Fab fab fab news Trips I only came on here looking for an update Smile Smile Smile seems I timed it well. Smile Smile Smile

It's been a manic few months here, FIL was diagnosed with cancer and been receiving treatment (responding well), he was diagnosed by same consultant who dealt with MIL Sad. Dh is back in London working, so I'm on my own most of the time, and as before it's barely worth our while (but good for his mental health).

Dts started school faints. They have settled in really well although dt1 has already uttered the "not school again, we just went yesterday" line Grin. Dt1 is already obsessed with who her best friend every day is, dt2 is already worried about being on his own without her back up but has taken to following round ds1 (as ds1's female class mates think dt2 is "very cute").

DS3 (Prince) has finally settled into nursery without dts presence. It was awful for the first few weeks with screaming, clinging and tears (and that was just me) Grin. But better now thankfully. I have three days a week child free Shock. I'm not broody in the slightest, really I'm not, seriously no. Well maybe a little bit...Shock

However, at the moment, I'm doing two OU psych modules, math and French lessons, I barely have time to blink, let alone anything else, but it'll be worth it in the end Hmm. It's even worse trying to keep up with the dcs schedule, I live by my diary.

Can't believe Halloween is on the doorstep, it'll be our 8th wedding anniversary.

Oh Trips - CONGRATULATIONS ON THE GREAT NEWS!! Thanks Yes, I know I'm "shouting" but its news worth shouting about!
Shabs/Chops - The going out the door mantra in our house is "Have you got your lunchbox, got your homework, got your strikers/swimming/PE kit, got any letters I need to return to school, got your coats" etc etc, but then they leave things in the car, or in the playground, and on one occasion, in the corner of the bikeshedConfused
At school, it got so bad with them mislaying things, the teachers started to say that any child who lost something was "doing a(our surname)".
Was I embarrassed, no [bare-faced lie emoticom]Blush

Well, the boys came back this afternoon, came home overtired, hungry (they had to cook for themselves, hard in the pouring rain), and their clothes were absolutly soaked! I don't think they are that enthusiastic about camping in Autumn anymore.Wink

At lunchtime I walked down a road I have walked down a hundred times. I held a 3 year olds hand. The 3 year old chattered and skipped as we walked along. I struggled so much with that little lad. We went down the path to nursery - the same nursery Danny and Matt went to. Some of the staff are still there....I saw their faces recognise mine and silently shouted 'Do not ask me how I am....Dont dare ask me how many years since Matts accident.'

Yes, that little 3 year old with red curls and a big grin was Lew.....not Matt...didn't stop me wishing it could have been my lad....even for just a few minutes.

Christ on a bike, this is hard sometimes. xx

Orning girls xx

Do you know something Rubester? I hadn't given it a second thought before yesterday. I got off the bus at the end of the road with Lew and we started to walk down....with every step I felt worse. The head teacher at nursery knew me as soon as she saw me...but it was one of those 'where do I know you from' looks. Course I will do it. Its 'nothing' in the great scheme of things. Mind you, it made my heart skip a few beats yesterday!!

Afternoon all -Shabs- I agree with Ruby, she is so right, it must have been so hard, but it will get easier. Sending vibes containing my love and support your way as I type. xxxxxx

shabbapinkfrog · 11/10/2011 17:40

Well I did the nursery run at lunchtime - it wasn't as scary as yesterday.

Lew officially starts nursery tomorrow. He has cried each of the trial days he has been in. Lets hope his first day is much better. Will put the 'uniform pictures' on as soon as I get them LOL - in his words....'Thats rubbish Andma, a red jumper that will match my red hair!!'
