Thank you again to @Fearless31 for such a fantastic article. I love that you talk about "Sarah" being a victim, too. That was commendable of you particularly as she has been so unpleasant to you throughout this debacle. I am so sorry your pension has been adversely affected and know that there will be many others who read that article when its published publicly tomorrow who will be thinking "oh no, I did this MLM, too, and spent savings/got into debt".

I am interested to see the fallout from this, please everyone post what you can of the bots reactions as I am banned from most of their SM.

@Fearless31 great piece - too late for you , but you really are doing other women contemplating this kind of fluff a big favour. It’s been clear to me for years that this is essentially a sales model where the whole recruitment purpose is to rope women into spending a ton of their own money on their products and hence why they push the recruitment aspect, they need all these new joiners constantly to keep those sales flowing - if it was just organic sales it wouldn’t work and would dry up - if the products were that amazing and fairly priced they would have had a bash at proper retail with shop fronts etc on the company’s dollar. I think they’ve taken this direct selling to total extremes and it’s biting them on the arse - when I was a teen and young married in the 70s and 80s Avon, oriflame and Tupperware and kids clothes one( forgot it’s name) were big things - all at each others houses or an Avon catalogue dropped in , but not once was I asked to set one up myself or hassled by the party organiser and it was promoted as a nice bit of an add on income for a lot of stay at home mums - the first whiff I got of hard selling and recruitment lines was a friend with Amway- mid 80s -

As yawn is now learning- building a proper business is far harder, more complicated , often comes with legal obligations and doesn’t usually involve sashes and huns and hassling your friends to boost your own income. She’s still got the fake it till you make it bragging mentality though , same with Castle. If I was a friend of theirs they would irritate the pants off me.

@Fearless31 thank you once again for going nuclear; your Daily Mail interview will make a difference, and will rattle the cages of those higher up the Forever Living midden of a pyramid for a long time to come. I hope the article encourages other victims of MLM cults to speak to journalists to raise as much awareness as possible of the hideous financial and emotional consequences of getting roped into these schemes. Kudos to you!

It all got a little bit overwhelming last night, in a good way, and I needed to take a break from it this morning. I don't know if you have netflix @Fearless31 but there is a fab series "The Gentlemen" (comedy drama) directed by Guy Richie, of which the second series is just out. I downloaded all 8 parts of second series and Me and DH watched on the flight out and back from Egypt. Brilliant way to while away the boring hours on board. It certainly brings our problems into perspective .

@dickiedavisthunderthighs I agree, some of my comments have been removed. I thought I’d allude to Mr Boring by saying if one of their top bots is teetering on bankruptcy how can anyone else hope to make it. Didn’t name him but that was wiped (not surprised). However any comment about the difference between a PS and MLM seems to be wiped. There is obviously a legal tightrope being walked. I haven’t had a chance to read the article to work out what they left out. Though I did enjoy the fact Headband had a decade added to her age - she has a certain vanity so I expect she’s not keen on that!

It’s pissed the bots off but I think they’ve been given very careful instructions not to reference it directly as FLP doesn’t want any more examples of bullying in the ranks of FL to appear in public. That’s to be continued strictly behind closed doors. Rictus also has a video up about how NWM has been done badly in the past and lies have been told etc etc, she positions herself as something new and honest and then goes on to talk about income and retiring her husband etc all of which are also lies.

FL bots are having to tread that tricky path - they need to reassure their downlines if they are asking questions, but they can’t mention overtly that FL is in the news, either, in case they draw attention to the article

Just checked back into the article comments and I probably responded about eight times to posts in an innocuous fashion and only one short post remains. I am not a paid up member of the DM so perhaps that’s why. I’ll just have to stick to sharing the far and wide 😁

There were 152 comments on there first thing this morning when I looked but then it went down to 122. Then just 3 more added for the rest of the day. It does seem a bit strange.
