@Crwysmam absolutely! Yawn doesn’t know what she doesn’t know and hasn’t had any proper training which would not only teach her to a better standard but teach her to stay in her lane as far as knowledge and skills are concerned. A good PT knows the limits of their knowledge and sends their client back to their GP or suggests they see a physio to assess. This is the client-centred approach which puts the client’s needs and safety over future payments of £40! She hasn’t even worked in a gym post “qualification” to learn from other PTs, all she has done is watched a few YouTube videos and has taken a few multiple choice tests.
I take referrals from GPs and psychiatrists but I don’t claim medical skills I don’t have, I would never advise on medication or try to tackle issues that are not within my skills and knowledge, I refer on. I don’t think Yawn realises how tricky things could potentially get for her if someone is physically damaged on her watch and decides to do something about it.
