Can someone please explain this to me.
An influencer (in her mind) posting a reel about being blocked by a friend because she’s into network marketing, but the friend doesn’t agree with it.
And the influencer says….
But I’m not here to make money selling things what I do is recommend things I like to buy for myself to other people so I feel it’s generous.
Do people actually believe this rubbish? I recommend stuff to others all the time as they do me but it’s not a business model, is it?
She genuinely sounded like she was doing the world a service. Lots of replies including ‘ignore the haters, babe’ usually by someone with ‘travel’ and ‘girl boss’ in their title.

Indeed- but how many people do we know who recommend to a friend and then go on to pester them, try and sign them up to’recommend’ - a genuine ‘ recommend’ comes with no strings attached

Preacher Bot has started a Crowdfunder to enable him to offer

‘friendship, encouragement and companionship to those who need it most.
Whether that’s meeting someone for a coffee, making a phone call, sending flowers after a difficult appointment, sitting with someone during treatment, or simply reminding them they’re not facing cancer alone, every act of kindness can make a difference’’

YouOKHun · 28/07/2026 21:38

I don’t want to be too critical of Preacher Bot at the moment because I know he’s in a very difficult situation currently. Now that he is no longer in remission he is returning to setting up a support charity for people with cancer and he has kicked off an online fundraising endeavour. It transpires that he was previously thinking that he was going to charge for the support service but he’s wisely abandoned that now and it will be a free support service/network.

I won’t say anything but am I unreasonable in wanting to say to him, ‘FFS don’t let Forever Living anywhere near this endeavour’. No coffee mornings with Aloe on the side, no product sponsorship to raise money, no bots sneaking in to offer support and try and recruit, no Aloe Vera “care packs”. If he does set this charity/support network using donations and it becomes marinated in Aloe Vera then it could get very difficult for him and it would be a real exploitation. I really hope it isn’t the best way he can think of to prop up his FLP biz.

YouOKHun · 28/07/2026 21:42

@Spongebobette snap! Is it making you nervous too? Even if he decides to keep FLP out of it he may need to be quite strong to enforce that because if the bots and HQ sense an opportunity too good not to exploit then they will be along with their “generosity” and override him. I fear he won’t be enforcing this particular boundary anyway :(

Spongebobette · 28/07/2026 21:49

Snap indeed!!

I read his blurb about the fundraising and although it doesn’t mention FL I had bad vibes

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 29/07/2026 10:49

I think it's really shady. What exactly needs paying for? How will it be accounted for? Crowdfunders are absolute no-mans-lands and he's veering dangerously into unregistered charity territory.

user1471446301 · 29/07/2026 11:01

yes, my spidey senses were tingling. Is the money just to pay for fuel to drive to someone and cover their coffee? I don't get either what the funding is for. Sadly any bot with noble intentions isn't to be believed. I appreciate he is perhaps trying to help and also distract himself from his own situation. A quick google reveals quite a few help lines apart from the big charities for specific cancer types. I'm also not keen on the dramatic photos head or cup in hand to garner attention and harvest comments and likes, but then perhaps I am being mean and should not be wary. I truly hope he recovers to full health and I wish him all the best but the grift vibe is just so strong.

Spongebobette · 29/07/2026 11:55

Yes agree with all the above

he’s just asking for money with no accountability

user1471446301 · 29/07/2026 17:35

I'm blocked by Salon, but she's just popped on my Insta. Has she dropped the Z then and replaced with a K (beauty). Company name is very similar to the shop owned by a previous Greek Dragons Den participant, replace the second letter with the 9th letter of the alphabet in the shop name.

There are plenty of posts denouncing they are an MLM, but their compensation plan says different Planner: Is an individual that enrols in xxxxx not only to purchase products for their personal use, but also to become a distributor of xxxxx and earn income by referring Customers and building a sales organisation.

My irony meter has gone over its red line

Yawn is trying to convince people to part with £25 a month for her advice - by asking if they can afford another month of being invisible

Edited

You must of eye rolled as hard as I did when I saw her thing about the couch to 5k section of the Buildabear app …
she’s obvs seen I started a couch to 5k running group and I ran with them for 9 weeks and took them from non runners to running 5km ( and they’re still meeting up together which I love ). But I used the nhs app and I taught them what I know and I RAN WITH THEM …
her thing in the app is her voice guiding people through it … why the eff would you pay £25 a month to listen to her drivel when you could have jo Wiley for free …?
my group was about accountability and actually meeting together to be able to commit to it properly and finish it … but once again, she doesn’t want to do anything that actually requires proper work, she just wants to mess around recording her voice and techie do all the work and think that people will buy it ?! She’s off her rocker

hourglass2 · 29/07/2026 22:46

What the fuck is up with Castle's videos? They've been sped up about 10 times and the camera is moving about all over the place, it's unwatchable and gives you bad motion sickness and her voice has been sped up too, she sounds like a cartoon character, bloody awful, who told her it was a good idea?

Justdancevance · 29/07/2026 23:37

Castle’s mum has just had surgery but is expected to do childcare for the youngest.

