The new headmaster is great - he just has come down very hard, since he got there, on uniform. Year 11 team said not to worry they will make sure he has a pass that he takes around with him. Not looking forward to the soaking of the toe when he comes home tonight. It looks like a Halloween toe at the moment!!

bubby64 · 20/11/2012 09:31

I know all about that- I am dressing one of our security guards toe on a regular basis at work at the moment- he was stupid enough to miss some re-dressings at the clinic and managed to get an infection in his though.

Tom has had both nails done - just one side of them though - first when he was only about 9, then when he was around 13/14. He says that the full nail removal is nowhere near as painful. He has a small line that leads up from the edge of where his nail was - thats where the nail had 'grown in' yet again!!! It goes to just underneath his toe - he must have been in agony with it. When he gets home he will have sweaty teenage feet, the dressing will have worked its way off and it will be disgusting Envy thats the colour my face will be when he shows it to me!! LOL

Chopstheduck · 20/11/2012 12:14

Eww, sounds horrible! Hope he feels better soon, shabs and hope your James is behaving better now, bubby!

I am soooo tired. Rihanna was ace - shabs, tell Lew, Rihanna held my HAND! She was very good though, and we were right up at the front.

After 4 hours sleep I'm now in London again, taking jack and his best friend to a sports coaching day at the imperial college. They've done tennis with judy Murray (England coach) and cycling with sir Chris Hoy and now doing a bit of circuit training. Making me feel tired watching them!

I think I will be going bed very early tonight!

I went on strike today. I have had enough of the fighting, shouting, slamming of doors and general upset that is life with DH and the boys the past few days. I have refused to do anything for anyone and spent the day curled up with my book and iPod and sod the lot of them! The boys got themselves off to school, came home and bought me a cup of tea and crept out again, saying they were sorry, then DH made tea and I have refused to speak to any of them until they all behave themselves. I know it was only one day, but it seems to have made a bit of impact on the males in the household to suddenly not have me laying out clothes, making lunch boxes, clearing up after them, doing dishes, cooking food and all the other things they just take as read will be done!!

Well done Bubbs................I should be doing the same. Just had the most stressy time with dd again . Same old thing, she keeps bringing a particular friend home who then can`t be picked up until her parents finish work, around 7pm. DD was soooooooo rude to me when she came in I could have cried. I have had a long quiet talk with her tonight, but I could see she just was not listening. Went for appt with dk at the hospital on Mon, had to see the bowel surgeon. He told dk that the two hernias on his abdo have got to be done, it will mean a week in hospital and 6 weeks recovery. Prob in January...........I should feel mean but I thought......."a whole weeks peace". I just so need a break from life here, unless things changed..............unlikely!! xx

shabbatheGreek · 22/11/2012 07:04

Morning girls xx

I don't know how you cope Trips - teenage triplets so difficult - its hard enough with one teenager in the house.

A weeks peace - ahhhhhhhhh sounds mighty fine to me xx

Chopstheduck · 22/11/2012 07:24

Morning girls x

Good for you bubby!

:( Trips

For some very strange reason I seem to have my lovely, thoughtful, helpful daughter back. Not sure how, or why, but I'm making the most of it! It was getting to the point where I really didn't like her much, then this week she has been absolutely lovely. Maybe the weekend away did her good!

triplets · 22/11/2012 09:30

Goodmorning, foul weather here. Well dd was abit sheepish this morning and without a word from me she put a coat on for school. A small victory!!

Sokmonsta · 22/11/2012 20:26

Evening! Day from hell, couldn't wait to get the children to bed! Emily went back to school today = overtired 4 year old. James has had a major change of staff at preschool (lots of very unimpressed parents) coupled with him being lost with Emily not having been at school, his routine has completely gone to pot and he's had one day long meltdown! The only thing which kept him even was playing Thomas games on the iPad. Until the battery died!!

Twins have been okish. Jennifer bless her has slept most of the day. Not taken a lot of her bottles so she may be coming down with something else or expecting teeth to pop through. But hey ho. Joshua has reacted probably to James' constant wails by joining in. Was so glad to get them all in bed and they were all asleep within minutes. Having a few minutes peace and some tea before Operation Tidy-up commences.

Sokmonsta · 22/11/2012 20:28

Oh bubs and trips! Hope you both have had better days today. If not, maybe book yourself a weekend away and let them get in with it Sad.

