botwatch 81. The latest thread in a very long series about the deceptions practised by mlms. Unbelievably people are still being hooked in by these schemes where 97 of those who join lose money?

Thread 81! The scam that keeps on giving! MLM, network marking, social selling or whatever else you want to call it. It rinses you of your money, time and friends for the dream of wealth, which never happens. Why? The business model ensures that only those at the very top of the 'pyramid' stand a chance of wealth, all the rest of us just "pay to play". The dream is a nightmare. Tell your stores here.

What is going on with those oversized sunglasses she's sporting today? She looks like a bug!

Sugarplum48 · 03/03/2024 16:11

I wonder if she feels exhausted having too put every bit of her life on sm?

YouOKHun · 03/03/2024 17:58

@spanfan she probably doesn’t even get any travel compensation. If she earns anything at all from giving up endless evenings and weekends then I’m sure you’re right, she probably gets paid in product and promises that her contribution will get her noticed with the bosses and lead to great things one day - mañana mañana. (Yawn, please see the vocab list in your Beginner’s Spanish book. The book is gathering dust along with your dreams of a villa in Spain and can be found under that big pile of Take a Breaks).

Oh do just fk off Yawn...35 pounds in a month, you lying con artist

I am sure she know more than the experts

'As mentioned, general consensus among experts suggests 2lbs is the maximum amount of weight to try and lose in a week.'

Actually 8.25 times more.

Recommended would be 8 lbs, yawn does bigger and better with 33.

Clown.

Spongebobette · 04/03/2024 10:43

Good heavens did she chop an arm off????

Sugarplum48 · 04/03/2024 11:00

Or lose an eyebrow??? That would certainly shift some weight..

ticktock19 · 04/03/2024 11:27

😂😂😂😂, probably both eyebrows and that enormous bouffant hair

Sugarplum48 · 04/03/2024 11:47

There must be some real poundage in that hair alone. 🤔🤣🤣🤣

Sugarplum48 · 04/03/2024 16:30

Yawns entire identity is her banging on about weight loss. I've never seen such consistently boring content

YouOKHun · 04/03/2024 17:40

Yawn says “I’m not qualified to give advice*” and that’s where the post should stop but she intends to give “honest guidance” instead. This is just semantics when the post is littered with false claims, dangerous goals, false promises, lies about her past coaching, and that’s only what we can see.

What honest guidance is she giving to people about eating, exercising and starvation regimes inside her groups? If she is coaching people to lose large amounts of weight quickly then she is giving advice by definition. Is she only accepting people who have cleared it with their GP first? No of course she isn’t, so how does she know she isn’t giving “honest guidance” to someone with an eating disorder and heart problems for example?

Why is FLP getting away with washing their hands of the behaviour of their bots?

MaybeItsJustTimeToStop · 04/03/2024 18:29

There's something creepy about yawn exercising whilst staring at the camera 😂

ticktock19 · 04/03/2024 18:47

I think Yawn slathering over her Forever VIP Stanley mug says a lot about her financial situation. Fair enough Stanley mugs aren't for everyone one, I love mine as I don't drink enough water and it does exactly as it promises and keeps it cold for hours / days.
They're not cheap but considering all the (knock off) designer kit she buys then £45 isn't that much for an indestructible mug if she wanted one that much

Spongebobette · 04/03/2024 18:54

She ‘couldn’t justify’ spending £40 on one apparently despite really wanting one

hmmmm

(this of course is her ‘payment’ for giving up hours and hours of her time and travelling to different cities and speaking to groups in hotel rooms. FL are SO generous)

NormalForNuneaton · 04/03/2024 19:39

If she had £40 spare she'd be better off buying a decent sports bra

MrsDilligaf · 04/03/2024 19:48

It's a fake Stanley cup. FLP are showing their VIP's how much they mean to the company by spaffing money on FLP branded crap which they can take off their bottom line therefore reducing the amount available to give to bits in the form of Chairman's Bonus Cheques.

I thought that too. No Stanley branding at all and that straw in plastic wrap?!
Just looked a bit Etsy/Temu to me. Those “good quality” lunch boxes were an after thought in an attempt to ‘bulk up’ the gift 😂

Angrymum22 · 04/03/2024 21:29

Apparently Stanley cups were popularised by young Mormon housewives in Utah. 🙄

Sugarplum48 · 05/03/2024 09:33

Hmmmm nothing cult like about utah is there!!

Sugarplum48 · 05/03/2024 12:34

£1000 pay rise. Oh fuck of. Unless you show cold hard concrete proof stop making such ridiculous outlandish claims. Moronic behaviour.

fromdownwest · 05/03/2024 13:37

With words such as Payslip, Payrise etc Yawn would do well to google IR35!

Contraryjane · 05/03/2024 13:44

She sounds desperate

Sugarplum48 · 05/03/2024 13:49

@Contraryjane it's crass to talk pay. She has no class. If you need to constantly bang on about what you're earning then you are not earning that. It's all lies.

ticktock19 · 05/03/2024 14:02

I truly can't get over how much the forever products are...the collagen is only 3grams worth and without Yawns amazing 15% discount is over £90 for a month. I know super expensive products is a given with MLMs but I'm truly astounded that people would pay that much. I was laughing at how much Messiah's fizzy crap is the other day (can't stop watching that new bot @YouOKHun) but forever are just taking the piss with their 'nutrition' prices

YouOKHun · 05/03/2024 15:36

Truth in Advertising article from last week. As long as the lies keep coming from central office the likes of Yawn think they can say what they like. I wish there was a similar organisation in the UK. It feels like this country is a safe place to be an MLM company and go completely unchallenged by any authority.

“[In 2022] TINA.org catalogued more than 5,500 deceptive income claims being made directly by a single company – Forever Living. One needed to look no further than the company’s website to start finding the deceptive claims”.

As for Its the Jizz @ticktock19 their UK “representative” is horrific isn’t she? Doesn’t realise that she will carry the can for Messiah when the next collapse/investigation kicks off; she thinks he’s her friend. Silly woman.

MLMs Continue to Recruit with Deceptive Earnings Claims - Truth in Advertising

TINA.org investigation finds 98% of MLMs using misleading income claims.
