...When juggling kids, family, home, school and work?
I know, I know, feeble effort, but I really don't know where my year has gone! Its towards the end of February now, past half term for most of us, and I don't even seem to have blinked!
We were celebrating DH's birthday today, and I'm sure he had his last one only a couple of months ago, or thats how it seems to me.
As for the years since my 2 were born, well, they seem to have gone in a blink of an eye.

I've got that book trips! the toad in the hole recipe in it is really good. I think it also had her Spanish chicken and chorizo sausage recipe, and Mexican tortilla lasagne thing. They are all great recipes.

Hi oooogs!
Mine have recently started swimming. Shay can do 25 meters easily but has a very dodgy stroke. So dodgy that Friday evening the lifeguard jumped in to 'rescue' him BlushGrin he was very nice about it though, though shay was mortified!

I've just got back from my swimming class. The new Aquatics venue is fab, and Karen Pickering was lovely. It was a fab experience! Got to see all the behind the scenes stuff. I didn't realise that there had been championships on there in the morning, just missed it! Lots of athletes were wandering around, but no one I recognised.

Hi all, Chops, I assume you mean pics of "blooming thing" not the fence! I'll have to get on pc not on iPod. glad you had a good day at the pool
Trips, i can't believe it, it's started to snow here!
Hi Oooggs, nice to see you!

Pic of "Blooming thing" now on profile, in her favorite position in my chair!

I actually meant the Pontiac, lol! Seen it now though, must have missed it before. It is lovely, wish I was closer, would love a ride in it! Grin

Cleo is gorgeous though - How can you call her a blooming thing! Has the fence worked? Our neighbours nasty little terrier barks incessantly, drives us nuts. Though their's isn't even cute, so has no redeeming features.

Well what a week! My niece got engaged, my other niece announced she is 13 weeks pregnant, my dh`s cousins daughter announced she is pregnant after 3 ivf attempts, and Anna who was my son Matthews very best friend all his life came home this w/end and is engaged! The only negative thing was dh being told it is 2 tumours on his lung not 1. Wonder what next week is going to bring.

PMSL....When my Nan was still alive if I said bleedin' she used to say 'Ohhhh apples on yer 'ead' I have no idea why apples should fall on your head if you said that but I used to say it constantly just to wind her up Grin

oooggs · 05/03/2012 12:48

I like cake trips Grin

Think dt2 needs glasses so have book an opticians appointment for them all to be checked.

Lots of good news trips but pants about the tumours

Ds3 had one hellva nose bleed last night, it was pouring out and he is only 3 and was terrified.

triplets · 05/03/2012 14:14

Aww oooggs, what dy think caused it? Well after 5 phone calls to the hosp I have finally got an appt for dh Pet scan, this Thurs at 2.45pm, got to go up to London, cost a fortune and will take up the whole day. Dreadful weather here today, blowing a hoolie across the channel and peeing it down, so I am washing down the stair walls whilst dh is struggling to put our new bath in. He has just nipped to the plumbers hence me being here:o Advice please, am I being childish........two of my very best friends are going away to the place we stayed in last year. They have booked it for a week, so now wont be here for my big 60, am upset that they havent invited me as we have all been going away tog for each others big b/days. Out of the blue today one has phoned and said she would like to take me out for lunch as a b/day treat and the other has just e-mailed me asking if I would like to go to supper at hers this Frid, just me, not dh on both occasions. I really dont enjoy lunching with one g/friend, its just not me. What to do? I just feel they are both doing it to make up for not being here for the actual day. Reading all of that makes me feel selfish and silly, but I just wanted to be with our friends and have a laugh.

I smelt your baking trips!!

No idea what caused the nose bleed but I took him to the drs today and he still has a temp also an ear infection and conjunctivitis came on this afternoon. Poorly sausage.

No idea what to do about your friends, hmm I would be pretty annoyed about bot being invited as well, especially as it is your big one.

Mumof1plustwins · 05/03/2012 20:07

Hello ladies!
Baby G is crawling everywhere!! He just recently discovered he could crawl bless him.

Trips I wouldn't go if you won't really enjoy it. Make other arrangements with DH and some other friends maybe instead?
When is your bd?

bubby64 · 05/03/2012 21:44

Hi Girlies - Trips sounds like guilt talking there, I think they have to try a little harder, they know it is your 60th, they knew they had booked a holiday without you, do something for yourself, not something you will not really enjoy just to stop them having feelings of guilt! So pleased with the good news, and Sad about the memories it bought back.
Chops had to lol, didn't realise you meant the Pont! It is a lovely car, and we hire it out for weddings, proms, etc to help pay for the running costs.
Oooggs If he has an ear/eye infection it prob involved inflamation ofthe mucus membranes of his nose as well, which whould make him prone to nosebleeds.
Mumof1 now he's off, nothing will stop him, look out world, BabyG is coming!
Shabs Keep in out of the cold, do you hear.

22nd..........cannot believe I am going to be 60, and have 14yr old triplets!! Inside I feel like Im about 45, Im told I look still in my 40s..............but the body is almost 60 yrs old. Its scary. Married almost 34 years, seems impossible. I feel young, I look at some of my friends I went to school with and they seem so old, yet my life has been sooooo stressful the last 18 years. I know money isnt everything and we are not on the bread line, but I would love to have more so that things like struggling to put a new bath in today we could pay someone to do it for us. H can do it, he is so clever at diy, ex engineer, but it takes him so long! I want it done........................NOW!! Got a result today, phoned St Thomass Pet scan dept three times until I got him a scan appt, this Thurs at 2.45pm. I have always been with him for all his big appts but I think he will go on his own this time as its going to take all day to get there and back, plus the expense of two rail tickets from here. Also the boys have ATC at 7pm and we wouldnt be back until prob 8pm . I know why he has decided to do the bathroom, its long overdue, really tatty, he has written a list in the kitchen of jobs to be done. I feel he is getting the house in order for me......... looking back I dont think I ever really planned my life, I have always been an impulsive person, quite the opposite to dh, always love to travel, that and cooking have been the two things I most enjoy. I know by now I should be playing with grandchildren...............that wasnt to be.............I have a long wait. I hope it will happen one day and that I am fit enough to enjoy them, though goodness knows which one of my three would be the first as none of them want to get married or have kids! If I could do it all over again would I do it differently? Now theres a question!!

triplets · 05/03/2012 22:06

Wheres Shabs when I need her, jeez stood outside last night im me slippers, hip flask in me pocket.......waiting for a drag of er fag..............felt like being reckless :o
