child benefit not paid

hi i normally receive my payments every monday for one child (4yo) i’ve received no letters or anything and had payment as normal last week. Although my payments are on mondays, i receive them saturday due to my bank, but this week it hasn’t come through and it’s not my bank as carers has come through like every other week as normal. No change of address etc and her dad wouldn’t of put a claim in and don’t think i can contact them till monday so stressed at what’s going on

I bank with the NatWest and my payment is due today (get paid it every 4 weeks) , I've just checked my bank account as its usually in there when I wake but alas also no payment, never had this problem before. Wonder if there is a some sort of problem HMRC end.

Mine not gone in yet either, totally relied on that money, hopefully will be resolved today, but was a stressful few days until I came across these comments

I bank with HSBC , no paid payment or pending payment. I checked my HMRC Child Benefit payment history on the online portal and it shows 3rd June as a payment. Hopefully if it’s a collective issue it’ll be solved swiftly.. I hope!

Sounds like there's been a major fuck up, but they will sort it as quickly as they can.

Also, because it's going to be so well known, the banks will be helpful, eg temporarily grant or extend overdrafts, or refund bank charges for people who don't have money available but would have if their CB had arrived on time.

But it sounds like other benefits are arriving and it's early in the month so most people will still have other money available (that which they'll be planning to spend on food, petrol and other travel etc later in the month) so for just about everyone its a temporary blip that's not worthy of extreme panic or crashing the phone lines, because its likely that the money will be in people's accounts by very soon (and yes I do understand what it's like to be this close to the wire).

Morning everyone, I bank with co operative and my child benefit payment hasn’t been made either. Glad I found this thread because i thought it was only me. Mine usually clears around 11.30 Sunday nights and still nothing. Hope this gets sorted soon for everyone.

I bank with Starling and haven’t received my child benefits either. Clearly the HMRC system update has caused major issues 🙄. Here’s hoping they sort it asap!

My HMRC statement also shows this too, I wouldnt want to be at the other end of the phone today 😂 I dread to think how many calls HMRC are going to get from disgruntled people.

How are you all getting child benefit paid on the same day every month? I thought it's paid every 28 days?

Has anyone contacted ITV Good Morning Britain about this. It would be helpful to get it heard on tv how we have all been treated

My child benefit goes in every Sunday night at 00:00 and I haven’t received mine I bank with NatWest seems like every one has not received there payment’s
they should at least send emails out o update to let people know why there payment’s won’t be in I rely a lot on mine these days.

I'm with Rbs, no payment received. It states it's been paid today (3rd) on the app. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mine is every 4 weeks, paid on a Monday but if the Monday is a bank Holiday it usually goes in on the Friday @GuinnessBird

Mine hasn’t come through either. I called Halifax, as HMRC states to contact your bank first if a expected payment has not been received, and the lady said no one else had called with this issue 🙄

Hey! I'm having the same issue, I usually get paid on a Friday with Monzo, payment technically not due until a Monday, was hoping over the weekend it would be in this morning but it still hasn't and isn't even coming up as pending either!

Just a word of note: payments due on X day can be made any time on that day.

We're so used to being paid at midnight that it's become the norm but there's nothing unlawful about payments clearing at 4pm.

I wouldn't waste any time trying to get through the HMRC today- if it's not cleared by tonight then tomorrow would be the time to make contact (with millions of others!)

What's going on then I be ringing up when they open they probably end up getting loads of calls todayb
