D'y ever wonder where the time goes....

...When juggling kids, family, home, school and work?
I know, I know, feeble effort, but I really don't know where my year has gone! Its towards the end of February now, past half term for most of us, and I don't even seem to have blinked!
We were celebrating DH's birthday today, and I'm sure he had his last one only a couple of months ago, or thats how it seems to me.
As for the years since my 2 were born, well, they seem to have gone in a blink of an eye.

Feeling old and fat tonight.................Beccas has just started her 2nd period, James had his first shave today, and we have had a long consultation at school choosing their gcse options...................can`t cope.

G morning..........Shabs whats with the 6.40am when Tomster is off? Rubes I like your philosophy, its true...........we are moving on, never thought about it that way. Orf out shopping for tiles for the bathroom, its in pieces, so no showers for 3 whole days, H insists we cant afford to pay anyone to do the job, he can do it, its just that it takes a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry lonnnnnnnng time!!

Trips its because nursery are also on half term.....So Lew gets here about 7.15am and Em picks him up about 1pm....

Off work looking after sick dc yesterday and today, which is going to go down soooo well with my new manager! Mind you, they really are unwell, running a temp, headaches, very dizzy and just wanting to sleep, not faking it at all
Oh, by the way, rained all afternoon yesterday, but very sunny here today

Im sulking too!!!! Chellesters birthday tomorrow. Night out planned. Yes, actually OUT of the house...first time have been out of the house since we were out in Faliraki, 2010. Indian planned and then a small pub crawl around Bolton. Reality is.....Derkster is so peed off that IM going out, we dont have enough money for me to do it, he thinks I will run off with any man/woman/child/dog who talks to me in Bolton. Looks like, as usual, it will be me at Chellesters looking after the 8 kids that we have between us. I HATE MY NON EXISTANT LIFE, I HATE MY HUSBAND, I HATE MONEY, I HATE THE FOOKIN WORLD.

I am abit hurt thats all. Its my 60 in March, all the girls always go away for a couple of nights and have a bloody good laugh. I had hoped to go to Norfolk with them to the house we went to last year as I loved it. Two of my very best friends the ones I would want to be there have gone and booked a week away over my b/day. Not only are they away they have booked a 2 bed cottage at the place I wanted to go to. When they told me I said why dont we rent the 4 bed house, it will work out cheaper and I can come for part of it, you have the week. No, they want the 2 bed place and because of her 2 dogs she doesnt want to be with a crowd?? So thats it, I always feel abit left out, they wouldnt do that to any of the others, I am married with three kids I am different. H said oh well we will do something, and I am screaming inside I dont want to, we don`t have fun, I want to laugh and be silly and he hates that. Am I being a selfish bovine??

Shabs - go out and enjoy yourself, please!!!
Trips - that sounds very shitty to me, yours "friends" are being a bit selfish! We have a sofabed, we are in the county next door to you chosen one, and you are very welcome to come down- our small village has 3 pubs, I have some great girlie friends, you could have a good weekend here if you can put up with the animals and my kids, oh, and my DH, of course! This is a sincere invite

Awwwww what would I do without you lot............its us that should be having the meet up, Kent, Norfolk, Suffolk.......we are not a million miles apart:)

Trips I will reply properly tomorrow.........I reckon this is the shite part of being an older Mum......me and thee, my dear friend, understand how precious our kids are.....people of our own age have no fookin idea.

Trips- I know it's a "meet up with mates" thing, but, in that case, maybe you can do it another date, won't be the same as a birthday bash, but you will still have a good time. The offer still stands you know.

I think we should have a meet up anyway, in the Spring when the tiredness of Winter has left my face...............ow poetic:o