You will be booting me off of the thread soon for what I am about to say.
"God I am so bloody fed up with life atm".
Today looked promising, Becca put a coat on.
Then a big disappointment, my lovely youngest brother txt me to say his wife had found out his plans for her 50th b/day party. We were all looking forward to a family meet up for 24 hours in Durham, we were all coming up from Deal, got everything booked. She is hysterical and has made him cancel everything, she does not want to be 50!
Then my other two local brothers phoned up and took me out for the afternoon................it was really nice.
Got home at 3.45pm and dd had come home alone.............then she tells me that Dad says she can go into town at 7pm with 2 friends to see the Christmas lights go on, its gale force 7 and they were walking.
Then another brother who lives local (I have 4 brothers, no sisters) phoned at 6pm to ask what was going on re the 50th party. So told him, he said my brother should have known better, that my sil did not want a party she wanted to be whisked away for a surpise w/end abroad. My brother cannot afford it, he has no money of his own. I said I just cant understand her, she has a husband who loves her and wanted so desperately to do something for her, as did her best friends, they had arranged a stretch limo etc. He then said that his wife would have been the same, she too was 50 in June, she would have hated a party. I asked why? What reason did she have for not wanting to celebrate with her family and friends who all loved her and wanted to make it special. His answer was that my sil did not want to be 50. I know I should not have got angry, but I just felt that rush of anger, and the tears followed as I said that I thought they were both being stupid as they both look 40, have their health, have no worries re money and looking after young children and should celebrate every birthday as they may not be here tomorrow. I then was almost choking as I said that Matthew only had 14 birthdays, he would bever celebrate his 18th/21st/40/50th etc and they should make the most and enjoy every single one and be thankful. He was shocked I think and we hung up. Then dds friends phoned at the very last minute to say they had decided not to go into Deal to see the Christmas lights and would I tell Becca they were sorry.
She was told then slammed her bedroom door on me.

I am thinking of putting an ad in the Lady.

Mature lady with gsoh seeks live in position.
Not good with men or children.
Can cook, enjoys a drink and stimulating adult company.
Wages negotiable, previous post unpaid.
Used to working very long hours.

Sokmonster, hopefully it is just teeth, hope they are all better soon, seems to be dragging on now.

Trips, come away with meee - I'm off to Brum next weekend for the Good Food Show!

I've been busy busy. Friend got rushed to hosp earlier in the week, busy with kids and school runs, and trying to catching up with the comping! Had FOUR wins yesterday Grin ds1 is very happy - five tickets to the rugby on sunday.

Now where is that harrogate mum? I have tickets to a food show up there that need giving away, must have entered by mistake!

bubby64 · 23/11/2012 18:18

Oh Trips- love your ad, and I totally agree with you re living life to the full.
Well done Chops - sorry to hear about your day Soks, Ruby, lets hope you are finished soon.
J had a minor meltdown yesterday, but he is not feeling too well today, so has been cuddly rather than combative. I hopeful that the weekend will be better, as I start my long hours next week, and don't need the stress.

I have finally found you all. Not been using my laptop for ages and phone wouldn't let me log in. I finally found 5 minutes to sync accounts.
All good in the pixi household. Dts will be 6 at the end of year. 6!!! Where did that time go? Smile

Chopstheduck · 23/11/2012 22:39

Oh pixi! How are you? I was thinking of you last weekend when I made my trip down to Devon! Aren't you south west somewhere?

Bubby, fingers crossed for a good weekend!

triplets · 23/11/2012 23:00

Pixi about time too..........6??????? Where did that time go too............seems only y/day. Would love to go to the food show, love love cooking and all that goes with it. Well just to rub salt in me and dk supposed to be away tomorrow pm, up to Hertfordshire for nieces 40th bash, booked hotel. This morning James came down and said he didnt feel well, so went back to bed where he stayed most of the day. He hasnt eaten and has a high temp. The two boys are supposed to be staying with one of my brothers who lives alone and is looking forward to having them. He has severe heart problems so I have been abit iffy asking him to have them. DD arranged to s/over at her friends, the one she keps bringing home here. At 8pm tonight the friends mother phones to say she can`t go as Alice has the same bug as James! Am I fated or what?? Options are

  1. Ask my brother to sleep here.
  2. If James is not better I stay and have suggested dk take dd to the party.

Feel too worn out atm to sort out anything else.
What should I do?

triplets · 23/11/2012 23:04

Bubbs poor J too, hope he feels better tomorrow.
Rubes my cat Molly adores the rain, even a good thunder storm, she sits on the decking and loves it................oh speaking of her has made me sad for Ollie, I do miss him xx

triplets · 24/11/2012 08:06

Goodmorning girls............awake with the birds and a head full of gremlins. Been on here Christmas shopping, easier these days than trawling around the shops. Can`t believe the kids will have broken up in 4 weeks, how time flies. Now to sort out what I am going to do this weekend!
