Thread 81! The scam that keeps on giving! MLM, network marking, social selling or whatever else you want to call it. It rinses you of your money, time and friends for the dream of wealth, which never happens. Why? The business model ensures that only those at the very top of the 'pyramid' stand a chance of wealth, all the rest of us just "pay to play". The dream is a nightmare. Tell your stores here.

I've just looked up where the event is. It's at the literal airport in Delhi. Amazing.

@Angrymum22 Yawn’s biggest barrier to estimating someone else’s intelligence is her own intelligence isn’t it? Compounded by living in a vacuum of “positivity” where no one will question her and where her communication is one way, filtered and scripted and only adoration accepted in return. It’s no wonder she is out of touch with what most people can pretty instantly detect about her and her fictional SM content!

YouOKHun · 05/04/2024 15:46

@dickiedavisthunderthighs did you find a paucity of information about the GR on FLP UK’s SM? No real mention at all. It’s as if they don’t want to draw attention to the UK’s diminished standing. It was not so long ago that everyone would be banging on about it including FLP UK HQ.

When I did find the information I noticed that to take a child over two years of age is $200 a pop not including the extras such as child suitable food in the hotel and of course flights, vaccinations, insurance etc etc. so basically $200 for some iffy childcare and a travel cot. No wonder 2Jags isn’t keen to take 3 or 4 children (however many she has) to spend a few days vomiting whilst serenaded by the noise of a nearby runway.

Yawn really does underestimate other people’s intelligence. Her latest story with her running times she did 10km in 76mins, you can do 10km in 90mins at a brisk walking pace. I suspect she walks most of the way and jogs for short distances, probably downhill. It’s really not difficult to walk /jog that distance considering her age and how long she has been running for now.
I noticed that she hasn’t been kamikaze night cycling for a couple of weeks , although maybe Easter break.

That would be very brisk. I have to disagree. 76mins fir a 10km is slow but is actually quite an achievement for those of not blessed with sporting prowess.

Please don't shame slow runners. There are many of us. 😎🙂

“I feel a bit guilty, jetting off to the sun [for an epic girls’ trip]” says Yawn. The implication being that Mr Yawn will sit forlornly in the Thatch pining for her return. Looking at him in the photo he looks really very perky and not like a man who is sorry to miss out on the faux joy and D&V that will be central features of the global rally.

He probably can’t wait for her to go and I can’t wait for her to arrive there. It’s going to be very interesting watching the GR this year, though probably quite a challenge picking the UK bots out from the crowd, apart from Bloodsucker.

That’s not the inside of a Range Rover either.

They always ‘jet off’ or ‘get whisked away’ don’t they, rather than get on a plane

YouOKHun · 06/04/2024 08:40

@Spongebobette and frustratingly always on a return ticket. I wish they’d properly jet off.

Spongebobette · 06/04/2024 08:58

Good god, Bruv humiliating his parents again. What’s the matter with him?

When I hear the phrase “whisked away” I recall the time when I was chased around a classroom by a stupid boy wielding an old fashioned whisk, manically turning the handle with a big grin on his face and wild staring eyes. I don’t know what he hoped to achieve by this. I was about ten years old at the time and the memory has never left me.

I hope Yawn and her fellow bots don’t get galloping yuckyitis on their return flight. Imagine the inconvenience and discomfort …

Sorry I’m not trying to shame others but just point out that Yawn makes such a big deal. She has been doing 10km, regularly, on her running machine, she has posted evidence of this, by now and with the level of fitness she has ( dog walking, daily gym use and dog running) I would have expected her to have been quicker.

Ooowhatshappeningnow · 06/04/2024 10:20

If anyone has watched this country, the episode where Kerry joins a MLM. Yawn reminds me of the women selling the dream in the village hall on that video on FB

YouOKHun · 06/04/2024 10:55

@Ooowhatshappeningnow yes, it is a classic, “tastes like arse”. Also the episode of Schitt’s Creek when they join an exciting new company called Allez Vous. There’s also a mention of Aloe Vera pyramid schemes in Jo Brand’s Getting On when (from memory) the nursing sister Terri signs up. MLM is a rich seam to mine for dark comedy about human vulnerabilities and pretensions!

I imagine Yawn to be like that slimming club leader off Little Britain, (she doesn't look like the character obviously!) Some of the things Matt Lucas says while playing the part I can see Yawn saying exactly the same stuff, it's the simmering contempt of anyone fatter than her...

YouOKHun · 06/04/2024 19:09

I get the feeling from Yawn’s post about how wonderful FLP is because she is being offered a trip to the Taj Mahal, that she thinks she will pop around the corner and stand there serenely taking it all in. By the day of the tour will any of them feel like travelling for any length of time?

She should read to the bottom of the GR page and read the list of caveats and rules if anything goes wrong. FLP wants to remind them they’re “independent”, at least they are if they are ill or there is any kind of problem on a tour arranged by FLP. I also see that if they pulled out of the GR within 30 days of departure FLP would bill their country office, so the pressure was on if anyone had a wobble in the last few weeks. I bet 2Jags was told to keep it to herself that she’d opted out until within the 30 days, so it didn’t cause anyone else to own up to not wanting to go.

Ladiva1971 · 06/04/2024 19:27

The Taj Mahal is about 4 hours away from Dehli by bus and that is not a journey I would want to do if I am being honest.

BSintolerant · 06/04/2024 19:33

She has no idea what the traffic’s like in India. It can take hours to travel a couple of miles down the road in some cities.

Totally I have seen the videos of car, bike, bus and train travel in India and it is hellish

Spongebobette · 06/04/2024 19:52

Am totally here for all this India stuff - they think it’s a lovely 5* holiday and I’m so looking forward to how they document the Taj Mahal trip 🤣🤣🤣

NormalForNuneaton · 06/04/2024 20:00

I'm looking forward to looking for the positive spin on the posts from India whilst playing "Spot the sphincter clenching grins" and "Spot the packet of Dioralyte in the background".

And then post-India we'll have the "amaaaazing weightloss" posts attributed to the C9 whereas the reality is they shit their eyeballs out in Delhi.

NormalForNuneaton · 06/04/2024 20:15

OMG, I've just looked at the FL GR page at the details and the UK bots are staying at the Marriot hotel which is literally at the end of the runway 😂

Contraryjane · 06/04/2024 21:17

Do you think that Yawn will do a photoshop of herself outside the Taj Mahal in a Diana pose?

I was thinking the same thing!!!

YouOKHun · 06/04/2024 21:40

Yes indeed - this global rally is shaping up to be the trip of a lifetime (for bot watchers). The Marriot really is at the end of the runway isn’t it? Whereas the Taj Mahal isn’t quite so conveniently placed.

As some of the bots may be visiting this thread to find out what the haterz are saying I thought a quick bit of geography was a good idea. First picture is of the Marriot which has “excellent transport links” (the Captain and First Officer will be able to see into the bots’ rooms as they prepare for take off). Second picture shows the Taj Mahal with the airport marked with a Red Cross. The yellow crosses are my suggested vomiting stops.
