...When juggling kids, family, home, school and work?
I know, I know, feeble effort, but I really don't know where my year has gone! Its towards the end of February now, past half term for most of us, and I don't even seem to have blinked!
We were celebrating DH's birthday today, and I'm sure he had his last one only a couple of months ago, or thats how it seems to me.
As for the years since my 2 were born, well, they seem to have gone in a blink of an eye.

Trips: don't know the full history but hope everything goes ok x

Hopstheduck · 01/03/2012 10:02

Trips, hope the scan goes ok.

I wish I was somewhere warmer too, there was FROST on the car this morning. SImply not good enough! I need to win a holiday somewhere hot.

We're off to see Hans Klok Houdini show 2n. Gonna be running around like a looney, need to get them home fed and straight out the door again. I won two pairs of tickets in separate comps and then bought two more so we can all go.

triplets · 01/03/2012 13:44

Hops...............don`t fancy picking me some lottery numbers do you:)
Ok girlies, update from the hospital. Mac nurse phoned this morning, the reason Kings want a pet scan done is because there may be 2 tumours not one. They have seen something else on the same site as before on the left lung. She said it looks as though the lung has folded back on itself so they want to check that too. Oh dear..............more worry.

triplets · 01/03/2012 13:46

shabbapinkfrog · 01/03/2012 15:11

Oh Trips - that is crap....utter crap....you need 'a plan' again - stuff works better with 'a plan'.

Estars little boy started his intensive chemo (I think) today. So its isolation for them for a few weeks. They have to get rid of the bad stuff so his brother can give the blood to replace it.....that is not, in any way, technical or medical but I hope you know what I mean!!!

triplets · 01/03/2012 21:45

Is his name Daniel Shabs? Poor poor little chap, will you pm me the hosp address and names again Shabs please? I am feeling a tad fed up tonight, loads of reasons, just feel myself sinking inside. I get so tired of all this uncertainty, I guess I am fed up with cancer, God knows how he must feel. Feel very uptight tonight, very.

shabbapinkfrog · 01/03/2012 21:50

Yes he is called Daniel. I will just google the proper address and put it on in a minute. I can only imagine how you are both feeling tonight Trips. xxx I checked with Estar and she said they do receive all the mail sent to them. xx

Royal Manchester Children's Hospital

Oxford Road
Manchester
M13 9WL

Tel: 0161 276 1234

Im not sure which ward he will be on now......think if you put Oncology ward they will still find him. He is doing exactly the same treatment as my friends son, Nathan, who, incidentally is going from strength to strength and is at High school. xxx

shabbapinkfrog · 01/03/2012 21:54

Sorry I should have PM you that - just for anybody who knows Estar I know, from experience, that cards and letters are so important when you are in her situation. xxx

triplets · 01/03/2012 22:16

Thank you Shabs. Going to email the school in a min too whilst I am on my high horse as my mum says! Every day my three come home with tales of bad behaviour at school, todays was unbelieveable. A 15 yr old girl, "accidently" set fire to the girls changing room, considerable damage and loss of property. It was an accident.
In her school bag she had
Half a bottle of vodka.
A lighter.
An aerosol.

Dear God.

triplets · 01/03/2012 22:19

Wonderful news about Nathan Shabs, you were so amazing what you did, it seems such a long time ago now. Another very brave lad. xx

shabbapinkfrog · 01/03/2012 22:29

Oh shite Trips - can you imagine that happening when we went to High School? We live in scary times. xx

bubby64 · 01/03/2012 22:31

Thanks Shabs- I may send a card to Estar, even though she does not know me. I'm sorry you had such a fright-I hate bad dreams.
Trips - Oh darling- my heart goes out to you-If I can do anything, please let me know, if not, I will be here giving cyber support.
Mumof1-you'll soon get used to it all, I only joined in a few months ago, and it seems like home here.

Estars blog today

Bubby just introduce yourself to Estar she will love hearing from the outside world....I remember many hours sat in the old Royal Manchester Childrens hospital with our Gareth - its kind of like the world keeps turning outside the hospital...very lonley at times.

shabbapinkfrog · 02/03/2012 06:50

Morning girls xx

triplets · 02/03/2012 07:23

morning...........trying to feel more positive, misty foggy day.

Hopstheduck · 02/03/2012 07:55

That's great news bubby! Well done to your boys.

I am knackered. The show was very good, though it was a bit 101 ways to get out of a box. By the end I almost wished he would STAY in the FECKING box! The kids were in awe though, and the supporting acts were brilliant - it was a bit like Cirque de Soleil.

DH is off out 2n too, so this evening I have a rare evening on my own - eek! Planning to take them swimming and then fish n chip dinner. Hopefully they will be worn out and will then be ready for bed!

Poor Estar and Daniel. Sounds hellish for them now, she amazes me with her strength to keep plodding through all this.

Today's win is a chance for a swimming training session in the new Olympic pool with a goody bag containing all new speedo swim stuff. Sounds like good fun, I love the idea of trying out the new Olympic pool, but it's the wrong side of London so not sure whether will be going or not yet!

shabbapinkfrog · 02/03/2012 08:00

Toms doing his GCSE Maths paper today......they did the first one last year and he got a B...now they call this paper the re-sit. If he achieves higher marks today it will be added to the first scores and he may be able to improve on his B grade. Big pressure on the 100 kids sitting the exam today. A full year early!! Still that will be one lot of pressure out of the way I suppose.

bubby64 · 02/03/2012 09:09

Morning all - very foggy here too, but boys wanted to ride to school-frantic search for bike lights ensued-now they have gone.
DH has taken a day off today and Monday, and, when he decides to emerge from the bed, we are going to get stuff to redo our back fence, as "blooming thing" (our girlie staffy) has decided at 2yrs old she wants to sit by the chainlink currently there and bark at all the dogs going for walks in the fields behind the house! We think a solid fence is in order to stop her annoying the neighbours.
Also, he is painting the engine bay on the Pontiac before putting back the newly rebuilt engine that DH and his wonderful mate Andy have been doing all winter. Andy is a brillient retired mechanic who has helped us rebuild and renew the Pont just for the fun of it, and so it has only cost us parts and saving us £thousands on labour! I think I love him!
