Hi am going to have to get tough, tonight another nightmare. Boys go to ATC twice a week, Tues and Frid 7-9.30pm, get home around 9.40pm, starving and hyper. It took until gone 10.30pm toight for them to calm down, they too are always starving, nothing seems to fill them up atm. I get sooooooo tired, come to bed then cant sleep. Another worry to worry about is that we have just been told that dh attendance allowance finishes this week, it apparently was only awarded for three years, I suppose they think that having stage 4 cancer you wont be here longer than that! We need that money to survive, kids costing us a fortune in clothese lately, plus school trips etc! Must sleep, have school in the morning with my little ones, cold sore looks like me..............a sight! xx

Oh Trips - our DLA finishes next April. Without that we drown in the mud. By then I will have won the lottery and given you thousands and thousands xxx

we're int he same boat too, ds1's DLA finished next June, and no idea whether we are likely to get it renewed. Our family car is motability too, so saving like mad now to see if we can get enough to buy the car if we don't get renewed. Sad

bubby, I noticed one of urs also has hypermobility! ds1 is very proud of his bendy joints Grin He gets a lot of pain though.

bubby64 · 21/09/2011 13:52

Chops -ds1 also has great pleasure in being "bendy", but he gets pain in his lower back (it is very arched and his tummy is pushed out like in a toddlers stance) and has also learned that if his joints start to hurt, to sit and rest for a while. He got told by a sub teacher last term he was being "lazy" and "no wonder you are overweight" when he sat down for a little during PE.
He stood up and said to him "I have chronic benign hypomobility syndrome so I can sit down or I could damage my joints, and 1 lung so medicine has made me bigger than James!" I was really proud he stood up for himself, but I still put a formal complaint into the school! That sub hasn't been seen since! My paeditrician said it is ofteen caused by either maternal or foetal high blood pressure, and as he was the recipient when they had "twin to twin", he had increased blood flow, enlarged heart and higher B/p then.

shabs/trips, it takes very little to push us into a deep financial hole too.

Very upset of weekend as my brother accused me of fraud against my mum! She has given me some money over the past few months as we were really struggling, and he said that because her memory is poor, I am taking advantage of her condition to get her to give me money even though mum has said to him it was her money, and she wanted to give it me! I havn't slept or eaten much at all since Friday, and had quite a few tears, but spoke to a solicitor today, so feel a bit better. How can a sibling be so nasty to another!Sad

Chopstheduck · 21/09/2011 16:20

aww Bubby Sad that is mean. Is he jealous?

You must have been very proud of ur ds for that! Unfortunately my ds isn't very good at that - doesn't help that he also has an asd type issue. They were looking to dx him with pdd-nos but still not really chased that up. He used to collapse outside school every day in a total meltdown from tiredness and sensory over stimulation but is doing far better now :D

He went to camp this summer jsut gone, got thru a whole bottle of ibuprofen and had a private room so he could go to sleep an hour earlier than the dorms, but he had a whale of a time. He mainly gets pain in his hips and ankles.

bubby64 · 21/09/2011 18:34

Chops - well done for him! I must admit i am already a little worried over scouts in a couple of weeks, they are doing a weekend camp which includes a 7 mile hike! The scout leaders are aware of his problems, and said they will keep an eye on him, but I know my son, and he will try valiently to keep up!

What really annoys me about this prob with my mum is the fact that I am the primary carer, I get her shopping, take her to appointments, take her dog to the vets etc, as well as sort out her carers and do her housework and washing, which all costs money and petrol he does f**k all except go over there once a month and mow her grass, and this he has only been doing this year! before that, he maybe saw her 3-4 x per year!Angry
Dont get me wrong, I love my mum, and I have never begrudged the time I spent looking after her, and she recognised this by helping me out when things got bad this year financially.
He and my younger brother both had large amounts from mum about 10yrs ago, when i was not needing help, but he said this was when mum had a good memory and knew exactly what she was doing, so it was different.Hmm

Hubby is off to Germany tomorrow teatime....his 'little brother' bought him a plane ticket!! BIL has had to go back into hospital tonight. Think he has overdone it to be honest. Went out yesterday and today walking (he is a long distance runner) and had to sit for quite a while because he was very dizzy. His girlfriend said he fainted again. She dragged him to the hospital and they are keeping him in for a few hours to check him over. He was in the Queens Lancashire Regiment for years and did many tours in Northern Ireland. It changed him dramatically as a person, he witnessed his best friend killed in a bomb explosion. I think that he now thinks he is untouchable. That he cant be injured or hurt. Its strange what conflict and war does to those involved in it.

Also woke up this morning to awful news. My hubby's best friend (since about the age of 3) died suddenly last night. He was the life and soul of the party - always laughing and joking. DH has hit a bit of a low and doesn't know what to do with himself. My SIL has rung me from Spain tonight heartbroken about the man who died. Two families who lived next door to each other. Both Fathers were coal miners and each family had 7 children. Getting older is not great Sad

APART FROM THAT - everything is OK.

Hope everybody is OK tonight - can we have bacon butties with brown sauce on the trolley tonight please Trips? xxx
