botwatch 81. The latest thread in a very long series about the deceptions practised by mlms. Unbelievably people are still being hooked in by these schemes where 97 of those who join lose money?

Thread 81! The scam that keeps on giving! MLM, network marking, social selling or whatever else you want to call it. It rinses you of your money, time and friends for the dream of wealth, which never happens. Why? The business model ensures that only those at the very top of the 'pyramid' stand a chance of wealth, all the rest of us just "pay to play". The dream is a nightmare. Tell your stores here.

Nor the view from my luxury bedroom window, just the bathroom 🤣

Twentytwentyhindsight · 10/04/2024 10:55

Yes, I also noted how coy yawn was about the view from her '5 star luxury in Aerocity'.
My guess is that it is of either another chain airport hotel, unless she's lucky enough to have an unobstructed view of Runway 28 Right. You can be pretty sure there will be no balcony or opening windows due to the incessant roar of planes landing and taking off and the overwhelming smell of aviation fuel.

Wintersgirl · 10/04/2024 11:08

Yawn, you know dam well your hotel is nothing like Ubers (which is stunning)

Spongebobette · 10/04/2024 11:15

Ex BFF is also posting the customary ‘inside of a hotel room and bathroom’ photos

presumably the same hotel - perhaps they’ll all have lunch together!

Twentytwentyhindsight · 10/04/2024 11:17

While Uber's hotel at the Taj Mahal did indeed look nice, both she and her +1 have been less forthcoming with pictures of the accommodation for the Rally.
If I remember rightly, she only qualified at 2.5k, meaning her accommodation will be pretty standard bot-class, unlike what she would have gotten used to in the heady days of her membership of the GLT...

Twentytwentyhindsight · 10/04/2024 11:20

Hence the early splurge on the Taj hotel and travel to get the aspirational photos out of the way before the reality of GR as a mere 'slightly successful bot'.

Spongebobette · 10/04/2024 11:21

Can someone remind me who qualified at what level?

ticktock19 · 10/04/2024 11:41

@Spongebobette if you go on the FBO UK, Ireland, Iceland page and scroll to the 22nd Feb then there is a big list plus pics of all the qualifiers - too many to list but the yawns were 2.5k CB level 1

ticktock19 · 10/04/2024 11:46

Annoying Uber and Bloodsucker aren't on that list though 😕

Twentytwentyhindsight · 10/04/2024 11:52

If you check 24 Feb, Uber and Token Manbot are 3.5k and on the 23rd we've got Yawn and A.N.Other Bot at 2.5 K.

ticktock19 · 10/04/2024 11:54

Found Uber and Manbot - both 3.5k and CB level 2 (Uber) level 3 (manbot) - 24th Feb post

Twentytwentyhindsight · 10/04/2024 11:54

Bloodsucker is the only one above 3.5K, with 7.5K.

ticktock19 · 10/04/2024 11:59

Yawns up line / recruiter / yawns ex bff / 2jags all qualified at 1.5k but CB level 2

What are the cheques based on - is it CB ?
So as yawn qualified at 2.5k but CB1 will she get the lowest yoga mat

Butterflyfluff · 10/04/2024 14:12

Yawn is an odd one - she photoshops her legs to buggery in some photos then shares a photo of herself with her leg up on a chair which is a most unflattering angle for anyone.

I also loathe the whole ‘my (insert word of choice) is better than yours’

spanfan · 10/04/2024 14:14

Who remembers the heady days of full arenas for global rally??? South Africa ans Dubai come to mind. Where else? I can't remember.

This venue is tiny in comparison. 🤣🤣🤣

spanfan · 10/04/2024 14:19

I've just googled for global rally 2014. Massively massively bigger!!!

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 10/04/2024 14:21

Soooooo I searched 'Forever Living' in Google to have a nose as the new products (especially that shonky looking coffee.) The first result that comes up is a sponsored post which I assumed is FL doing their thing, and undercutting their FBOs with a discount to boot.

However, when I've gone on the site, I'm getting pop up to say that I am shopping with 2Jags!!! She's buying FL as a term and hijacking their sales. And I'm guessing lots of other aloe terms as well. Can't be cheap and I bet if head office realised they'd be less than impressed....

I recall one (Sweden?) which was in a massive venue

She looks like she's taking a dump on the pavement in one of them. When she's with the ladies from Nigeria.

YouOKHun · 10/04/2024 16:24

@dickiedavisthunderthighs I wonder if that strategy is paying off for 2jags? Sitting there on Google seems like kidding herself that FL product is competitive in the real world alongside all the other cheaper products that would pop up in a search. Can it really be generating anything noticeable for her? Someone (a real potential customer for AV product) who googles ‘Aloe Vera” isn’t going to be attracted to the price right now. Do people search for ‘Forever Living’ just to buy it from a stranger? I always think of the specific seekers of FL product as being a very much a potential bot or already a bot.

If I was a “real customer” and liked the look of an FLP product I’d be searching in a way that gave me the choice of heavily discounted product all over FB marketplace and eBay etc. It feels to me like this is how we shop now (I know nothing about customer behaviour etc, just guessing). Her strategy seems unlikely to make any difference and smacks of scrabbling around and believing FLP’s hype, which real customers won’t. Or am I missing the point of this?

Regardless of its usefulness you’re right that she risks a telling off from HQ which is a strange thing for an independent entrepreneur with an alleged £80k profit turnover to have to endure!

Spongebobette · 10/04/2024 16:35

They all seem to rely heavily on the collagen these days as the hero product

Singapore, Dallas, London...

NormalForNuneaton · 10/04/2024 16:44

From Bloodsucker's FB post:

" (President of FL) wrapped up the day by outlining Forever's vision in the post-Covid world, highlighting our journey toward becoming more streamlined and efficient"

Hmm, I can imagine where we're heading with "streamlined and efficient". We're back to selling FL owned properties like the UK HQ aren't we?.

I wonder else would streamline it and whether any bots are reading those posts and actually seeing them for what they are ....a poor attempt at putting a positive spin on a failing company.

YouOKHun · 10/04/2024 16:49

Yes the collagen does seem to be the main hope @Spongebobette. I notice the claims are getting more outlandish as a result.

Headband bot has been asked by two followers to provide the evidence specific to the FL collagen product that backs up her product specific claims and if she can’t lay her hands on it could she obtain it from HQ. So far she’s stalling but has gone straight to DM to try and find out if one is an FBO. It’s obviously made her twitchy. I can see where she gets her claims from as someone from FLP was telling the bots the same fiction about the collagen on a video the other day.

There’s no good evidence for any collagen product out there from what I understand so I’m not sure how Headband bot is going to back up her claims.

Spongebobette · 10/04/2024 17:06

Has she deleted those questions?
