...When juggling kids, family, home, school and work?
I know, I know, feeble effort, but I really don't know where my year has gone! Its towards the end of February now, past half term for most of us, and I don't even seem to have blinked!
We were celebrating DH's birthday today, and I'm sure he had his last one only a couple of months ago, or thats how it seems to me.
As for the years since my 2 were born, well, they seem to have gone in a blink of an eye.

oh oooggs whats the matter?
Well its awful quiet as all three of mine are out on s/overs. We had 5 friends round tonight for my b/day bash supper, it was ok but hard work. They all left at 11pm and me and dk have spent over an hour clearing up! I am really tired but have eaten far too much and need to sit up! I never learn! Night night everyone xx

oooggs · 25/03/2012 08:00

Ds1 is so much hard work and we clash (too alike my mother says!) he is 8 and the answering back, not doing as he is told and he manipulates ds2.

We had the dts birthday party yesterday (they are 5 next Thursday) and ds2 got a fair bit of lego but before I knew it ds1 had taken over and built it all for him with the only helping pretence.

He also told him what the present was before he has finished unwrapping it (quick reader) to spoil the surprise. Then when sent to his room he kept sneaking back and doing it again.

The house looks like we have been burgled, 18 friends to a party = 36 presents and they are everywhere!! Don't even know where to start.

To top it all dh was on nights so after party went straight to bed then went to work last night, home in half an hour but going again at 3pm so he will be asleep all day. We are nearly at the end of this working nightmare but I am sick of doing so much on my own.

Sorry rant over!!!!!!

Oh Ooooggggs that all sounds like very hard work. Hope some sort of calm is in your house today - me and Tom are very alike and at times and its so difficult. xx

The fortnight from hell is over. After ten days of looking after a child I barely recognised, today I left a child who was smiling, eating, sleeping well, NOT shouting at anybody and able to hold a short conversation. He even burst into song at one point! So glad to have seen him through the worst - now its over to Daddy while I have a four day break!

LATEST STATUS FROM ESTAR!!!!!!!!!! Whooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooo!!

bubby64 · 26/03/2012 10:39

Shabs- great news from Estar - How very dare you have a boozy night out, those women would have a field dayGrin
Trips - so glad you had a nice time after allThanks
Chops - happy belated birthday to the ChopstersBearBearBear
Oooggs - sorry to say this, but story of your DS1 sounds v familiar, it was at 8yrs we started with this answering back, wiseguy thing from our DTs, I'll send the Wine nowWink
Concert went well, but downhill from there on- Mike fell and hit the base of his skull hard on the trampoline edge (after James had taken off the padding as it was babyish!) Ambulance to A+E, emergency CT scan as they thought skull fracture or bleed as he was so out of it, turned out he just had bad concussion, but this meant staying in hospital until Sunday afternoon, now got very irritable headachy, slightly dizzy child, who is also bored after being given a list of things he should avoid over the next few days (Video games, too much tv, running about, football etc) At least we have found he does have a brain in there, and it is all in one piece!!

ROFL - Rubester my knees are fookin' killing....got big bruises on them and what looks like carpet burns Blush - apparantly on Friday Chellester and Linster made me give them donkey rides on my back, like you do with toddlers - I gave them donkey rides all round the living room, hence the carpet burns.....they also found a small hole in the waistband of my stretchy trousers and made it bigger....I ended up wearing them like dungarees....we also did the floor dance to 'Oops up side ya head'...................

Chopstheduck · 27/03/2012 07:54

Morning girls!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes, the dts had a busy birthday, and a lovely wekend. Went down to Beaulieu motor museum, through the New Forest and down to Bournemouth. New Forest isn't all that far at all from me, but it's the first time I've been!

Aww Bubby, sounds nasty! They do tend to have perfect timing too don't they! When rav broke his arm and ended up in hosp we had literally jsut stopped at the park for half hour before we were gonna take them out for a meal!

Can't believe the kids break up for Easter on friday - noooooooooooo!

triplets · 27/03/2012 14:32

Mine finish on Thurs............aghhhhhhhhhhhhh!

shabbapinkfrog · 27/03/2012 17:56

Hate having to add this message - it was on Estars friends profile.....

Day 18 has brought a new set of things to worry about. Last week Daniel had a couple of bleeds from his bowel - his nappies were filled with deep red blood clots - but each time he was low on platelets, so he had several transfusions hoping that it would solve the problem. During the night however, he had more large blood clots and his platelet count is now high enough that it can't be responsible for them. His stomach has also ballooned up, meaning he is in pain again. Scans seem to indicate a perforated bowel, but as he doesn't have any of the other symptoms of this, they are not sure how to proceed. The doctors seem very concerned about it, therefore we are too.

Sad Sorry girls that I have put this message on but I thought you would all want to know what is happening. xxx

Chopstheduck · 27/03/2012 19:50

Oh no :( just as he seemed to be getting over a rough patch. Hope they find a cause and can treat it soon.

shabbapinkfrog · 27/03/2012 19:54

Cant get him out of my mind. Wish there was something I could do to help. He is only in the centre of Manchester - about a 10 minute car journey from my house. x

triplets · 27/03/2012 22:09

Oh Shabs, poor Estar........can you give me the link to her blog please? He has battled for such a long time, lets pray its just a set back that they can treat. Poor poor things. Can`t we think of anything to do to help??

shabbapinkfrog · 27/03/2012 22:21

Thats what I have been trying to think - how we can help. See if we sent flowers they wouldn't be allowed in his room....if I visited I dont think the staff would be allowed to let me in....I couldn't take food for them because he is in total isolation. So frustrating. I think just cards again girls....cant think of anything else that would help.

Estars blog Trips I dont think todays news is on...it was her friend who updated for her. I only saw it because her friend, friend requested me on Facebook.

I remember Nathan Howarth being very poorly after his transplant but it did pass. I am exhausted but know I will lie awake for hours trying to think of a way to help out! xxx