The youngest was away with mr castle and now grandparent castles are taking him while she’s making 7 or 8 figures while taking a dump or whatever nonsense she posts

I see Headband has made a supportive comment on Preacher’s latest post ‘you’ve got this!’
but hasn’t contributed to his crowdfunder

I see Headband has made a supportive comment on Preacher’s latest post ‘you’ve got this!’
but hasn’t contributed to his crowdfunder

No surprise there, 13 years in bizniss and an empty bumbag in a community centre won't leave any spare change. I don't know who his upline is but there doesn't appear to be a whip round or supportive team campaign or awareness to support his plight like the deodorant breast cancer drives.

Poor preacher man's cancer won't be a popular thing to advertise, by consuming gallons of gloop he shouldn't have a cancer diagnosis by their standards all the nasties should have been cleansed away. The FL UK FB page has done a lot of dirty deleting since the fugitives were outed by the FTC. This statement from 5 months ago has gone but I saved it "There is clear, medical evidence that by drinking Aloe Vera Gel the bowel is able to take up these nutrients more efficiently.

His Live update does explain more about his crowdfunder (it is to cover coffee and his travel as he can't afford to do this himself) So no legacy or willable income from FL and no passive income for when he's now not working his bizniss which they all claim. Get well soon preacher man, continue with your paid employment when you recover and as they say #fuckcancer #fuckforever.

YouOKHun · 30/07/2026 12:56

The sensible thing for Preacher Bot to do would be to offer to raise funds for an established and registered charity and have their support for his own situation - all above board. Later if he has too much on his plate he can step back and not have to worry about his nice idea mutating into a questionable endeavour or people asking where the donations have gone. Even if the money is just to fund the expenses of providing support for others and he’s being open about it, what happens if he isn’t well enough to follow through with his idea?

Interesting his talk of being broke after stepping back from his FLP business. He says not long ago he would have funded it all like he did a few years ago when he paid for cancer care packs himself. This I take to mean that once upon a time cancer “charitable” endeavour was a volume increasing winner. These days, as he discovered last autumn, it doesn’t work so well. Last autumn instead of sponsoring product he was getting other bots donating products to his care packs instead of sponsoring items for the care packs and he was having to appear grateful even though it was obviously a huge irritation to him.

I think his heart probably is in the right place even though he is a bot and any good intentions liable to corruption. He is having to ward off all the crack pot cures and suggestions of just going and getting a liver resection in the USA where they “do things properly”, liver resection c.$100,000-120,000 plus other expenses, his entire treatment $600k plus. Perhaps the Fat Controller would like to cough up?

I do feel a bit sorry for him but I suppose the bot circles he moves in are going to suggest some kind of Woo because their friend’s friend knew someone whose 92 year old aunt who had cancer and drank aloe vera and survived cancer, dying at ninety two and a half of something else, so aloe cures cancer!

What a resounding silence from HQ and the top bots. I can’t see a single interaction from a high up bot and I can’t imagine they’d keep their caring platitudes private if they were bothering with him. I hope he will be OK and later will reflect on who supported him and who disappeared from view once it was clear there was no benefit to them and their bizniz. He also talks about the stress of being told to be positive which is something for Headband to note. I wonder if anyone will be along to tell him he manifested his current situation?

OP posts:
Spongebobette · 30/07/2026 13:58

Yes he seems to be raising money to give himself something to do and feel useful - asking businesses to donate monthly is not going to happen I’m afraid, it’s not a registered charity

It would be better to ask for donations to Macmillan or another cancer charity which is already operating

I wonder how he thinks he’ll find these fellow cancer sufferers to visit?

YouOKHun · 30/07/2026 14:38

Weird Willy says that he is getting serious about his coaching now (around his full-time job) and trying out a few adverts. He confesses that he’s been coaching for years and had a few programmes fail which is something of an understatement. Anyway, never mind, this time he is SERIOUS and he wants his audience to forward his video to anyone who is kind (what have the kind done to deserve that?).

His basic premise is interesting - people who are kindest suffer the most and there is a price to pay for being too kind. This says something about the way his mind works, his victimhood and his transactional take on human emotion. Be “positive” get “positive” back in equal measure and if you don’t they’re bad. It’s all very ego centric isn’t it? And simplistic.

Anyway, 16 hours later and his SERIOUS video has no interest. If he needs more visibility we know a visibility coach who can help him who has double the interaction on her posts than he does.

I would have thought that the biggest reason businesses fail is because they have misunderstood the need for what they offer or failed to adapt or not positioned themselves well, even if anyone notices they exist.

We all knew Ratners Jewellers, that high street staple, and when Gerald Ratner stood up and said, ‘we sell crap’ he increased his visibility and lost his business. It is now called “doing a Ratner”, shorthand for self-inflicted commercial fatal injury. I am not sure visibility is the whole picture, in fact when you’re a bit of tit it’s better to have Yawn’s level of invisibility.

I hate the expression dream clients too - personally I don’t need to worry about whether the 100s of people who buy one of our products every day are ‘dream’ customers or not - I think it’s good to think about your potential customers likely demographics - but dream is one of those stupid expressions dreamed up by those who can only dream of ‘any’ clients

Spongebobette · 30/07/2026 19:26

I think a dream client for Yawn is someone who will gaze at her adoringly through the screen and hang on her every word and compliment her on her amazing advice
