back, unpacked, house cleaned and snuggled on the sofa under some blankets. House is freezing! Third load of washing is in the machine, Picking the other two up tomorrow.

Was nice though, on the flight home we got given lounge access when we landed, so went there for a shower, coffee and breakfast before heading to pi k the boys. Very very tired now though! No sleep last night, so now been up for 27 hours!

Morning! Off to a wedding today. Really cba. Not sure why. Maybe because its a kids free affair and we've had a lot of hassle with b

Sokmonsta · 23/02/2013 10:19

Babysitters - asked mum but she double booked. We've compromised, as reception is literally over the road from parents. But has soured relations a little. Hmm

triplets · 23/02/2013 23:15

Did you go Sokky ? Back home, very long 7 hour drive, thru fog, sleet and hail! Two hours to unpack, washing machine on non stop.....................tell me its worth it? Night all xx

Dy ever wonder when its going to stop snowing? Whats this white stuff outside again? Thomas is already up and in the shower as he has already arranged to meet his mates and go to the woods with their bb guns, its an hours walk! Dh has already said he isnt, he said he is and I know who will win! Lovely to be home................

Sokmonsta · 24/02/2013 09:42

Morning!

Yes, I did go in the end. Dashed into church literally just ahead of the bride Blush

It was a lovely intimate service, much, much smaller than I'd been led to believe from discussions about it with my friend. I dragged an unwilling dh along to the service and tea & cakes after, but to make things nice with my parents, and to keep dh happy, I went to the reception on my own. I probably enjoyed myself a lot more too. Was also better for the children as I didn't have to drag them out in the freezing cold. I did have an evil chuckle to myself when I got a text saying Jennifer wouldn't settle.

I really am glad I did make the effort. Especially as the girls then asked what we were doing for my birthday and I hadn't even got as far as thinking about going out. So there are plans to be made and look forward to now. Perhaps dh's reluctance to go was contagious and made me feel I didn't want to make the effort. I know it's a big failing of mine anyway so I really need to keep check on that.

Dh is a bear with a sore head this morning though, and I've just sent him back up to sleep. He's not even had anything to drink but says it feels like a hangover.

Jennifer is trying her hardest to crawl. She's got a commando thing going on at the moment but it takes so muh effort. I realised yesterday that the majority of time she is just dragging herself along with her arms. Her legs don't give her any push at all and usually wave around in the air. Very amusing to watch.

Sokmonsta · 24/02/2013 09:43

Oh trips! I'm hoping your boy does get to go out just so you don't have bickering to contend with! Is that wishful thinking?

It keeps trying to snow here, even started settling last night. But alas, no more than a thin dusting which was soon gone.

Chopstheduck · 24/02/2013 13:36

afternoon girls x

Didnt get up til 10 this morning, very unusual for me!

Did he get to go out Trips?

Glad you did enjoy the wedding in the end, soks!

Yep, brought back pressies for the kids, and some of their favourite american goodies. They are currently high on Froot loops and poptarts! It's lovely to have all the family back together again now, though I am missing the luxuries of the hotel a bit!

Can't believe back to school runs tomo

Dd also out, her best friend came at 11am and haven`t seen them since. So just finished all the unpacking, sorting etc and in need of a rest....................so exhausting sorting socks:o

bubby64 · 24/02/2013 22:09

Good Evening All. Trips- still snowing on and off here too. I seem to have been cold all day. Soks- Glad you managed to get yo the ceremony and evening do. It sounds like you needed a night out.
Chops - Glad you are back ok, and getting yourself sorted.
I ended up cutting the boys hair myself with the clippers, James said ok, just clip it all over like I used to do, I did it on a number 4 but he now says his is a bit too short, and he rekons he will get some stick tomorrow at school,Blush , especially as it was so long, but its neat and tidy, and he has some scurff, and it will do his scalp good. Mike's I left the top and front a bit longer, so he is a bit happier Grin . Next time I wil take them to the barbers!!

Early birds you two...................goodmorning :)

Chopstheduck · 25/02/2013 07:37

Morning girls xx

Backt o reality with a bump. It's far too early, I've slept funny and my neck hurts, and Ravi is spoiling for a temper tantrum. He is lovely most of the time, but he is in a bad mood he can have the horrendous tantrums, and he has def gotten out of bed on the wrong side this morning. The other two boys can see it full well and are winding him up gleefully

I cut everyones hair. Shay is currently doing a Noel Gallagher look, been styling it this morning. DD keeps begging me to let her dye her hair. She wants to go red, she is a dark blonde. I'm sure it will come out orange. Actually I was quite tempted to buy orange, switch the packets and put her off ever doing it again Grin

Morning! Finally got a very grumpy little girl off for her nap. Both of them fighting sleep while eating breakfast! Joshua went down like a lamb but Jennifer is having real issues being put down at the moment. Even in the middle of last night. She was screaming her head off when I woke up. Dh had got up and was trying to soothe her to no avail. So I ended up rocking her and eventually bringing her into bed with us and giving her a bottle as I thought she might be hungry. Well it worked and she went back to sleep in her cot. But I'm exhausted and dh is as grumpy as she was! Fingers crossed its a phase/teething/will pass eventually!

bubby64 · 25/02/2013 11:21

Morning. Chops/Ruby - Mike is like Rav, but he also went into temper tantrum this morning, over his haircut, which, i think is not too bad, i know its shorter than he wanted it, but he didnt want it cut at all! He was throwing things about, saying he wasn't going to schoolSad , James is being ultra helpful, but he is under a promise we will buy him a PC game he wants if he behaves both at home and knuckles down at school and keeps out of trouble. (he is on the "radar" at school as far as his behaviour is concerned), but they both managed to catch the bus in time. We will see this afternoon if they get a lot of stick about the haircuts! I have promised next time I will take them to the barbers, I don't think they will let me touch it again, I just didn't have the £20 it would have cost for it to be done this time.Sad
Trips- agree about being back to the grindstone, just think its only 5 and a bit weeks til Easter!
Soks - Sad about Jen, hopefully she will soon get over this stage and settle backninto her routine. Mike did the "comando crawl", I came to the concludion it was to do with his hypotonia, it may be the same for her.
Morning ShabsGrin

Chopstheduck · 25/02/2013 13:13

soks, it will pass xx

Bubby, hopefully he is worrying about nothing. Number 4 is quite short, Rav and Jack on a 7. For some reason it always looks shorter on kids. But I doubt the other kids will give him any stick and it will soon grow back.
