Botwatch 90!!!! MLM is dying but we are still watching and sadly there are still many victims. 99.6% of participants in these “legal” schemes lose money but they are STILL being promised the world by MLM. And ‘coaching’ scams are just as bad!

New Fred

welcome one and all to bot watching- where we pint out the lies and manipulation by ‘bots’ - those involved in network marketing, coaching etc etc

there is no magic money tree so don’t be fooled!

There seems to be quite a lot of MLM posts on MN, either querying something that looks dodgy; which is great and always gets an informed response on MN apart from the occasional lurking bot. Occasionally there is a stealth positioning of MLM . There is one asking if NuSkin is worth it as it’s been recommended which I’m not entirely convinced about.

Did NuSkin stop being an MLM? I’m sure that was in the pipeline (or so it was claimed).

MrsDilligaf · 27/10/2025 12:20

Nu-skin is still MLM

Crikeyalmighty · 27/10/2025 12:25

@YouOKHun I’m a bit more neutral about inteletravel if I’m honest as I know a colleague who does this on top of a full time job - she’s a lovely lady with a big extended family and a quite big circle of friends - she has found and sorted some really good deals for people , but it does tend to be a bit cruise's, AIs , last minute deals, travel hopping etc . Not once has she ever tried to recruit me or any colleague and we’ve had some really good chats about holidays and offers etc . She did say initially she did it to be able to get a couple of good deals in for herself ( single mum) and her parents etc - she quite enjoys it, definitely isn’t out of pocket and certainly doesn’t pester anyone - so whilst I can see there is an MLM aspect in the mix if you opt to do that, it doesn’t seem that it’s compulsory and can work nicely if you genuinely have a big circle who are interested and let’s face it plenty more are interested in good holiday deals rather than swallowing or applying gloop

Oh good god, Yawn has nominated herself for an award. Minimum cost of a ticket to the awards ceremony ( nominees do not get free entrance🤣) is £325 per ticket just for the meal and ceremony. Then £650 for goody bag included then VIP that includes hotel room for the night is a whopping £2249. All tickets are offered with a payment plan.

How to make money off women who think too much of themselves. It’s the inaugural year of this awards ceremony, and you can self nominate. Like many of these award ceremonies they are disingenuous and self promoting. And very expensive.

Cue shopping trips to buy expensive bling dress and a new DJ for Mr Yawn and a frantic weight loss programme to squeeze into said bling dress. Red carpet photos and lots of tantrums when the budget doesn’t stretch far enough.

I’m so looking forward to the preparation.

Crikeyalmighty · 27/10/2025 12:57

@Crwysmam ah don’t you just love a vanity awards ceremony!!

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 27/10/2025 14:09

I just saw that and it cracked me up. FL do the same with all of those bollocks beauty awards. It’s all ‘pay to play’.

Crikeyalmighty · 27/10/2025 14:14

@dickiedavisthunderthighs you have to laugh at those that are daft enough not to realise they (FL etc and others) are making their money from pandering to the vain

Spongebobette · 27/10/2025 14:45

lol this will keep her busy and give her lots of content for the next couple of weeks 🙄

OP posts:
MrsDilligaf · 27/10/2025 15:15

"I was nominated" made me hoot! You nominated yourself you clown!

I wonder who her plus one will be? Yawn won't go alone, so that's nearly a grand on tickets.

Reading the submissions will be interesting.

Spongebobette · 27/10/2025 15:26

‘Apply for yourself or your own business - this is your moment to be seen, heard, and celebrated’.

it’s hilarious!!!!!

OP posts:
Spongebobette · 27/10/2025 15:28

Of course you could just get a lot of content out of ‘being nominated’ but not actually go to the event - I think Yawn is signalling this ‘I don’t expect to win this time’

OP posts:
MrsDilligaf · 27/10/2025 15:29

It reminds me a bit of that Netflix Series "Inventing Anna" what with all the fakery.

YouOKHun · 27/10/2025 18:31

What an absolute joke. Some coaching bot with 1500 followers on insta creates a website full of laughing with salad type photos and stock photos of a venue. Then she invites the vain to buy an expensive ticket and tag their other bot coaching friends to an event that will never happen as it’s got as much interest as one of Yawn’s own posts.

Yawn’s desperation and vanity are a dangerous combination for her as it’s such an exploitable weakness and it’s keeping her from being honest with herself about just what a big (and costly) waste of time the last year has been.

