Its only me...................is she coming d`y think? Imagine the washingShock. Feeling really tired, town this morning, dentist this pm in Dover (got 40 min appt on the 18th) then another 3 hours turning out at my brothers!!!

bubby64 · 07/09/2012 23:53

Hi all, glad you are feeling better Chops, sorry to hear about your tooth Trips. I would also love to go to the meet Ruby, but honestly have not got the funds.
Wonder whether the supermum will fly over too this thread, mind you, she probably has very little time to sit on mumsnet!
Better day at work, they actually started to talk to me after I made some constructive suggestions and showed that I could do more than filing.
J had an upset at school, a 14yr old who has bullied him in the past and 2 of his cronies picked on him today, emptied his school bag out in the courtyard and spat in his water bottle, the little shit, Angryj J also upset with M as he "saw but didn't stop him" I said "what was M to do to stop 3 bigger boys?" Apparently the teacher supposed to be supervising was dealing with another incident and didn't see anything, R is going to talk to the school Monday, as we warned then at the introductory parents evening there could be problems, and they said they would speak to the little shit then, but it has obviously made no difference AngryAngry

Oh my God Shabs...........I have fallen in love with the new dentist Blush he is from S Africa, his name is Darni, about 50 `ish, tall, looks a bit like Paul Hollywood the baker and is full of charisma..............just think I have a 40 min appt with him, lying back.............staring up at him..........

triplets · 08/09/2012 07:17

Bubby..............that is awful..........poor kid, I know we always expect their siblings to stand up for each other, but then theres two targets. Kids can be so horribly cruel. xx

shabbapinkfrog · 08/09/2012 08:34

Morning girls - Grin @ lovely dentist.

Dont even get me started on bullying at school!!! I found it stopped, for Tom, after I grabbed the bully by the throat and threw him against a wall in front of all his mates. I suppose thats not recommended but school were doing very little and the bullying was getting worse. Blush

Really bad day, started off well, Local music festival, sunshine, friends etc. then this afternoon DH went for a drive in the Catalina to get some cash, and whist crossing a crossroads someone in a Mercedes sports car hit it and looks like it has to be written off Sad DH ok but ver shaken, police said it looks as though it was other blokes fault, but cannot prove it as R was on middle of junction. DH said he looked and did see him, (the accident happened just below the brow of a hill) the merc bloke said DH pulled out without looking. Then he tried to hit DH and had to be restrained until police arrived. Police said the bloke must have been going at some speed to spin a 3 tonne car off the road and bend the chassis, but it's a national limit rd, so technically DH may have been at fault Sad
The bloke wants R charged with careless driving, but police don't think he will get far, I hope notSad Car insured for £10,000, but irreplaceable, was one of only 2 in uk, and we have just spent £2,000 on having the engine re-built. Don't know what to say to DH, he is gutted and worried about what will happen re police.

bubby64 · 09/09/2012 22:22

Looked and DIDN'T see him!

triplets · 09/09/2012 23:49

Oh Bubby I am so sorry, a horrible worry for you. Very glad no one was injured.............oh poor you two. . xx
Goodnight all xx

shabbapinkfrog · 10/09/2012 00:31

Bubby - the man who was driving the lorry that killed my DS3 - Matt - he wasn't charged with anything at all. If your hubby gets charged with careless driving I will come to wherever you live and show my big fat arse in court. The law is 'an arse'.....it drives me crazy. I am glad that your DH was not injured in any way, but if the other driver makes a big deal of it I would like to remind him that my precious boy (aged almost 8) was crushed to death by a reversing lorry....the driver of that lorry got off 'scot free'

Morning girls.

Sorry for the late night rant!!

Chopstheduck · 10/09/2012 07:20

oh Bubby :(

I'm sure if the police don't think it will get that far then your dh will be fine, especially as no one was injured. Also even though it was national speed limit, it does sound like the merc might have been speeding and also been rather careless carrying on at that speed coming up to a junction on a hill like that. He sounds like a twat tbh, at least his car is fixable or replaceable. You must be so gutted.

{{hugs}}

Can't believe that lorry driver didn't get anything, wasn't he reversing shabs? That must have been so hard for you, I bet you wanted to go after him personally!

Everything very quiet here, if you don't count the dts screaming at each other over the ONLY pair of trousers left in the wardrobe. Clearly the other 5 have turned to fairy dust since me ironing them yesterday.

shabbapinkfrog · 10/09/2012 08:19

Yep he was reversing....there were a dozen defects on the lorry including the fact that the mirror was cracked!! The company got fined £200 and had to bring all their vehicles up to scratch. He also ran from the lorry (with the two other blokes in it) and hid in a house further up the street.

The courts said it was an accident - caused by the driver and the fact that Matt was close behind the lorry. The worst part is NO APOLOGY from him....just I AM SORRY would have helped. Hope his todger falls off!!

Oh Shabs - so sorry about your Matt What an utter wanker- hope he doesnt sleep well at night.
Trips- Good luck with your day, hope it all goes well.
Can't belive this is all happening - had a panic about 3am, we had just come back from a show, and the care had its "show" number plates on, I hope this doesnt negate the insurance, cops wern't worried about it, but I know how insurance will do anything to get out of a claim, if they do not pay, and DH is found liable, we could never afford to pay the costs of theis accident, we would lose the house. At work and feeling sick at the momentSad

Thanks Ruby, I know I shouldnt worry, but you know how things go round in your head, especially at 3 in the morningBlush. R rang insurers this morning, and was told that "show plates would make no difference to the drivability of the car!" One less thing to worry about!
