bubby64 · 24/09/2012 09:42

I started high school that year, so wasn't that far behind you!
Ours is next week on 2nd october, and it will be 13yrs for us, we were late starters in the marriage stakes Grin

bubby64 · 24/09/2012 10:35

Had to go to the school before work today, James had downloaded a load of pictures and comments onto his phone of Mike, as part of a power point presentation he was going to give his class about his life, and utterly humiliated Mike at the bus stop, and also got some of his other "mates" to join in, so Mike walked home, really upset, and wasn't going to go to school.
I took him in and spoke to the head of year, feeling really stupid I couldnt stop my own sons from doing this to each other, and i did say Mike is no angel either, but he was really upset over this. She sympathised as she has twins herself, she said she quite understands, and is going to have a word about "Family Values". I now know I am going to have a tearful, angry James to deal with tonight as well, but was at my wits end about what to doSad
Why can't they just be nice to each other- they are 2 parts of a whole for ff'ing sake!
I know one thing for sure tho, the phone is going to be confiscated!

Chopstheduck · 24/09/2012 13:12

Oh I do sympathise, bubby. Ours can be sods too, and I sometimes wonder how they can be related! Rav has a temper on him, and can be a lazy bugger, and really nasty to Shay.(s is no angel neither, can be irritating as hell) This morning shay grassed r up for not actually getting in the shower - Ravi has been a bit crafty lately and avoided it a few times. Being quite deaf - I can't actually hear it going on, and he knows it.

Rav was howling and screaming at him, 'I hate you!' then 'I want you to DIE!' It was jsut so vehemently spat out - horrible little sod! Then ten mins later, since by then he was running late he wanted shay to do his lunch for him. s was dutifully trotting off - I told him to leave Rav to get it himself!

Chopstheduck · 24/09/2012 13:13

oh and anniversary - it will be our third next week! We got married long while after having the kids. Did everything in the 'wrong' order really. Grin Actually been together ten years.

bubby64 · 24/09/2012 16:27

What got me, Chops, is he showed me the PPP last night, and it was ok, just a few slightly Blush pics there, the crafty little sod added the horrible page afterwards! I agree about the way they talk to each other, M takes a lot from J really, but this was too muchAngry

bubby64 · 24/09/2012 16:30

Oh, and re the shower thing, J will skip his if we are not careful, I make the point by going buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz buzzz buzzzzzzzzzz, and pretending to swat the flies whenever he comes near me, works a treat every time Grin

triplets · 24/09/2012 22:49

Now dont get me started on sibling relationships............its simple in this household, my three have never liked each other from the minute they were born. Yesterday James and Rebecca had the biggest row I have ever heard them have, she had turned off the prog he was watching, he in return went to rip up her art homework (it was a fab pic) she is then screaming, true drama queen style.............."Mum, Mum, Mum, tell him to get out of here..........pig pig pig............Mummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" Dy ever wonder why its not "Dad, Dad, Dad"?
Today she had an appt in Cant at the orthodentist to see if she is ready for treatment. It was pouring with rain, would she take a coat, would she take 6" of eyeliner off, would she tie her unwashed hair back, would she take off 12 bracelets off of her arm.....would she hell. Got to Cant, got on the park and ride bus, we sit downstairs, she storms off upstairs. Walking through the high street, she walks 20 yards behind us. Then the good news, 2 teeth to come out, top and bottom brace plus back brace for the next 2 years. She comes out and speaks to us.
"What the hell...............OMG...........I am not havng my teeth out and I am not having braces......what the hell"

Yes, its been a lovely day:o

bubby64 · 24/09/2012 23:18

Came home to relative calm!!!!!!!! Both M and J quite sudued, it turns out he had just downloaded to extra page to his phone, not to the flash drive he was showing the rest of the class, so only his "mates" on the bus had seen it, nor "everyone" as M had stated. He had been threatened with a week of detention, and had to apologise to M, and me, and check the presentation had no "extras" on it befor he gives it in tomorrow.
Meanwhile, M had to consider how his (over)re-actions had made this worse for himself, and how it is not a good idea to get off the bus after it has travelled 3 miles from home and attempt to walk home down a busy road, and, finally, how the actions of the 2 of them had made me late for work, and caused the HofYr to miss taking the Yr7 assembly because she was sorting my 2 out!

bubby64 · 24/09/2012 23:28

Trips, I remember my braces, I had teeth removed and braces for several years, also, my DNeph inherited the "goofy" teeth from his dad,(I was so relieved when my 2 missed out on that family trait), he has worn his braces for 2 yrs, and now has the most beautiful straight white teeth, so please reassure Rebecca it really is worth it!

Chopstheduck · 25/09/2012 06:38

aww hope you have a better day today bubs!

I had that bracework done too. Two teeth out at the top and braces for about 18 months I think. In my case though, they all slide back afterwords and the braces seemed to take half the enamel off my teeth, so I ended up wishing I hadn't bothered! I never liked my teeth.
Rhe will need them too - her canines are coming through behind the incisors. She can't wait though, wants to fit in with all her friends! Hmm

It's always mum in this house too. For everything! Drives me nuts when they walk straight past dad to come and 'muuuuummm, muuuummmm' at me!