Spongebobette · 28/10/2025 10:15

The grifter running these ‘awards’ will presumably have a zillion categories and within each category several prizes, in order to maximize the number of stupid women buying tickets to the show itself - which is where they make the money

Yawn will get an email saying congratulations we can confirm you have won! We can’t reveal exactly which prize - here’s a link to buy a ticket and you’ll find out on the night!
(the prize will be a certificate and a walk across a stage)

@Spongebobette ooh you cynic - you are of course quite correct . One reason I think business is so shit these days in many commercial businesses is so many are geared up to the ‘let’s just trick people’ let’s not be transparent, let’s all basically go around screwing each other and constantly self congratulating - younger people are kind of used to it, all the bell ringing, commissions, here today gone tomorrow ‘businesses’ - those of us over 45 ( unless owning these ‘businesses’ - just get to the point of thinking - f* that, I would rather work for civil service/council etc etc - I actually feel very sorry for many who have 30 and 40 years to go in the workplace of today

Son of a Preacher or Pastor Man is irking me. I know he has his own health problems, but yet again he is doing is cancer packs at Christmas, hoping to raise enough "sales for him" to parcel up 250 grifter bags.

Each bag contains £29.71 worth of FL Products. If you take the C from Cancer and C from Christmas it's all down to the CC's isn't it Mr Man of 'God'. £29.71 x 250 = £7427, divide that by £170.00 for each CC is 43 healthy CC's for him. I know he must get the products at a discounted rate I'm not really sure how it works and he is throwing in other bits and bobs (tat) and charging £25 for each bag.

He has only sold 87 already. Where he is falling short on sales I commented and suggested he forego the FL Products and just include a card from a sponsored well wisher and his other bits and bobs as the sentiment is just the same that people are thinking of them and wishing them well, but he deleted my post and sent me a DM saying "Be Kind" I responded by wishing him well with his recovery but being kind is not taking advantage of vulnerable people for your own financial gain and he then blocked me. I certainly do wish him a good recovery I'm not religious myself but he is a false prophet.

Clue for his name?

ticktock19 · 28/10/2025 11:30

@Spongebobetteif it’s who I’m thinking of then the orange one of take that (also shortened to the colourful bird that’s a magpie relation) and second name is what the rooms in hospitals are called that patients are in - not bays! He is undergoing treatment for his own serious health problems but as @user1471446301says that’s not stopping him

Spongebobette · 28/10/2025 11:52

Thanks got him

urghh I hate it when bots exploit faith/illness/ peoples’ goodwill TO MAKE MONEY FOR THEMSELVES

@user1471446301 He is a great one for using the “be kind” shut down as he clearly considers himself a special lovely God fearing superior human being beyond any kind of polite questioning, while he conveniently overlooks how he makes his money.

He was always going to exploit his illness for financial gain wasn’t he? I very much hope he has successful treatment and recovers but if he really wants to raise money for others what about sharing the direct link to the place he says he wants to support? Well done for pointing it out and his prompt deletion of your comment says a lot about his real priorities.

YouOKHun · 28/10/2025 12:34

@Spongebobette I wonder if the grifter running the awards event out of her bedroom in Wales will actually manage to break even? There are apparently 58 hobby-jobbers who have nominated themselves (often more than once) and I really wonder how many of them have £350 or £650 to spend plus paying for London accommodation, travel etc (ignoring the £2249 package which includes one night’s accommodation).

I wonder how many are stooges, appearing on the website as nominees to boost the look of it, who won’t be paying. Even if 58 pay £350 each she is going to struggle to break even once the hotel has presented all the costs separate from the c£160 per head package cost and her own expenses.

She claims she has signed the contract with the hotel, now watch the nominees back out as the reality of spending £350++ just before Christmas starts to dawn on them. The level of interest the coach has does not look very convincing. I wonder if the event will even happen or if the hotel in question even knows anything about it?!

Spongebobette · 28/10/2025 12:45

The absolute fucker has also whitelabelled (literally) the FL products he's using in his examples, so it's not obvious that he's selling his own products for this mega grift.

I agree, he provides no link to give directly (making use of giftaid) the letter he provides from the charity he is 'helping' explains they need to raise 9M a year to operate, his target of 7.2K could be better spent at the hospice rather than bags of MLM shite that they may not want or need.

When he is promoting the bags he is very keen to mention that his products are natural and soothing and he describes each one like an infomercial, including how they are helping him during his treatment, I find it very distastefuI.
I might change my own nickname for him as the Ungodly Grifter. I still have my burner to keep tabs on him but will now have to sit on my hands.
