Ruby - want to borrow a cat?? Rosie bought me a very nice present today, she came in, jumped on my lap and deposited a half eaten shrew there as a gift!
James is still hopping around, Richard has said he is "milking it" but the ankle has turned into a rainbow of colours and he does genuinly seem in pain, R has also said he should put more weight through it and get rid of the crutches, and thats despite me telling him A+E told him to use them for a week to give the ankle time to heal Sad I am just worried now how much R will nag him to stop using them when I am in hospital SadSad.
I have done everything I can to make everything go smoothly, I have even done a big shop today and stocked up on ready or easy cook meals DH can do, and made sure the boys have already packed their school bags and PE kits ready for Tuesday morning. I have left both cash for DH plus left him with dinner money ready in envelopes. All washing done and put away, house is clean, tidy and vacuumed through. Just waiting now!

Evening girls, the end of a long two weeks, had a very stressful w/end with dd and her friend, feel worn out with her atm.
Rubes we would holiday in Europe, its just that its been so very awful these last 5 years as you all know, America is our dream, afraid everything else seems so boring. We had always said we would drive across America, fly in NY, then follow route 66 back to the West Coast. We are not giving up!!

Morning girls. Good luck Bubbs xx

Sokmonsta · 07/01/2013 07:59

Morning ladies.

Wishing you all the best for today bubs

Trips, hold on to your dream trip. There must be someone out there who will insure, even if it does cost. Fingers tightly crossed.

Today I am at the hospital with Jen to see if she's just being stubborn or there is a reason why, at 9 months, she refuses to weight bear or to pull up when you hold her hands. Apparently this is something she should have been doing for a while. I can now get her to sit unsupported, but only when she is on a lap. Anywhere else and she's straight over. But it's progress nonetheless.

Joshua is storming ahead. Crawling, pulling himself up and now a little cruising round the furniture.

Morning girls

Good luck at the hospital, Soks.

I'm starting a diet today Need to try to lose a stone before Montreal. Trying the NHS podcast for couch to 5k, but I'm really not a runner so not sure how successful that will be! Otherwise will prob have to sign up to the gym again, but trying to cut costs.

chops good luck with your diet. I desperately need to lose weight too so organising ourselves for after our little break at the end of the month. Lots of people seem to be doing something called 30 day shred. Normally I'm a WW girl but something else to look into as a kick start maybe?

I do actually like the gym, I used to cycle there and back (7-8 miles round trip) and do the bare minimum in the gym itself Grin It's jsut the cost, don't really want to fork out £43 a month, or commit to 12 months.
I must get my bike out too, I might alternate once the kids are at school, do the run thing one day, and a ten mile bike ride the other. I do love cycling but find it hard to just do a circuit day after day, maybe alternating will be the key.

Chopstheduck · 07/01/2013 08:27

i did day 1 yesterday and did manage the 8 minutes (1 minute intervals) but I just can't see me ever doing the 10 mins without stopping!

Yep, defo! I could do with a nagging exercise buddy Grin

I did day 1 yesterday, so today thinking I should probably try to get the kids out for a bit at least to get some exercise, and will attempt day 2 of the 0-5k tomorrow when they are back at school thank god

Chopstheduck · 07/01/2013 08:38

think will check tyre pressure, brakes, etc on my bike today too, then from tomorrow start WALKING the kids to school again. I have been so lazy lately.

Morning girls x

Hope everything went well, bubby and soks!

Well done ruby! I went for a brisk walk yesterday, thru the woods, past a pond etc with the kids, came back, sat down and five mins later my legs were killing me! Still a bit achy today. Planning to walk up the school, and do a small cycle ride but think might leave day 2 of the running podcast til tomorrow. I WANT to do it, but prob not a good idea if I still achy is it?

Kids are back to school today! Whoohooo! I'm so looking forward to the house being SILENT! Well silentish, our horrible neighbours have stannah round installing something. I so wish they would just get a granny flat and bugger off!

Sokmonsta · 08/01/2013 11:02

Morning. Taking a quick 5 from sorting the cupboard under the sink

Hospital went well yesterday. Jennifer is very hypermobile. Been referred on for physio and they will be seeing her regularly at hospital for the foreseeable. Apparently Joshua also has hypermobile thumbs but these are no where near as much as Jen's. She's not sitting well supported or at all unsupported as her joints are so flexible she's struggling to find her centre. Explains also why she looks like a sky diver when she's on her tummy. But all good news as nothing that can't be managed.

Back into the fray of 'spring' cleaning (admittedly from last year). Hoping for nice bakes later.

Bubs hope everything went well and you are hobbling about very soon. Thanks