Another lovely soggy day. I loathe winter :(

shabbatheGreek · 25/09/2012 06:43

Morning girls xx

I am in awe of all of you. Dont get me wrong, Tom can be a pain in the bum BUT nobody thinks about the teenage years when they are cooing over baby multiples do they? x

bubby64 · 25/09/2012 20:47

Hi All. Much better day thanks Trips, I have been asked to work in the office of my oncall job on my free days this week to cover sickness. I spent the day there today, and manager was impressed how many shifts I got covered, I think she forgets that
a) before the kids, this was what I had done as my main full time job for 6 yrs all be it in another company,
b) I do it every other weekend with less resourses and less time
c) That I learned a long time ago if I am cheerful, polite and thank everyone who helps me out, they are more willing to do extra if I ask them too!
I listened to some of the others in the office, and thought that with their off hand dismissive attitude, no wonder they have carers unwilling to do that little bit extra!
Just because I dont want a permenant office job there, doesnt mean I cant do it!
Came home to dinner in oven, kids who had actually done their homework, and fresh fruit salad made by J in Food tec, lovely!!

bubby64 · 25/09/2012 22:30

Just found and posted a picture taken of my DC 4 yrs ago, what happened!

triplets · 25/09/2012 23:04

Cannot tell you how much I am lookng forward to escaping this w/end:)

shabbatheGreek · 26/09/2012 07:23

Morning girls xx

Chopstheduck · 26/09/2012 09:29

aww glad you had a better day bubby!

Wish I could have afforded to come out this weekend, but totally broke- trying to save to put a deposit on next years holiday! Really want to go to California.

I'm sooo tired. I don't think being overweight is helping, and the miserable weather. Thinking of heading back to the gym next week. Cancelled it to save money, but at this rate I going to be spending the money on new clothes instead!

DTS are doing cross country after school today. They both LOVE running, non stop, quite keen to see how they get on - not sure if they will still love it in the rain and cold wind though. Grin

Trips, do you have problems with Rebecca and laziness? I don't know if it is her age, or a girl thing, but getting dd to do anything at the moment is a nightmare. She will not study - I've given up nagging her about her schoolwork now. She doesn't want to do anything except sit in front of a screen or go out with her friends, and she is barely scraping enough marks to avoid being put down sets at school.

Yesterday she came home and disappeared straight out the door, then when she came home she tells me she only got 1 mark in a maths test because she didn't understand the topic. I was so cross, she went out rather than ask for help sooner, waits to ask just as I am heading out of the door to take jack to boys brigade.

Apparently I should have time to teach her later, and I have nothing better to do when I finally sit down at 9pm in the evening, after cooking two dinners (one of which she should have been helping with), doing ravi's violin & recorder practise with him, picking jack from football practice, and taking him to bb, helping shay with his homework, and doing a grocery shop!

triplets · 26/09/2012 14:02

Hi, shes not lazy as such, shes always fiddling in her room, does lots of art work etc. She doesnt do anything for me voluntarily, none of them do. I get to sit down about 8pm, then often go to bed at 9, then read or on here till midnight, need that time to myself! Cant stand this weather, you`ve got me California Dreamin!!

triplets · 26/09/2012 23:26

an early night for me, got to get some beauty sleep in before Sat :o

shabbatheGreek · 27/09/2012 06:42

Morning girls xx

Chopstheduck · 27/09/2012 07:35

Morning

I have a sore throat and snots, feel rough! :( those kids had better behave today, or else!

think being stubborn about not putting the heating on yet hasn't helped. Anyone else got theirs on yet?

shabbatheGreek · 27/09/2012 22:51

Well thats 4 hours of my life I will never get back. Tom and a few of the others fast tracked their Maths GCSE about a year ago...he did well and got a B. Now they are doing an advanced Maths GCSE after Easter, 2013-for Gawds sake - enough already.

She showed them how to do 'surds' (or should that be turds) today....just a quick run through them and 50 questions to do for homework that has to be handed in tomorrow. Hmm Tom cant do them....he has tried and tried but got himself into a real state. I am totally useless at Maths - tried to help him but that got him even more angry. I have just packed him off to bed and can hear him having a cry. My God I dont think schools realise how much pressure they are putting on these kids - and, there again, how much pressure the Government and Offsted are putting on the schools.

Just been and given him a hug...he apologised for getting so angry with me. He lay down and went instantly to sleep.

triplets · 27/09/2012 23:35

:(:(:(All crying buckets here.........my beautiful special Ollie, one of my cats was found dead y/day, run over. He has been missing for 2 days and I got the call at 9pm tonight:(:(:( I know its a cat, but we rescued him and his sister last Nov and they just brought such joy to this house, I am truly heartbroken. What a bloody awful year.
Also my niece who had her first baby last Sat was kept in because of high blood pressure which just appeared after delivery. They have run tests etc all week, def not pre eclampsia showing. They let her home with Jacob this afternoon, by 5pm she was being taken back in, terible headache and severe tingling in her hands. Andy is at home with Jacob, and poor Jen is back in the maternity ward, amongst all the mum with their babies, poor kid. Oh I am so upset, I have just stopped shaking, I was freezing..........shock, another bloody shock. Life is really crap at times, James is still crying, poor boy he loves that cat so much. x

shabbatheGreek · 27/09/2012 23:47

Oh Trips - thats awful. Bloody awful.

I had pre-eclampsia with the twins and its truly horrible. Things got very serious so they induced me and got them delivered. Thing is I felt even worse after they were born and I dont think my blood pressure has ever 'recovered'. I hope the hospital soon sort her out and she gets home quickly with her little man xxx

shabbatheGreek · 27/09/2012 23:48

Blush just noticed there is NO sign of pre-eclampsia. Thats certainly a weird one but she is definitly in the right place for them to get her sorted. xx
